It's a beautiful sunny day in the mid 70s, smack dab in the middle of Missouri, and we made a stop at Buc-ee's off I-44 between Rolla and Springfield. Fuel was $3.11 per gallon here, and just four miles down the road it jumps to $3.49 per gallon. That alone makes this place worth pulling into. At this interchange, Buc-ee's paid for roundabouts on both sides, which is highly efficient. It's a brilliant idea and enables smooth traffic flow everywhere. This Buc-ee's has been here for about three years according to Brisket Bill, and it already feels like a staple stop. I stood there watching them chop fresh brisket and almost went with the Big Buckin' Brisket Sandwich XXL... but it was just two buckin' much for me. This is a nine dollar sandwich and worth every penny! It is outstanding! I did hear employees mumbling something about brisket on something. Maybe they were just bored and wanted to chop brisket. I was staying in St. Louis and my friend mentioned there is a Buc-ee's in Springfield which was the area I was headed to, to pick up my new puppy. This is my first time going to a Buc-ee's and I heard nothing, but great things about it and the one thing everyone had told me if I will spend a lot of money here and, boy, they were not lying lol. I arrive and I park at a gas pump since, I needed gas and the gas is super cheap reg $2.11 a gal I walk into the store and it's huge and extremely full of people. My time was limited as my puppy needed to eat and I had a 3 hr drive back to St. Louis. I grab a cart and start hitting the plushie section, then the other merch section and got a huge umbrella. I then hustle to the snack section and get some beaver nuggets and pork rinds. I the get to the glazed nut section where they are hot and fresh. The big back in me then went to the hot food section because I was told to try the brisket sandwich. I grab a regular size sandwich not realizing as I am walking away they have the XXL bbq brisket sandwich and I get that one instead. I get a fountain drink and I like they have their own brand. I mixed cream coconut soda with pineapple soda yummy! I get some magnets and I stop at the smoked meats section and get a couple different beef jerky's and I forgot to get a couple summer sausage, but I'll be back! I got to the register to pay, the older lady that rang me up wasn't all that friendly as though she hated her job, not hello or thank you said. All the other cashiers were cheery, friendly and welcoming. I wasn't going to let that negative Nancy cashier steal my joy whatsoever. I also paid for my gas, bring from California our gas is high so I assumed $25 would fill it up since I was at a quarter tank of gas. Buc-ee's definitely got my money that's for sure. I filled my tank up at $18 my mind was blown literally. I'm use to paying well over $4 a gal lol. I will definitely be back when I have much more time to look around. I've been a fan of Buc-ee's for years but the new design is making me love it more. This location must have 100 pumps. No matter what, the sales floor is immaculate, the bathrooms are sparkling clean, and the staff always has a smile. Thanks for all three. 5* for a convenient store gas pump? Words cannot express Buc-ees... as a matter of fact trying to describe it in words will never do it justice. It is the Costco of gas stations. It literally has everything you need and can think of. And I love that they're literally is a Buc-ees brand. There is no finer sight around than a Buc-cee's ahead! Their billboards are hysterical and give hope to the wayward travelers. Buc-cee is a place I will re-route to be able to fit into my travels. I have been very lucky to be at them in Florida, Georgia, Tennessee, Kentucky, and Missouri. I am 100% obsessed with this furry little beaver! The bathrooms are impeccable, and the staff are some of the friendliest around. This spot even has 120 fuel pumps! Trust me -- don't let the crowds keep you away. There's something inside Buc-ee's for everyone. Every trip includes warm candied nuts, homemade potato chips, baked goods, and more. I love the Buc-ee's Yeti-style cups and travel coffee mugs! Seasonal T-Shirts are also a must. Most of my other trips include the beach, so the Missouri Buc-ee's doesn't have quite as much beach and summer gear as the locations closer to the coast. Roadtrip!!!! We were driving from Illinois to Dallas and scheduled a gas fill-up and food at Buc-ee's in Oklahoma! First and foremost, the interstate was pretty clear and then we excited for Buc-ee's and so did everyone else. I was like, where did these cars come from? They have quite a few gas pumps. Like a ton. And when you walk in, it's like a mall. Bathrooms are clean! They had all kinds of hot food. I decided to get a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit. It was pretty good. The biscuit was flaky but crumbly so it is hard to eat while driving. We got some snacks as well. We didn't get any souvenirs but we got food, water and snacks. The place is split (clothing, souvenirs, etc on one side and food on the other side. Cash registers were pretty quick. Finding an open pump was not too bad. Parking was full but we found one further from the building but it was still a quick walk. Walking into Buc-ee's for the first time was absolutely overwhelming!!! It is like the Disneyland of shopping There are housewares, unique kids "stuff," clothing, candy area, bakery, deli, hot food counter, jersey station, tortilla press, plethora pecans, beverages of any type, branded items section, the biggest bathroom I have ever visited, & lastly, the gas station seemed to stretch forever. We bought some fun items, a brisket bbq sandwich, & salad. Didn't see any seating, plus there was lots of snow so we ate in the car while the heater kept us warm. They offer fixings too: good bbq sauce, jalapeños, pickles..... There are baked goods too! Homemade jerky, pantry staples.... Had some time to kill and was hungry so grabbed a BBQ Turkey Sandwich for the first time. It was around 4pm on Thursday and this place was popping! They had plenty of sandwiches to choose from and this sounded good. Overall, the taste was great! However, it must have been sitting out for a little bit, as it was not overly hot any longer. I guess I can die happy now that I've finally experienced buc-ees. I was already impressed with this place based on the fact that my hermit husband spent hours here once with my children, leaving with hundreds of dollars in merchandise and tons of food to come home. My pastor also has raved about Buc-ee's using it as an example of how correct businesses run. I have asked tons of friends to describe Bucky's to me and they really have never helped me get the idea across of what it is. Some have explained it has Walmart meets a gas