Visited many times, but had a really poor experience here this evening. Normally order the same thing every time I visit. I typically get one of the combos and swap out one of the items for another with an upcharge for more money. I'm totally fine with it, however they ring it up. This evening when I asked for it, the server (blonde lady who was training a new hire), told me no and shook her head. When I let her know kindly that I have done this many times and noted that they just upcharge which I'm cool with, she shook her head no and said "they've never let me do that when I try." There was no "I'll check" or even a we may have to ring it up separate, etc. she literally was telling me no and willing to do nothing about it. So I ordered a smaller, one main dish and moved on because she wouldn't let me order more food however they wanted to bill/upcharge it. We were a party of 7. I totally understand not making changes for the same price, but I'm simply trying to order the food I want and willing to pay for it however they wanted to charge it. I've done this 10-15x there before. The waitress cost the business money this evening. She could have rung them up separate, whatever. She literally just told me no. read more

If you are known for your ribs, they better be darn fantastic. Well they weren't.... They came out cold and did not fall off the bone. The brisket was fatty and also Luke warm. The corn bread was the best part of the meal. read more

It's my favorite BBQ place in LeRoy NY area, I moved to Le Roy to Creekside Apartments in December 30,2013 from Rochester and and a few days later on January 2,2014 me,my wife and my in-laws visited the Smokin Eagle ,it was my in-laws who introduced us to the establishment,the decor was very decent,the waitress who served us were very friendly and accommodating,I ordered smoked Buffalo wings along with macaroni cheese,cornbread and macaroni salad OMG everything was delicious I was full in no time and I took my leftovers home thinking to myself I am glad that I stayed two minutes away and I have been loyal customer since then I have discovered the sister restaurant to it the 58 Main Street place in Brockport and I love that restaurant as well!! read more

Stopped by here for some beverages with a friend and got some mozzarella sticks. The mozzarella sticks were crunchy and perfect with the marinara dip. The service was efficient and friendly. The drinks were great and the ambiance was comfortable and casual. They have darts to play (some people nearby us we're playing darts (and they have a pull out pool table) I didn't notice it but my friend pointed out it can slide out from underneath from nearby where the darts are located. It was more like sliced beef, grilled, dry and tasteless. Pretending to call it brisket is a huge insult. The pulled pork was average. Disappointing for me and my family. I came out to the bar one of the first times after having my child, smokin eagle was such a wonderful place with amazing food and great drinks! The bar staff especially Karl was phenomenal, he was so personable and chatty and that helped to make it a great experience. The server Dominique was so kind and helpful in ordering my food. According to my Map App, the place is 20.3 miles from my home. Not to bad, but further than I usually travel. I won a gift certificate at a fundraiser for the Rochester Breast Cancer Coalition, so decided to give it a try. SO GLAD WE DID! It was wonderful. We are BBQ snobs (second only to our snobbery around beers) mostly because of family connections in Oklahoma. We were beyond thrilled with the quality and quantity of the food. Very nice selection of craft beers on tap, got us off to a great start, but then the food sealed the deal. We started with the chicken wings, the House Sweet & Sour- wonderful. Crispy, crunchy, but inside wonderfully moist and chewy. Some of the best ever! Then we ordered: The Oink & Moo- a wonder mix of Ribs, Pulled Pork and Brisket. All wonder taste and perfectly prepared. Our sides were Mac & Cheese and the Baked Beans, both, also some of the best. The space was comfy and the staff very helpful providing great service. So I want to say me and my group were very excited to try this place for the first time. Unfortunately, we were greeted with some of the worst service. We sat down at the bar for drinks and food. We told the working bartender "Brent" that one of us had a nut allergy before ordering. We were given a response of "ok and? what do you want me to do about that". We should have left right then and there after that comment. However, we gave him and the restaurant the benefit of the doubt. We ordered potato skins as an appetizer and all of us ordered our food. We waited about 30 minutes and were given our main dish. We asked about the appetizer, and Brent goes "I rang it in first I don't know". As another sever/ food runner goes "I'll go find it , It's cold now " We began to eat our food ribs & pulled pork freezing cold ... colder then our mac salad , Mac salad was super good , Caesar salad came with black olives and onions never in my life have I've ever had a Caesar salad like that . Every meal came with apples & cornbread they forgot one of the apples . Very nice outdoor patio with friendly waitstaff and good food! Our food came out quickly and was hot and fresh - for dinner, I ordered the Eagle Plate with a cheeseburger and pulled pork, Mac salad and homefries. I thought it was very tasty except I did find it a tad greasy. My husband ordered the Jack Daniel's burger and was kind of disappointed as he said the burger came on the bun with no condiments, just a dry burger with lettuce, tomato and an onion ring on top; the side of beans however was pretty good. 3/30/24. We have gone to the Smokin Eagle before and the food has been good but tonight not much was good. There were 3 of us. Two of us got the Brisket Sandwich and the other got the pulled pork sandwich. The Brisket came out and was mostly FAT! I personally like some fat on mine but this was extreme. I wouldn't have served it. Two us spent extra $2 each to get onion rings that were not as good as they looked. The sweet potato fries that also cost extra were over cooked, and the other person at the table the pulled pork was good but when he asked what the vegetable was was told waxed beans but when served it was mixed vegetables. It wasn't a good experience and when we first arrived it was so loud we couldn't hear anything and almost left. Now we wish we had. Not sure what happened but we won't be back soon and it's too bad we used to enjoy it. read more

