I wanted to try this place and I was able to come here during a weekday. It's located along the jewel osco grocery store. There's plenty of parking and I noticed they have a drive thru. I walked in and they greeted me. They have a lot of options on their menu. They serve many different smoothies like Jamba Juice fruit smoothies and protein shakes. It's not like I can get an avocado smoothie with tapioca kind of smoothie place. They serve bottle drinks and bagged snacks too. I was told that people from the near by gyms would come here for recovery smoothies. The staff were very nice I was the only customer in the store but they were busy in the drive thru. They helped me set up my app so I can get $2 off for my next order. I got the peanut butter protein smoothie was sooo good I would get that again. They have a seating area and a lounge area the place is small so not a lot of seating like a Starbucks store would. The place was clean including the bathrooms. Overall I would go back there when I'm on the area. Good customer service and a pretty good smoothie.

Sad, this place is new. I used to go to the one on Ogden and this place is beyond slow even if you place an online order.

Fancy, trendy place to take your special someone or meet up with friends. I had a really good…read moresalmon dish. Our server was friendly and didn't hover too much. Even though it was busy on a Friday night, our table felt secluded and no one rushed us. It's hidden away in one of the enormous malls in the western suburbs of Chicago. Parking can be stressful on a weekend.

Is it a bakery? Is it a restaurant? Is it a coffee bar? Yes. Beatrix is all of them at once, and…read moresomehow none of them feel like an afterthought. We went last Saturday morning and it was standing room only with a line to the coffee bar, then we loved it enough to come back for breakfast the next day. That should tell you most of what you need to know. The lemon burst cookie is the reason to walk in the door and a reason to come back. Delectable, plenty of lemon, plenty of tart, and it goes down dangerously fast. We ordered it twice across two visits and would have gone for a third. The lavender honey latte was very good, just the right amount of lavender, not too sweet. The regular coffee was solid, and they let me do a half-and-half decaf without blinking. Sunday breakfast was straightforward, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, a Virgin Bloody Mary, and all of it was well executed. The menu is ample enough that you could come back several times and not repeat yourself. The decor is modern chic, the seating has a relaxed couch-and-lounge feel, and the music including Rolling Stones, Duran Duran, Van Halen, etc, was the kind of 80s pop-rock playlist that makes a Saturday morning feel like it has a soundtrack. Not too loud, just right. The restrooms were really nice and accessible. The crowd was a genuine mix, families with kids, older couples, and young "elite", the kind of clientele that parks Maseratis and Ferraris out front but doesn't need the prices to match, because they don't. The menu is moderate for Oak Brook, which is a pleasant surprise. Wait staff were excellent, friendly, accommodating, attentive. This works for a casual coffee run, a family breakfast, or a special occasion with reservations. If Beatrix were a TV character, it would be Lorelai Gilmore, fast, charming, effortlessly good at three things at once, we get it Lorelai, you're over caffeinated. 4.4 Stars The honest gripe: we felt a little rushed. Breakfast came and went in forty minutes, the waitress was ready to move us on in 30 minutes, but we pumped the brakes and asked for our second lemon burst cookie of the weekend, and it would've been nice to get the signal that we could linger. My sense is they're popular enough that turning tables is the priority, and I get it, Lorelai has a business to run, but it's the one thing that kept a great morning from being a perfect one. What would push it to five stars: let us sit with our coffee a little longer. We came back two days in a row, we clearly want to be here. Just let us stay.

TL,DR * slow service…read more* overpriced * one worker was running the place by themselves * good taste at least Long version: I went into this place with high hopes based on their reviews. My food took over 30 minutes to be made. The food was good but it was $12 for a tiny bowl that fell apart when I opened it, way over priced for the amount received. I had to use the lid as a second bowl. Management should just order larger bowls. $1 upcharge for substitution of almonds instead of coconut. The poor worker was there all by herself with a line to the door. If they're understaffed the manager/owner should be helping but there was no manager on duty, which is why I'm writing this. They know they are understaffed. It's not fair to the worker to deal with poor management.

When we first started coming here, the base was blended so smooth, the granola was always fresh and tasty, and the ratio to acai blend vs toppings was great! My husband and I grabbed 2 bowls last night and these 2 were the worst ones we've had. I probably won't be back for a while. The consistency of the açaí bowl wasn't smooth. A little grainy and potentially too much ice mixed it. It barely had flavor. The granola was almost stale. It tasted like it was sitting out for a very long time uncovered. The ratio of smoothie to topping ratio was also terrible. It was like they filled the sides with acai mix, filled the center up with granola, it was very unpleasant. This was the first time my husband and I actually threw our bowls out, it was that bad. I do hope they get to how they used to. With the increased prices, they need to maintain quality, and quality has been severely lacking. I try to support my local businesses because I know it's not easy being forced to raise prices given this economy, but if you cut on quality you won't retain my business. Truly hoping this place changes!

SO FRESH. SO CLEAN. SO.... disappointing…read more PROS: - Amazing menu. Packed with veggies: salads, bowls, wraps, smoothies, juices, burritos, yogurt, and breakfast options. - Great options: vegan, soy, gluten-free, peanut-free, etc. - A healthy food-court alternatives to greasy pizza and burgers. - Reasonably-priced for what it is. - Gorgeous-looking counter. CONS: - The girl taking my order looked s o . b o r e d . - The Superbiotic Green Wrap I ordered kind of sucked. It was swimming (ugh) in cucumber dill dressing and the collard greens were soggy/chewy -- not crunchy and easy to eat. I ended up dumping the contents of the wrap out in a bowl and spooning it out instead. It was fine, but I wouldn't order it again. - My Lifesupport juice gave me the healthy boost I needed, but the banana taste was much stronger than I expected. I desperately wanted to love this place, especially after my friend raved about it and took me here, but I wasn't really impressed. She ordered the Pangoa bowl (without chicken) and it was good. I probably would have a better experience if I ordered something other than my wrap. I'm willing to come back to try the Bliss Bowl, but otherwise, no need to go out of my way to eat here.

You have to buy them bottled. It was busy when I was there so I did not want to wait in another line at a different restaurant. The service was pretty slow. We were hoping for faster food which is why were eating in a food court. I ordered the Bangkok burrito with tofu. The spicy peanut sauce had a little spice and no flavor. The rice was cheap tasting. It reminded me of uncle ben's except worse. I kept eating it hoping it would get better and it did not so I ended up tossing most of it. Considering how gross the food was and how slow they were I wanted to give them one star but I do like how they are a healthier option in the food court so I bumped it up to two. I will not be returning though.
