just a public service announcement - snack addicted storefront is now re-opened! They are on the second floor on Kona street, next to Purve donuts! hopefully their food menu makes a comeback too! They are also found on the weekends sometimes at Ala Moana mall next to Target. I am honestly not a snacker, but their beef chips are delicious!! ive eaten a bag in one sitting before, and yes it is addicting! LOL. my favorite is the oxtail soup which they usually have all the time. My dogs also enjoy the beef jerkies! they recently ran a $10 promo around mothers day and i ended up getting one even tho we have SO MANY DOG TREATS already! i knew i just had to support one of my favorite small businesses here. I honestly dont know if i should be proud or embarrassed of my dog treats stock pile. We are also so honored to have the one and only bag of heart shaped jerkies! so don't go into the store looking for it, hahahaha! but i do love their core values of their business and some of their instagram posts are so inspiring! I love watching him speak! he's definitely the kindest person in the universe! :)

I wanted to pick up snacks before my flight and I was like I HAVE to get beef jerky's chips because they are just so easy to snack on. I tried snack addicted when they did a pop-up at the Made in Hawaii event and it was super good. I highly recommend trying the Ox Tail Soup flavor and their seasonal Yuzu Ponzu beef jerky chips. It is a little expensive, but honestly worth it. It's a little treat yourself snack! Overall, I will be coming back again to get my snacks here!

I've been buying Snack Addicted beef chips for the last few years after finding them through Instagram during covid shut down and working from home. i try to visit chad at the kiosks when I can and i like to get my chip fix... bit geez, Just take all my money! If I had the means, I would get some every day but alas. I cannot. Budget doesnt allow that. I got an email that Johnny's Dragon was back in stock so I hurried up and snagged it. *click* add a bag to cart And then because I can't just buy ONE flavor... *click* added the big bag of cracked pepper to the cart. oh maybe i need more than one Johnny's Dragon.... *click* change quantity to 2z After going back and forth in my head, I decided to get my mom the new Yakiniku daikon chips and try the strawberry apple rings. *click* add more stuff to cart. whew, i think thats good for now. So I set it up to pick up in store and checked out. First of all, if you never had beef chips, you are missing out. Second, if you haven't had Snack Addicted beef chips then you are REALLY missing out. The flavors come through every time and I know so much care and thought goes into every bag of beef chips made. I also love Davin's story of how he got started and honoring his dad. Pick up from the store was fast and easy.., but then again for all you lazy folks (I'm guilty too) shipping is quick and it gets sent right to your door! They do have free shipping if you put in a $200+ order. I'm pretty basic and my favorite flavor is the Cracked Pepper. Whenever I bought beef jerky, thats the flavor I get for comparisons. I usually take a few pieces and stretch out my bag of jerky. The beef chips though, I can easily eat the whole 2 oz in one sitting! I love the way the chip snaps in your mouth and the crunch as you chew it. All the flavors make my tongue happy. As I was sitting and enjoying the Johnny's dragon and trying not to make cheesy orange mess, i get a ding on my phone, it's an Instagram Notification and what?! new flavor debut?! There's this reel from Davin about developing the Japanese Ponzu flavor. Dude, thanks a lot cause i just spent $100 the day before on all my goodies. Ugh I knew I should've waited! but then again, there's other chances. i patted myself on the back because I stuck to my budget for this month. I will be checking again later to see what other goodies are in store! Trust me, when you try this you'll know why it's so addictive!

They are located in the same building as PURVÈ donuts. Like right across the hall. Ring the doorbell and they come out to greet you. The whole store is used for their process. You can see them working in there. Online ordering may be the better way to go. We didn't know how it worked the first time there. My friend gave me sone beef jerky from there and my favorite was the one with kaki mochi on it that was so good! We went to Purve next and struck up a conversation with another customer, he went over after he got his donuts.

Snack Addicted is my go to place for jerky. I love it because each bag is very flavorful, and I love the simplicity of the texture. The service has been amazing as well. They make an incredible snack for me to chomp down on during night shifts. Highly recommend it 10/10!

