I had the brisket sandwich and it was packed with tender, juicy brisket with a nice smoke ring topped with pickled onions.

Came in for a quick lunch and this place delivers! Located in what appeared to be an historic home,…read morethe menu has something for everyone. We ordered the smoked mac n cheese with brisket, a brisket taco, and the brisket sandwich with chips. The brisket was tender and delicious, the smoked mac was perfectly cooked -- the cavatappi pasta was al dente and the sauce was creamy without being too thick. The brisket sandwich was super tasty and filling. They sure did not skimp on the brisket! Loved the chopped apples in the coleslaw. A different take on it that made it refreshing. The brisket taco was OK -- good, but not amazing. I think it would have been better had it been in a corn tortilla rather than flour, and have the shredded cheese that was on it, melt. A condiments area would also be nice -- put out some of your housemade BBQ sauce, hot sauce, etc for those that like things hot and/or saucy. Service was friendly and efficient. Atmosphere: casual. Place order at the counter and they bring your food to you. Ample free street parking.

Driving up to the place. The parking lot was packed, always a good sign the food would be good…read more After viewing the extensive menu, I settled on the Pete's trio which consisted of 2 pork ribs, smoked sausage (they offer a vary of different sausages, I got the cheese and jalapeño), 1/4 lb of brisket, pickles and one side (recommend the camp beans or the parm potatoes). You order and pay, they hand you a buzzer. When the buzzer goes off you go to the kitchen window to pick up your food. The bar has just about everything you could ask for, including local wines and brews. I just went with a soft drink, my only complaint was they served Pepsi products which I am not particularly fond of, but at least they had Dew. You have to find your own table indoor and outdoor seating. But getting back to the food. Simply put, some of the best sausage and ribs I've ever had. The brisket was very tasty, but a bit more fatty than I'd like to see. Also, I did not see burnt ends on the menu, which is it my go to. The place is clean and the staff are quick to clean tables as soon as customers leave. Overall a very good experience with high quality food. Prices are reasonable to other BBQ places in the area. I definitely plan to go back next time in the area!

Food was good (not the best I have had in New York) Cons. I absolutely hated that I waited in line just to order for 30 mins. Then I found a table just to wait at least another 45 for my food. I have never waited this long for BBQ. You serve your self to get your drink and bbq sauce since they don't add any sauce or put any out on the table like most bbq places. This day they only had one sauce out. The honey mustard. Both the original and the hot bbq sauce were empty. I told the bartender and still nothing. This was a big disappointment to me. This place is a one and done for me. I don't feel I need to go back.

Could be all the wine in me talking (though I don't think so from the way everyone was chowing down), but this was some Grade A BBQ! Pulled pork was laced with sauce - sweet, sticky, not the least bit dry... the spare ribs were so tender, Smokey and flavorful and honestly not a whole lot of fat... and the brisket, well it melted in your mouth. Honestly - just way too good! Drinks. Food. Service. Company - 10 for 10!

Let me get to the details: Service: staffs were not attentive, friendly, nor helpful. The restaurant was busy when we came so we decided to seat outside. However, their outdoor tables were wobbly. Also, there were no bugs control devices nor heating lamps to accommodate us. When we asked to move inside, their response was we have to talk to the host and the hostess told us it is not possible because they were "too busy".... Yet we would see an empty table where they rather seat 2 people that come after us instead of us. On top of all that, our sever never came to refill our water. For service, this place is a zero star for me. Food: we ordered their famous heavy plate. The food size was loaded for the price, everything tastes fine but nothing was exceptional. Giving them some stars for the decent food. Atmosphere: inside has lots of booth style seatings and bar seatings. They can accomplish large parties. Outdoor seating is not great as their tables were cheap and they're seating on a slope. There were no heat lamps or bug controls so I don't recommend eating outside in the evening here. Overall: honestly, we felt ignored at this restaurant. I wouldn't come back here since they're not very accommodating or nice. Highly recommend management to train their staffs better.

10 words: 'this place is only in business because of the view.' No, but seriously, my experience…read morehere was horrid from the moment we walked in. We came in with a group of 9 and asked to be seated. The hostess just looked at us with a blank stare, then finally said she was going to set up the tables. She came right back and said, "I have two tables next to each other, but I can't combine them." After some pushback, they agreed to push two tables together -- but made us do it. We then mentioned that we were here for a bachelorette and that's why we were sitting there, and the hostess was like, "Oh! You should have said something when you asked us to push the tables together." Like um, no. You should be welcoming no matter what. From there we ordered and multiple orders were wrong. They brought out quesadilla that were DOUSED with pepper on top. (Who does that?!) And they brought two "cheese" quesadillas out that actually had chicken. They also forgot to bring out onion rings that someone ordered and the server pretended she didn't forget them and that they were coming out right away. Like sure, if "right away" is in 20 minutes. It took 10 minutes to get pop refills. We waited over 15 minutes to receive napkins. They put the cutlery right on the table (without napkins or placemats under). They messed up almost every single receipt. I got charged for for the quesadilla they were supposed to take off AND a beer I didn't order. However, at that point we had been there over 2 hours. The table behind us also had an issue and sent back their food because it was disgusting. The woman asked to speak the manager, only to be told that the manager was the cook and therefore was unable to come out. Comical. Legitimately comical. Moral of the story: if you choose to come here, do it for the view -- and prepare to grow some grey hairs in the process.

Wow what an experience!!! Visiting from Miami and Arizona!…read moreI came with my family (group of 9) We waited for about 40 minutes, and it was very much worth it. Starting with the friendly and attentive service from the staff. Even the security guard outside welcomed us to Rochester and made his recommendations! Amanda took care of our table and she made our experience much more memorable. The raspberry lemon drop **ELITE** I had three! And the food, we all devoured every bite. The amount of food was perfect, the sides were all so tasty, I couldn't pick my favorite! The ribs I was so happy from beginning to end. It was the best way to end the night, even the kids couldn't stop raving about the delicious food! Thank you so much team! I would 10000% come back if I'm in Rochester!

It was def a BBQ joint, but I wasoasing the dinosaur but. Anywhos, service was fantastic. I was seated quickly (party of 1 usually do) and my waitress was amazing. Once I figured out my choices, I went with the 3 course meal. Jerk wings to start, 1/4 chicken (I went with thigh and deum instead of breast and wing), beef brisket, side of Cajun corn, roasted whipped sweet potatoes, organe cream soda, and key lime pie for the dessert. First off, wings were delish and a great way to start. Then the entrees was a good portion. I was hesitant to try Cajun corn again since the last place I tried it was very unfulfilling. But here it was delish. Sweet potato were solid. Chicken was not dry at all, and brisket was tender and smokey. Soda was not too heavy, and the key lime pie was so so good (but honestly I should have gotten it to go as it was too much food). Overall, this place was wonderful. If I ever come back to Rochester I will be coming here again.

We drove 4.5 hours, hiked along the gorge for 2.5 miles, on an orange, apple and banana-we devoured most of it. Kate got the slow smoked half chicken with baked beans and cornbread. 10/10 on the chicken. At first the beans seemed to katchupy, but as time went on they mellowed out. The cornbread was moist, cinnamon butter was great accompaniment and Nixon got us more. I got the 3 BBBs brisket, bacon and blue cheese. Grilled brioche bun, with brisket hanging out all over.