station except with clean bathrooms others have said that it's like a giant indoor shopping mall. I don't know if I'm gonna do it much justice to be honest, but I'll certainly try. The shopping is part Disneyland with Bucky taking the place of Mickey Mouse. They have buc-ee everything Buc-ee swimsuits, small stuffed Bucees huge stuffed Buc-ee's, Buc-ee mugs, Buc-ee everything Buc-ee. Then there is an upscale shopping experience with fancy cookware, almost rivaling a Williams Sonoma or an upscale boutique with fancy home decor, and cooking utensils. You would find at a Chi Chi LaRue shop in Napa. The whole place plays fun and upbeat, country music and smells like a combination of barbecue and fudge. Then there's a huge food area with jerky and fudge and barbecue and regular grocery items. Then there is the bathroom..... walking in there are pictures on the wall walls paintings that are for sale. Each stall has its own room with its own door and its own light ensuring total privacy. Instead of having to do the whole, let me check to make sure there's feet under the door to see if it's open routine. There's either a green light or a red light showing you which stalls are available which stalls are occupied. Each bathroom room has Florida ceiling tile that gives it an upscale feel. What's not to love about a business built around a Beaver mascot? The bathrooms are always an excellent place to stop because they're a ton of them and they're always super clean! If you haven't tried their BBQ brisket sandwich then you're missing out it's definitely a must in any roadtrip that passes near a Buc-ees. When I first heard of Buc-ee's back in 2021, I gave it a try in Georgia. Pretty cool. Then I heard about their rules against truckers. Strike 1. But, still a pretty unique tourist attraction. My husband went to a Buc-ee's near Houston and had a similar opinion. Friday, we stopped in on our way to Tx. I was shocked to find there were ZERO windshield washing areas. AND, ZERO garbage cans in the parking area. Only near the E-Vehichle charging stations. Drivers like to see out their windows and toss out some trash... Sunday, we stopped in the Melissa, TX location early morning and I was surprised that they are an egg, cheese and meat bowl. Having a Wheat Allergy this was great. We got back to the Springfield location and I had inquire if I can have a meat bowl. The only option was Brisket. Which I did end up getting, even though I preferred pork. I asked if there was anyway they could make something without the bread due to allergies. Nope. So, aside from Jerky or Brisket, anyone with potential gluten issues or wheat issues are out of luck if they want anything other than pre-packaged food or fruit/veggies. The gal working at the sandwich counter was very rude about it. Told me that I could order a pound of meat for about $30... um this was dinner on the road, IN the car since there is no place to sit and eat on a cold December day. I asked if they offered 1/2lb of 1/4lb options. She walked away. I did end up getting the container of brisket because my husband insisted that I needed to eat more than potato chips as we still had 5 hours to get to our destination last night. Like everyone else, I was so excited when they opened a store in Missouri. There's so much to see and so many food options and they will give you samples of the brisket and other barbecue items to help you decide. The sandwiches are always made fresh and hot and I love how they yell "brisket on the board!" My only complaint is that I was looking for a cute women's baseball cap but the Buccee's hats are all kind of masculine trucker hats. I wish there were more options. My favorite purchase is a Stanley style Buccee's branded 32 oz. tumbler. There are a lot of home decor and clothing options, which is kind of funny for a gas station, but pretty cool. If there's one thing I would tell you to be sure to get, it's the beaver nuggets. Yum! The one thing I would tell you to avoid is the chicken salad on croissant in the cold case. The croissant does not hold up to the chicken salad in the bottom was completely soggy and gross. I had one of the worst customer service experiences I've ever had at this Buc-ee's in Springfield. I walked in to buy a high-end $400 flashlight. The only one they had was the display model, and the employee told me they could sell it to me but I should check to make sure it works since it's a display. I bought it, walked straight out to my vehicle, plugged it in, and immediately got a battery error. It wouldn't charge at all. I turned right back around and walked back inside--literally within minutes--explained the situation, and asked for a refund or exchange. The employee understood the issue but said only a manager could override it. That's when Mark, the manager, came over. Instead of actually helping, he repeated the same line: "You walked out with it, so we can't do anything." No actual troubleshooting, no flexibility, no willingness to stand behind a product they sold me off the shelf--a defective display item, no less. I even offered a solution that would've cost the store nothing: refund the difference and let me purchase the $300 version they DID have in stock. Mark still refused, hiding behind "policy" instead of using any common sense or manager-level judgment. For a store known for customer service, this was unbelievable. I wasn't trying to return something after using it--I couldn't even get it to charge 30 seconds after buying it. If this is the level of problem-solving and customer support the manager provides, I'd strongly recommend checking your items before leaving or just shopping somewhere else. This was my first visit to Buc-ee's; we don't have them yet in Nebraska but they seem to be heading North. This one in Springfield is not far. It was everything I hoped it would be. Well-stocked, clean, with helpful staff. I bought some Buc-ee's things like Dill Pickle Reaper hot sauce and yeah, it's hot. Love the selection of items there; but it is funny that I purchased several Buc-ee's items that are probably quite similar to things I have seen at other places, but somehow they just seem more special when they have this beaver's face on them. read more

This location has plenty of parking in a large parking area off to the side of the building with a side entrance. This side entrance has two sets of cashier counters as well where the clothing and gifts are located. I bought several gifts for family members back home including T-shirts, Buc-ee's socks, magnets and a lunch box with their logo. I slept here for a few hours. I woke up in the wee hours of the early morning to continue my trip. Inside the store was pretty deserted at that hour and the only hot food available was barbecue sandwiches.