I love their beef jerky and yes once you try it .. you will be addicted to it too! I first discovered them by my niece who gifted me a bag .. I was hooked after that . I now go by the shop or order online now to get the extra discount when they offer every once in awhile .. my favorite is the ox-tail soup Beef jerky ... and then the Original... . The people there are also very nice and accommodating. This is a small local business so I hope more people support them because I would be so sad if I can't get my crispy beef jerky fix ! One of the discoveries during COVID was the delicious, thin-as-paper, crispy beef jerky...and one of the best I've had so far is from SnackAddicted. A friend gave us a bag of their beef jerky and we were hooked! I liked it so much that I bought friends bags of their beef jerky and chex mix for Christmas gifts. There's a few reasons I love SnackAddicted... 1. Flavors of their jerky is great and they have a variety of flavors to choose from plus a weekly special that will change so there is always something new to taste 2. The jerky is always crispy 3. Their chex mix is the perfect mix of sweet, salty, and buttery flavor with a crunch. To be honest, it is one of my favorite chex mix and I'm just grateful that they sell it year round (versus having to wait for the holidays to buy it at a craft fair or for family/friends to give it out) 4. It is sooooo easy to order on their site! You just add your items to the cart, choose delivery method (pick up or mailed), and pay. If you are on Oahu, the cheapest option is to pick up as it is free and their location is close to Ala Moana mall. When I've gone down to pick up my order, I always end up adding more stuff (like another bag of chex mix) and they're always so accommodating. Plus, they've given me a free sample of their weekly special beef jerky to keep me addicted and coming back for more.

COVID-19 review During a recent discussion with a fellow Yelp friend about local snacks and foods that elicit memories, I suddenly thought about eating crisp beef jerky chips at Side Street Inn (SSI). That memory took me back to the mid-to-late 2000s. During our recent dine at Side Street Inn, I inquired about those beef chips. Unfortunately, SSI no longer sells those chips, so I went on a hunt. But, thanks to reading reviews, I remembered Snack Addicted through other Yelp Friends touting beef chips and other local snacks such as pork rinds and pepperoni sticks. Our first visit to Snack Addicted was on the same day that we dined at Side Street Inn, as it's located just a few steps away. Sadly, by the time we got to Snack Addicted, we discovered that due to COVID-19 restrictions, they were only taking online orders and were not allowing in-person browsing of their store. A very nice young man came out of the storefront and inquired if we were there to pick up an order. Tsk, no, we were just following our taste buds at the time, but the young man politely guided me to their QRC menu and website (www.snackaddictedhi.com) to order. So, after taking photos of their QRC and web address, I went home to see what was on their menu. What are beef chips? Imagine beef slices that are thin and crispy and have the same smoky flavor as traditional beef jerky. Instead of dried beef that is tough, hard, and jaw-tiring chew, these chips have the satisfying crunch of potato chips with the savory satisfaction with no refined starch. So, if you're trying to cut your carbs or on a keto diet, these beef chips can be your high-protein snack. I placed my order online after 4 PM and received an order confirmation and pick-up information the next day. When I arrived at Snack Addicted to pick up my order, I called their phone number to provide my order number and inform them that I'd be outside of their store waiting for my order. The same young man came out of the store with my order and presented my ID and confirmation text. I chatted with him, saying I was planning to send the products to a Mainland friend. He mentioned they could've packed them and sent them directly as they have custom-sized boxes for shipping these 2.6 oz bags. However, I had other items to ship along with these snacks and took his packing recommendation to prevent the bags from shifting or being crushed. But, I'll keep the direct ship or gift shipping in mind to send snacks to my relatives, too. Anyway, the other flavors and products that they offer are posted on their web page. I got the Yakiniku (Japanese BBQ), Oxtail Soup and Cracked Pepper flavored beef chips which are packaged in 2.6 oz bags to send to my Yelp friend on the Mainland. These flavors are popular local tastes and I'm hoping these flavors will elicit memories of Hawai'i.

Son in Washington requesting beef chips so a quick Yelp search led me to this place. It's located on Kona St., upstairs in the Iolani Center behind Side Street Inn. There's a parking lot when you go up the ramp. During this Covid time, you can order online, call ahead to place an order or go down to the store and ring the doorbell. They'll come out and take your order. Can't go inside for now. We got the original, yakiniku for our son and the ox tail soup chips for us. Didn't get to taste the first 2 since they were omiyage but man, if they taste anything like the ox tail soup one... heaven! It was amazing how the chips tasted JUST like ox tail soup! The chips were large slices and crispy crunchy. $13 for a 2.6 oz bag. Not overly salty like some other beef chips we've tried. I'm sure there'll be more requests for this next time we visit. And they sell cute masks too and other snacks.

I bought a bunch for stocking stuffers for my fiancé, brother and dogs. They LOVE them! I was able to snag the green dragon, original, yakiniku, garlic parm pork rinds and several bags of the pet treats. I wish I had ordered more! My fiancé already asked me to order more! He and I did the Phoenix one chip challenge. I'm not sure how he was able to endure the whole chip... I just had a bite and immediately had to down egg nog due to the heat! He loves spicy and even he ended up with hiccups and watery eyes but enjoyed it! Customer service was amazing! Chad was kind enough to adjust my shipping charges since they had a restock on additional flavors, right after I had placed my first order. I will def be ordering again and will make sure to drop by on my next trip to Hawaii!

