    Burnt End n Baked Beans

Had to go back when I was back in Springfield, and found that Nachos was one of their specialties. NO WAY, love BBQ Nachos and they do them just the way I like but only better. These nachos start with smoked pork, then melted cheddar cheese, a messy amount of pit beans (cannot have BBQ nachos without baked beans), your choice of bbq sauce, slaw, onions and jalapeños. Holy cow, these will put you down for the count (so much food) and so stinking good! And I just got the 1/2 order lol.

Went to Smokin' Bobs at 5:15pm on a Saturday, knowing they'd likely be out of a lot. They were, except they had hot links and burnt ends. I got a burnt ends sandwich with potato salad and beans, and my husband and I split the hot link. The hot link was very mediocre but it was also the end of the day, so no big deal. The burnt ends were delicious! The potato salad had something different about it than I expected but it was great. I couldn't put my finger on it but it was yummy. The beans had some heat too, which was fun. The sides were pretty big too; I definitely didn't need both sides.

Smokin' Bob's BBQ -- The East Side's Hidden Smokehouse Gem To call Smokin' Bob's a "hole in the wall" doesn't do it justice -- it's more like a polished pitmaster's hideout. The second you walk in, the aroma of smoked meat hits you like a bear hug, and the crew behind the counter greets you with that kind of enthusiasm you usually only see at Chipotle or Moe's. Friendly, fast, and clearly proud of what they're serving. The menu is loaded with temptation -- brisket, pork, ribs, sausage, you name it. The hardest part is deciding what to order while your stomach is growling from the smell of smoked perfection. I landed on the P.B.S. sandwich (pork, brisket, and sausage) with cheesy corn and coleslaw on the side -- and let me tell you, I have zero regrets. The sandwich came stacked high with layers of pulled pork, brisket, and a perfectly cooked hot link. That sausage? Unreal. Split in half, juicy inside, with that perfect "pop" when you bite in -- more like a Southern boudin than your typical hot link. Every bite delivered smoky, savory, melt-in-your-mouth bliss. Each table has two house-made sauces -- regular and spicy -- and both are legit good. The spicy has just enough kick to keep things interesting without taking away from the meat. I'm already planning my return trip to chase down those burnt ends and pork belly everyone's been raving about. If you're on Springfield's east side and craving real-deal BBQ with personality, Smokin' Bob's should be your next stop!

Good Barbecue! I had the meat sampler plate. You can choose your own meats. I had mine with ribs, pepper jack sausage and pork belly burnt ends. They also have brisket and brisket burnt ends. The coleslaw was forgettable but the barbecue was on point. I would definitely come back.

Smokin' Bobs was really impressive bbq. Definitely a popular lunch spot for a reason - there was quite a line but was still reasonable wait for food. The space has plenty of seats but is a little smaller. Tried: ribs, beans, sausage, pork belly, Mac & cheese Loved: the ribs and pork belly were standouts for us! The food overall was amazing. Liked: the only thing I didn't enjoy much was the smoked Mac and cheese - there wasn't much of a cheese flavor

My daughter and I were in the area visiting and read several positive reviews so we decided to give…read moreit a try. When we first pulled up the place looked like it might have been closed, but it wasn't. We were just there at an unpopular time of day. It was around 2:45pm so after lunch and too early for dinner, but we were hungry. When we walked in, we were promptly greeted by a very kind and informative gentleman. We told him we had never been there before and he informed us that because it's a bbq place, they sell out very early. It was also St Patrick's Day and he told us even those specials were all sold out. He proceeded to tell us what they had left and made recommendations for us based on what was available. We ended up ordering the smoked turkey, burnt ends, potato salad and the bbq beans. The sauces we tried were a mustard based bbq sauce and their traditional house bbq sauce. We took a seat at a table while we waited for our food. It's a seat yourself dining room. Our only complaint about the dining room was the lighting and temperature. It was too dark inside and the temperature was too cold, but it was also very cold outside. Our food was brought out pretty quickly and everything was worth the wait! The turkey was so moist and tender and the burnt ends were charred just right. The potato salad and beans were both large enough to share. The potato salad had an unusual flavor because it was made with pickles which we love so it was different but incredibly delicious at the same time. I was so glad we ordered it. The beans were just okay for me, but my daughter really liked them. Personally, I don't get too excited about beans when there's better options to try. I'd rather put those carbs and calories to better use. LOL The sauces were both good but the mustard one had a very strong mustard flavor so if mustard isn't your thing you're not going to like it. The house sauce is just the right mix or sweet and smoky. As I'm writing this review, I'm craving the potato salad so much and the turkey too. If I'm ever back in the area, I'm definitely stopping there again. Nice staff, great food, and good portions what more to ask for.

Fuel was $3.11 per gallon here, and just four miles down the road it jumps to $3.49 per gallon. That alone makes this place worth pulling into. At this interchange, Buc-ee's paid for roundabouts on both sides, which is highly efficient. It's a brilliant idea and enables smooth traffic flow everywhere. This Buc-ee's has been here for about three years according to Brisket Bill, and it already feels like a staple stop. I stood there watching them chop fresh brisket and almost went with the Big Buckin' Brisket Sandwich XXL... but it was just two buckin' much for me. This is a nine dollar sandwich and worth every penny! It is outstanding! I did hear employees mumbling something about brisket on something. Maybe they were just bored and wanted to chop brisket. Maybe that's what they were saying. Since they already have a brisket Bill here in Springfield, Missouri, maybe I can be Brisket Bill in Huber Heights, Ohio! what's a 90 minute commute anyways?