We went back this past weekend and I am happy to update my review to 5 stars. We went there for dinner on Saturday evening and they were busy but well staffed. We did have a reservation and they were able to seat us right away. Their menu has a good variety, the prices are very reasonable, and they have a good variety of beers on tap. We decided to go with the "Q For Two" which featured 1/2 rack of ribs, 1/2 chicken & 1/2 lb of beef brisket, 1/2 lb pulled pork, double cornbread, double baked apples, and two sides. It was more like the Q for Four as we easily brought half of it home. Everything was delicious and the service was great. I definitely recommend. read more

Pretty good eats! I got the brisket sandwich with Cajun corn, garlic mashed potatoes. It also came with a bonus lil apple filling the side. The food was good, brisket was a little fatty that was the only thing I noticed. And at lunch time it seems that a lot of ppl like to sit in the bar. The bartender managed well, but she was running all over serving the tables in the area too. The other waitress must have had less tables and started to lend a hand. It's a cool spot. Came here from Niagara Falls, NY to visit the Jell-O Museum. Stumbled upon Smokin' Eagle BBQ & Brew. The hours posted on the door were a bit confusing, stated they were open until 2, online stated differently. We were defiantly glad they were open for service. The food was really good and our waitress was friendly and on top of things. We ordered the sweet and sour smoked-char wings and those were so good. Went for dinner and I ordered a hot sandwich and it wasn't even warm in the middle, my fiancé ordered the "Oink and Moo" which came with pulled pork, ribs, and brisket. The brisket looked like bbq beef on weck, the ribs, he ate one and they were super tough that he couldn't even cut the meat off the bone with a knife, and the pulled pork was watery. Went based on a recommendation. We love good BBQ. This was mediocre at best. I order the 1/2 chicken 1/2 ribs. Comes with 2 sides, apples and cornbread. The ribs fell off the bone but had an old taste. The chicken definitely tasted old. No way it was fresh. Our waitress offered a different entree so I chose pulled pork. Though my hubby liked it, I thought it did not taste fresh. Super disappointed with the meat but the bbq sauce was good and their sides are delicious. Our server was great. I would not return. I've never been let down by the food or the service. Right now service is a little slow as they're short staffed (who isn't) but they try their best. Quesadilla's and smoked chicken wings are the best. The size of the BBQ platters for what you pay cannot be beat. The Mac and cheese is always a crowd pleaser. read more

Our second visit for lunch on a Saturday. The bar is busy but we were the only ones in the dining room, not sure why because the food is great. I absolutely loved the ribs (and I am a fussy foodie). They are moist and fall off the bone. My husband had a Philly Cheesesteak which he said was very good. That's saying a lot as we are from the Philly area. The last time we ate out on the patio which is nicer as the dining room is a bit dark. Service is friendly and can be a bit slow but this is not a fast food place. So order a beer, and relax. Stopped in for some Que on July 4th. BBQ Nachos were okay .... yhe pulled pork was great on them and made us glad we ordered Bbq. The St Louis ribs weren't their best work. Flavor was really good, but just plain chewy and too tough to pull apart. CANNOT do bad ribs at a BBQ place .... and in the 4th. They apologized, returned/comped them immediately, and we scored with their smoked wings. We did pay for wings. GET THE SMOKED WINGS! Absolutely an experience that saved our meal.
