We got lucky the first time we came (on a Sunday morning), as there was no line. The second time we came there was a wait of about 10 people in front of us!! I'm told that's pretty normal for this shop. While waiting in line the sweet owner handed out samples of the strawberry blueberry smoothie--also amazing and a combination I probably wouldn't have ordered on my own. The flavors were balanced, the bread held everything together perfectly, and it felt like a step above your typical sandwich. I also had what looked like a simple salad, but the vinaigrette and candied pistachios really elevated it and made it feel more thoughtful than expected. The staff across the board were friendly and welcoming, and there's plenty of seating--whether inside the café or out in the open market area. Honestly, the value surprised me the most. Seating is limited so it may be difficult to find seating especially during high traffic meal times. May have better luck finding seating outside. I've been here multiple times for lunch and had multiple different items. The acai bowl are good. I like getting the Nalu salad which is always a decent serving and tastes fresh. The sandwiches are also pretty tasty. My main issue is the service. I'm not sure if part of their training is to ignore the customer as much as possible because that has been my experience on multiple occasions. The most recent visit, I had ordered online and was going to pick up m food for takeout. There were three workers at the front just talking. I walked to the counter and was ignored. I could see where the orders are placed and didn't see anything there so figured my order wasn't ready yet. I stood on the side for at least 5 minutes without any greeting or acknowledgement. Not a single person made eye contact with me. When I saw an order placed on the back counter one of them grabbed it and placed it on the takeout counter without calling out the name and went back to chatting. I had to actively try to get their attention at which point I was looked at like I was bothering them. Asked if my order was ready and was handed it without any further interaction. I don't expect happy go lucky people and conversation but at least basic customer service.

You can also use the SALT lot on Keawe St, or play musical chairs with street parking. The Coral St lot is paid via QR code posted on signs - snap, register, and pay before you bounce. Atmosphere: Compact, but still has that classic Lanikai Juice feel. Seating is scarce, but we scored the seat jackpot with the window-facing bar (perfect for a trio). Drinks, snacks, and merch line the walls, while cup and bowl sizes are clearly displayed at the register - no guesswork needed. Drinks: I went with the Lanikai Splash, while my friend and her boyfriend ordered the... "I-don't-remember" smoothies. Mine hit the spot, and judging by their nods of approval, theirs did too. The texture of the açaí itself was pretty icy and the flavor was strange...like it had an ever so slight after taste of mint or something herbal mixed into it which I did not like. The fruits on top were okay, but seemed less compared to other places. The almond butter was also added in clumps which made it pretty unpleasant to eat - as opposed to other places that coat the inside of the bowl or use a nozzle to evenly distribute the almond butter so it's easier to eat with the other ingredients. Anyway I'd much prefer the açaí bowls at either Honolulu coffee co or sunrise shack which are just a couple blocks away from here.
