This was our first trip to the 3LP this year and it was nice to see that things haven't changed. We were greeted warmly when we entered, found a table and had our drinks and menus in a matter of minutes. We both had the half chicken with two sides. My wife had the Mac and Cheese and Sweet Potato Fries both delicious and I had the BBQ Beans and Tots. The only issue I had was it was 94 today, the bean probably didn't need to be steaming hot. A pleasant surprise, when the waitress brought our food she said that the chickens were smaller than their usual and offered to discount our meals or add two wings to each order. We loved the atmosphere and the mains for this BBQ place. I was especially impressed with the grilled chicken salad. That's a menu item that could easily be treated as a throw away menu item but mine was served with a HOT off the grill fresh chicken breast that was juicy and packed with flavor. There are a large variety of beverages, alcoholic and non-alcoholic alike. The regular (yellow) Mac and Cheese was almost exactly like KFC's which isn't really a high compliment. Next time, if it's still available, I'll try the white cheddar mac and cheese instead. The mac salad had so much onion that it was kind of a dominant flavor. I've been here a few times before, and today proved that I will not return. The food was served lukewarm. The macaroni and cheese was like a frozen stouffers meal, the salt potatoes lacked salt, the meat was dry. The flavor was ok. We were most turned off by the lack of customer service. When my family of 6 showed up for a take out order, we were not greeted for 5 min, and then we're told we couldn't place an order for 20 min because they were backed up. It did take a full 20 min before they would ring us up, and then another to get our food. Definitely would consider going elsewhere when near the lake. read more

This place was a wonderful find. Not a huge place, there is some seating inside and also has a nice patio seating area. The walls are decorated with signs. Some of them are pretty funny. The server was very friendly and took good care of us. I got the Cuban with a side of potato salad. It was awesome. Huge amounts of perfectly smoked pork. I was surprised how much pork was in the sandwich. Yum yum yum, I need another one. My friends ribs were fall off the bone delicious. The chicken was amazing too. I'll be back for sure. We've gotten BBQ from here twice in the last couple months and it has been delicious!! The BBQ flavor in their meats really comes through in a balanced way, not too sweet or too salty, and not at all greasy, and the great sides they offer are a perfect compliment. Portions are also generous, and both times we weren't able to finish what we had ordered. So far, our experiences have been for take out. One time we just showed up on a whim and ordered at the counter, the other time we ordered in advance online. Either way, the process is easy and quick. They always say the food will take 30 min but in both cases it was done within 20. For our first order, we got brisket, ribs and chicken, with jalapeno corn bread, mac and cheese, green beans and salt potatoes. The brisket was SCRUMPTIOUS. Could eat that all day. Perfect texture and chew, great flavor, really good. All the sides are a good portion size too, all are seasoned well, and everything 'works'. I will say the jalapeno corn bread was the stand out though - slightly sweet with the kick and slight earthy smell from the peppers - loved it. For our second order we got ribs, chicken and smoked sausage, with mac and cheese, coleslaw, salt potatoes and chili. Everything was cooked perfectly and we had enough for left overs for another meal. They also gave us a couple containers of their BBQ sauce which was also good. I'm not a super fan of wet sauce/wet rubs (I prefer dry rubs) but this sauce is a little sweet and tangy and I felt it went well with the chicken. I will note that prices may seem a little high for BBQ, but we feel it's worth it because the portion sizes are hearty and everything tastes so good. Interior space, though we haven't eaten in, is also super cute, sort of retro with all kinds of pig and BBQ memorabilia and funny signs, and in the summer it seems like it would be a really fun place to hang out. Man they make good bbq! The ribs have a nice smoky flavor without being overwhelming and aren't overdone. The pulled pork and pulled chicken are so moist! The cornbread muffins are delicious and the bbq beans are some of the best we've had. The breaded corn nuggets were why we came and they don't disappoint! This place is horrible. First of all, they are never open at the hours they say they are. The food is outrageously overpriced for what you get. We paid $20 for one order of 2 dried up tiny pieces of brisket and a tiny stale, wet dinner roll. Green beans were soaking wet and not edible. Lady was super rude on the phone when I called to order. We had an amazing dinner here while renting a house nearby during our vacation in late September. I had a half slab of ribs which was really more like a 3/4 slab with garlic green beans and mac and cheese as my sides. The ribs were so good! Tender and flavorful, with a nice crisp exterior. The assortment of sauces on the table were all delicious and it was great to be able to try them all rather than just pick one. The green beans were fresh, not frozen, and they weren't kidding about garlic! Lots of fresh garlic which was perfect for me as I love garlic. The mac and cheese was creamy and delicious and...since there was so much garlic with the beans, I mixed some into the mac and cheese to give it a little extra kick. Funny