Açai bowl in Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i…read more.. I happened to be near Windward Mall and saw this food truck across the street from Zippy's, so I parked the car and walked over. There were some customers from the new Planet Fitness... this location is so convenient for them! The service was super friendly, efficient, and helpful! The young gal told me what wasn't available since it was just about closing time and they had run out of a few items. I decided on the #2: Ōhelo Papa Bowl or "Strawberry Bowl" with blueberries, strawberries, banana, granola, raw honey, and açai sorbet. It was very filling, fresh, and beautiful! Thanks for the stamp card! I'll try all of the bowls! Also - thank you for the açai smoothie sample while we waited for our order! Your thoughtfulness is much appreciated!

I love peanut butter on mine so I added that on and it was amazing. My daughter was pretty hyped about her bowl. She got matcha ice cream instead of the acai. Of course we couldn't eat it all so we brought home the rest. The service was relatively quick...we got there before a bunch of customers lined up so we didn't wait that long. The price for $15 a bowl seems about right since a bowl averages around $7 or $8 elsewhere. There aren't any tables to eat at so you just order, grab it and go somewhere to eat. We ate in the car. Lol. The ladies take their time to ensure the order is correct and are very friendly. Love the vibe. They offer a loyalty card (buy 10 and the next one is free)! Lots of parking either on the street right by the truck or park in Windward Malls parking lot. Check them out the next time you're craving a huge bowl and support local.

I love…read morecream pies but they are kind of hard to find on O'ahu, especially banana cream and coconut cream, two of my favorites. I was able to try the banana cream in a mini size at Foodie Con and it was delicious. Good fresh banana flavor and a good balance of whipped cream topping and the base pie layer. My partner got an espresso pie and enjoyed his as well. We sampled several of their pies and they were all excellent. The business owners are very kind and sweet and spent plenty of time talking with each person visiting their booth. I'll be visiting again, as I prefer to get a slice of pie or a mini pie instead of having an entire pie around my house. That's just too much temptation. Plus this way I can do several smaller mini pies and get multiple flavors. That's a win.

We were strolling around, looking at all the tents deciding what to have for dinner and dessert, and as I passed their tent, a friendly voice called out and asked if I would like to sample one of their products. I couldn't resist, and was glad I did. They were mini cream pies. I tried their Jody Call cookies and cream, and it was delicious. The filling was very creamy and not overly sweet of chocolate, and the crust was nice and crumbly and yet moist. I had to get some. They sold their variety 6-pack for $18, and that's what i got. The names of the various desserts are military themed, which I appreciated and thought was cool. The ingredients are claimed to be natural and organic, which I can also appreciate. She went on to say that they even do parties and catering. The 6-pack was well boxed and bagged for me, with all the stickers facing in one direction so that I can read them all (I like the attention to detail there), and I couldn't wait to get home and eat them all. And they were all fantastic. Delicious. I'm a sucker for cream pies, and these hit the mark.

We pulled up and were greeted by the cashier who was friendly and answered lol of our questions. We decided on a combo of Kalua Pig and Laulau along with Poi. First off, turns out that I do not care for Poi! This restaurant cooks it well and it is absolutely not their fault but what a boring food! The Pork was outstanding and the Taro Leaves on the Laulau were outstanding. We also had the Ho'io Salad which was a great addition with outstanding flavor. We finished with the dessert Sweet Lady of Waiahole which was super tasty and not to be missed. There is decent parking and several picnic tables outside. I thought the entire experience was super fun, you just may want to swap your Poi for Rice. :)

I especially love the sweet potato waffle fries, that are now offered on the HH menu. The candied pork belly and fish and chips are two of my new favorites. They also just added a new item, Sweet and sour spare ribs, much like what you'd get at your favorite Chinese restaurant. I ordered it as a take-out, and it was provided in two separate containers; one with the rice and pickled veggies and the other holding the spare ribs with a ton of sauce. There actually was too much sauce, and I suggested that they reduce the amount so it doesn't overwhelm the overall dish. The flavor is really good, and what you'd expect of you crave that sweet, tangy flavor. Another new favorite for my list.

I attempt to then turn around to go backwards out of the 1 way and it was not safe, so I come back through and am waiting behind the truck again. Another man comes out and says, "he's waiting for someone," okay, I respond with a smile, can he pull up so I can leave? Kid relays the message. He goes well "We aren't so leave" motioning with his arm. I guess the bummer part, is I really like this place. The food is good. But I won't help companies who are shit to others.