So incredibly happy I found Snack Addicted! We were in HI last Christmas but never came across this gem. Thanks to IG I saw an influencer trying these babies and had to try for myself! I have been in search for a crispy beef jerky. Who wants to chew needlessly when you can have crunchy yumminess? ME!!!! My son and I both LOVE crispy beef chips and could not wait to try these. I ordered 1 bag of the original and 4 bags of the onion/garlic teriyaki (yakinku). I had a feeling the yakiniku would be our jam and I was right. Shipping was quick, within a week to Cali. I didn't love the original, but the yakiniku was absolute fire! We couldn't stop eating them! I think we will need to inquire about a loyalty discount because we already placed a second order after polishing off the first bag! So addicting, hence the name! If you are looking for a bomb ass beef chip you must try! The thin crispy goodness...amazing! Always happy to support small businesses and this one is truly a gem!

Was looking to pickup some tasty and unique gifts for folks and did a search for beef chips. Snack Addicted was one of the top searches so we stopped by their shop next to Ala Moana on Kona street. Drive up the ramp and they are located between the Purve Donut Stop and Koaloha Ukulele shop. Very friendly folks, passionate about their product and sharing some of their new rotating special flavors, we got to try their new years kakimochi special flavor, very unique and cool. Their Original and Cracked Pepper are more keto friendly, while their other Green Dragon, Ox Tail Soup, and Spicy Ginger Teriyaki have added sugar.

Located in the Iolani square up the ramp to the 2nd story. Sort of difficult to find if u are not familiar with this area. You can find keto beef jErky and snacks great for body builders and diabetics. My favorite snacks were the Yakiniku beef jerky and the beef chip pork grinds. Check them out really great customer service. They let u taste everything. Super nice owner. Support ur local buss as much as possible! read more

I have been meaning to leave a review for Snack Addicted for a while now! I saw their beef jerky being tasted and reviewed by a lovely lady on Facebook one time and thought "I need to try that"...many moons later I had bariatric surgery and needed some protein rich foods and my doctor recommended beef jerky, but I have some jaw issues and standard beef jerky is painful. Then I remembered Snack Addicted! I ordered up some Original and some Ox Tail Soup flavors and they showed up at my door pretty quickly. Y'all, I loved it! The jerky is thin so it's more like a chip and the flavors are incredible...like whoa!! Since then, I've tried some of their limited flavors like Lemon Pepper, Taco Bell Mild, and Prime Rib and it's hard to say which is my favorite honestly! I'll definitely be ordering more because it's become one of my favorite meals/snacks. read more

So I read about this place when they were making plate lunches with purve doughnuts and added it to my list of things to try. They were shockingly open on Christmas Eve and giving out a one of a kind beer butter doughnut with purchase. After a long morning at Ala Moana that sounded delicious. I locate them ( Iolani center 2nd floor) and force my husband to come in and look around. He's currently doing the Keto diet and I thought this would be a good place for snacks. He absolutely loved it. First of all the workers are soooo nice. They let him sample every single item so he could make up his mind. Garlic Parmesan pork grinds ....YES .....cracked Pepper beef chips ....YES .....original ....sure why not?? I finally told my husband I think that's good for now lol. Green Dragon Jerky was sold out so now I'm sure we will have to go back for that one. 3 days later everything we bought is gone ( all my husband) and I couldn't be happier! read more

This place is worth more than 5 stars. I wish I could give them 10+. My husband and I love beef jerkey and Snack Addicted takes snacking to a whole different level. They have the tastiest snack ever, and it is addicting. If y'all have not tried them, you have to! It truly is an addicting snack. We bought four flavors and my husband's favorite is the "dill" and mine so far is the "spicy ginger teriyaki." Thank you for making thin beef snacks that are yummy and worth every penny! Can't wait to replenish our supply. At the rate we're going, we may be back by the end of the week. read more

Bought some gift, treats for the office. The best beef chips out there, tasty different kinds of flavors. Got some of the Chex mix and was super. We inquired about purchase of the Phoenix one chip challenge, they were sold out but gave us a sample bag. All I can say it was tasty and hot. Try the one chip challenge see how you stack up! Always loved seeing these guys at comic/kawaii con, so I was super happy to hear they opened a location here! It took me a minute to make it down here, but I'm so glad I did. The staff is super nice, and you can tell they take a lot of pride in their product whether it's working on new flavors or the concept for the mural inside their store. My personal favorite is their green dragon! I can definitely eat a whole bag by myself, but it's better when shared with friends. Don't forget to try out their new mango dream and watermelon upside down ice cake; they're especially good on hot summer days! read more