decor. Fantastic food. The BBQ platter, fried pickles, were delicious. My husband and son were not a fan of the wings and chicken sandwich. The restaurant is small and seating was limited. We visited on a Saturday afternoon at about 2:30. We thought that would be a good time for a late lunch/early dinner. There was one table left that we snagged. More and more customers were arriving that had to wait. Great to be busy!! Good for the restaurant. I do find their model a little clunky. As first time visitors, we didn't know what to do. Do we seat ourselves? Do we go to the counter to order? Several people behind the counter but no acknowledgement. Made us think people are regulars and know the drill. Have to give them 5-stars. Best little BBQ joint we've ever found in our travels. Great prices, big menu, amazing sides. They are right across the street from Vitale Park, which is a beautiful park on the north side of Conesus lake. Recently had these guys for a catered event. Very friendly and prompt. The foods: Brisket - was very succulent and juicy. Needed some sauce, and their "house" sauce was amazing. Ribs - fell right off the bone and had a great flavor. Chicken - these were bland and terrible with no taste to them. Their "tangy" sauce helped a little. White Mac & Cheese - amazing taste, very creamy. Potatoes - these were cooked perfectly, but were very bland. Some butter and salt would've brought perfection to these. Excellent BBQ. My wife and I stopped in on our way home from Rochester. I'm a fanatic about good BBQ and this didn't disappoint. The restaurant is pretty small with very limited parking. They do offer outdoor seating. We were greeted and seated immediately. We had our drink order taken as soon as we sat and opted for the sweet fried corn nuggets for an appetizer. These were very good. For our dinners, I had the Carolina pulled chicken sandwich and my wife had the Buffalo chicken sandwich. Both dinners arrived quickly and cooked to perfection. Wines from local wineries and a really yummy cider from cidery next door (Great Lakes grape). My fav was the pig wings. I got them dry rub and extra crispy so I could dip in the different bbq sauces and see what I liked best. They have tangy, sweet, spicy and regular bbqs - my favs were sweet and reg. We got the brisket plate (comes w 2 sides) and 1/4 rack of ribs. It was only one slice of brisket but a pretty decent size. Brisket was dryer than I'm used to but bf likes it that way. Ribs had a lot of sauce and some fatty pieces. Sides - lots of reviews were hating on Mac and cheese. There were 2 types. We got the white cheddar and it wasn't bad. Tater tots were fine. Potato salad okay. Corn bread good but not the best I've had (I like it when it has corn kernels in it). 7 parking spaces up front and 5 in the back. ~10 tables inside and ~6 picnic benches on patio along w a little kid picnic table. One of the worst experiences I have had. I have eaten here often but not in the last 30-45 days. A group of us stopped in and order from the menu. I picked up the tab, low and behold there was a fee added to my bill for using my credit card. I asked for the menu at that point to see if missed some small print. NOPE I asked the waitress about the CC charge. She said the sign is posted on the doors. So I looked at the sign it is 2.5 inch by 3 inch above the handle of the door. I asked again about the up charge she then said ..we discount for cash. Interesting there is no information about that on the menu. NY state says they can discount for cash but this is nothing more than an owner not knowing how to run a business. They can cover there fees on CC. Not customer friendly. Number 1 rule in business.. Make it convenient, easy to shop, eat and pay. It was a 4% up change, and at worst case his merchant fees are 3.25% / transaction and again this would be the highest amount. I have been there in running and consulting business with expenses and profit margins including merchant accounts. I frankly will never be back! He should shop for better rates, and his POS provider is getting a cut on the rates since he is using a priority POS system where the Merchant contract is part of the package. Not a smart businessman. The point is.. and do not tell me it was posted... 99.7% of the people do not look at what is on the door.. it should have been my choice if i wish to eat and pay the fee or go someplace else. This is a resort area. Conesus lake, Lakeville. Not after I receive the bill. And by definition this is nothing more than a upcharge from a business that does not know how to calculate his margins based on his expenses. The people that will suffer will be his employees because the tips will decrease. BEST advertising is word of mouth and I have contacted over 100 people in the area, not to put up with this type of practice. I prefer mine dryer and kind of crumbly, this reminded me of pot roast, but it wasn't my meal and he loved it. He got salt potatoes for his side and ordered an additional side of cheddar mac n cheese. He easily had enough leftovers to make another meal. I'm a big fan of non-traditional garbage plates so I ordered the Gas Station Plate. It's a choice of 2 meats and 2 sides. I went with cheeseburger and pulled chicken, mac salad and tator tots. It comes smothered in chili, which didn't end up appealing to my personal taste for this dish. Once I scraped the chili off and dipped each bite in some sweet bbq, it was perfect. Pulled chicken was a great texture but lacked flavor. It was fine with my added bbq though. Dr Pepper and Coke products is a plus, seems like we can only find Pepsi products everywhere we go anymore.
