Açai bowl in Kaneohe, O'ahu, Hawai'i... I happened to be near Windward Mall and saw this food truck across the street from Zippy's, so I parked the car and walked over. There were some customers from the new Planet Fitness... this location is so convenient for them! The service was super friendly, efficient, and helpful! The young gal told me what wasn't available since it was just about closing time and they had run out of a few items. I decided on the #2: Ōhelo Papa Bowl or "Strawberry Bowl" with blueberries, strawberries, banana, granola, raw honey, and açai sorbet. It was very filling, fresh, and beautiful! It was decided that we'd visit this acai bowl truck in Kaneohe by Windward Mall on Mehana St. People who reviewed the place weren't kidding when they mentioned that one bowl could literally feed two people. I love peanut butter on mine so I added that on and it was amazing. My daughter was pretty hyped about her bowl. She got matcha ice cream instead of the acai. Of course we couldn't eat it all so we brought home the rest. The service was relatively quick...we got there before a bunch of customers lined up so we didn't wait that long. The price for $15 a bowl seems about right since a bowl averages around $7 or $8 elsewhere. There aren't any tables to eat at so you just order, grab it and go somewhere to eat. We ate in the car. Lol. The ladies take their time to ensure the order is correct and are very friendly. Love the vibe. They offer a loyalty card (buy 10 and the next one is free)! I added practically everything and it did not disappoint. Everything was so fresh. So much Aloha here... It's not just in there name but the ladies behind it as well and what an amazing vibe with wonderful act of kindness they have shown as all I wanted was some water. This food truck can be found curbside between Zippy's and Windward Mall and after a hearty brunch I wasn't hungry but after running around with errands and various drop offs I was thirsty and just needed some water. It's obvious what they're about Acai bowls and with a few amazing options including smoothies (which they make it with coconut milk yum!) I was surprised to see that they also offer Kangen Water as well but thought it was sold out turns out to be it isn't quite ready yet instead just offered me a cup of it which was so thoughtful and kind. Their truck is located on street right across Zippy's. The girls working the truck are so sweet and friendly which made the visit even more enjoyable. The bf ordered the Chika smoothie, acai blended with strawberries, banana, blueberries. I ordered their Ohelo Papa bowl/strawberry bowl, acai bowl loaded with strawberries, bananas, blueberries, granola and honey drizzle. So super good! So so fresh! So worth it! They do sell a variety of bowls, smoothies, iced cream and even affogato which i want to try next time. Conveniently located right outside of windward mall, across the road from Zippy's. I've never had an issue finding parking as it's right by the mall. Although Sundays does have farmers market so it gets pretty busy. I've sampled the meli bowl, the U'ilani green goddess smoothie and the Kimi coffee smoothie and they were all scrumptious. They gave me a bonus on my meli bowl via a scoop of fresh, home made cookie dough..waahhhhhhtto. Die. For. Attentive, professional and overall friendly service. They truly embody the aloha spirit. They source local ingredients, and you can feel how much they care about their customers and their experience. I also like that the bowls come with a lid so you can take and eat on the go. There isn't any seating as it's right on the sidewalk so I thought that was smart to offer it that way. Ps. Bowls are big enough to share or hoard all to yourself. PSs. WOW, so many amazing choices of toppings and bowls. I got the nut bowl and they did not skimp on the expensive macadamia nuts. Service was SUPER friendly and I really felt like a valued patron. The energy was vibing and I could tell they were happy to be there. It's a food truck so I missed it the first two times around the block don't be like me. It lacked originality and tasted similar to the açaí ice cream from Costco. I did appreciate that they offered a keiki-sized bowl.