Amazing!!!! I used to joke about beef chips when I had thinly sliced beef for yakiniku and this place has beef chips. Think beef jerky but thin and crunchy. We tried the cracked pepper, oxtail soup, yakiniku, green dragon, spicy teriyaki, and original and they all were so good! You like Mac and Cheese with bacon bits? Up your game and sprinkle these on top instead. Located on the 2nd floor of the Iolani Center, it's also super chill. Definitely worth a visit read more

What a great find. My family tasted their beef jerky chips at Made in Hawaii event. We ended up buying over 20+ bags of jerky chips in yakiniku and ox tail flavor along with the apple chips as Christmas gifts for family and friends. It was hard not to want to keep them for ourselves. Ha! Ha! They are very friendly and we got to meet the owner. So nice. Lots to taste and sample the many different flavors of beef and fruit. I recommend you go early cuz they sell out quick and the products don't stay on the shelves for long. Love this place. read more

Snack Addicted Beef Chips are amazing! They're delightfully thin sheets of dehydrated beef and seasoned to perfection. My favorite flavors are the Green dragon, Salt n Vinegar, and Loaded baked potato. Follow Snack Addicted on Instagram and you can see their newest flavors and other treats (that's what I do). A MUST try!! You won't regret it. By far the BEST beef chips I've ever had!! I was never a big beef jerky fan until I tried these beef chips. They are light, crispy, and delicious! A perfect snack. I haven't tried a flavor that I don't like, but Steak and Onions and Salt and Vinegar are my favorites. Original and Cracked Pepper are also up there for me. Seriously though you can't go wrong. Also, every employee that I've ever spoken with has been very kind and helpful! They really care about their products and customers. Best Beef Jerky ever! I first came along this place at the comic cons but now they have their own little shop on Kona Street! Their snacks are REALLY ADDICTING!!! Once you open a bag, you have no idea what happened but the bag is empty since you ate it all! There's no such thing as just having one bite. I just bought a few more bags for my dad for Father's Day! Go get some! read more

So happy Snack Addicted has a Store (Front) No need to buy $100 worth of items to get Free delivery although I admit it happens. LOL Now I can try All the different crispy beef chips, freeze dried shave ice, pork rinds, etc. Always coming up with a variety of new item made Fresh here in Hawaii. I have tried many jerky chips from various stores, ppl selling from home and this is by far at the top of my list and "SOME ONO" the variety of flavors and size of packaging, perfect. my 2 favorite are the OXTAIL SOUP, you can taste the ginger, beefy taste, just the right amount of seasoning. My other favorite is the the SPICY GINGER, warning, it is SPICY. These jerky chips are so good I drive special from Ewa to Ala Moana to get my fix. Tried these crispy beef jerky snacks and I'm sold on them ! They are amazing and the flavors that are offered are unique and so tasty-once you open a bag "you can't eat just one"...in fact, good luck trying to stop. Our favorites are the Yakiniku & the Oxtail Soup ! These make great gifts and my friends, neighbors and family love getting them. I usually pickup my order from the shop. There's lots of parking and the people there are really great. Literally the BEST jerky chips I ever ever tasted , my all time fave is the oxtail , just the crunchiness, the flavor and everything was just super amazing. I live in Vegas, they shipped super quick. Some of the best beef jerky you can get! Perfect texture for a snack and the thinness makes it so you can eat 20 pieces without even noticing. Great work/gaming snack and also keto(basically). Best flavors I've had are the Yuzu, Ox Tail, or the Rayu. Definitely give them a shot! read more

Best beef chips EVER! These are so good and I love the Japanese inspired flavors. In my last order I had the Yakiniku, Spicy Ginger, and Garlic Butteryaki, all of which were amazing. Try all the flavors to find your favorite. The pork rinds were also delicious. The ordering and pick up process is also super quick and easy. I am from Florida so I never been to the actual spot in Hawaii. However, the customer service, response time, and delivery speed was phenomenal. Everyone that I was in contact with was really great. Their social media is really fun and their website is really easy to navigate and use. The best part of all are the chips! Also in the back are Chinese cooking ingredients such as sauces and dry goods, but my favorite is the super thick, wide glass noodles that I use for hot pot. There's also a small section with Asian toiletry products that I've personally never tried. I must say it feels like there is less variety of items since they moved locations. Some snacks are repeated in different spots on the shelves to make it look like there's more variety. I've been supporting Snack Addicted for many years, and I haven't thought about writing my review up until this point. The kindness I've been shown by the Snack Addicted ohana, the friendship of one of the workers (won't name drop for privacy), and the overall true local business-ship of this company is something I will never forget. Their beef jerky is the best of the best, and you WON'T find anywhere else with better and crazy flavors. Seriously, their beef jerky is my absolute favorite. I go through an entire bag in a sitting. It's truly the people who make this business special though, as it's ran by a very small team, but their kindness and genuine aloha spirit is so rare these days.
