We were on vacation, staying at a cabin in the area situation on a dirt road. Between the dirt road and the long drive here from Milwaukee, our car was in rough shape. We have a monthly unlimited membership at a Mister Car Wash location in Milwaukee and so were delighted to find a location here. Love the unlimited membership, which makes getting the car washed even while on a road trip a breeze. We have a sticker/barcode on the corner of our windshield that identifies us as unlimited members. We simply drive up, it's automatically scanned, and the gate opens. This location is great. Not only were we able to get in and out quickly, they took the extra effort to give a little pre-wash as well. Aside from the pre-wash (done by the attendant), the automatic wash was great, with all parts of the functioning properly. Best of all? It got our car sparkling clean! Get to it! read more

I went to get my car interior cleaned and selected their $36 package, as recommended by the employee. Needed and expected my car to be vacuumed thoroughly, (or at least look like it) but upon entering my car I noticed crumbs were still visible. It looked like they only vacuumed my floor rugs. When I got home and looked at my car, I noticed two scrapes on the passenger side of my car that were not there before. I don't know what happened because I was in the lobby while they were taking care of my car, but I'm not happy. I truly do not think that I received $34.00 worth for my car wash today. I live 1 1/2 hours away, so when I get to Springfield, I look forward to a great carwash for my car. I am disappointed. The young people cleaning and drying my car were so involved in talking to each other, that my car was just OK. I had somewhere to be or else I would have turned my car around and went back. This used to be an original Automagic location. They do a decent job not perfect but decent. It is for folks like me who are too lazy to vacuum the interior when you wash the car. Several years ago someone broke the side window to break into my truck. These folks have washed and cleaned the interior at least 6 times since then. I am still picking out chunks of glass from the carpet. I had to do some winded work on the interior glass to get the streaks they left behind. The exterior wash is good so back to overall decent not great hence 3 stars. I get a little tired of their up sales some of which I have tried in the past and found them to be blah. I actually was surprised that after I paid for the premium wash and got through the car wash, I opened the door to go wait while they dried off my car, one of the male employees said, "is there a problem Sir?" I said, "no but dont you all dry the car anymore" he responded that not they didn't and then I watched them drying other cars around me, so this will be the last time I ever go get my car washed at Mr. Car Wash. At that price point if they can't even dry the car off its a was of my time and money to bring my car there for a wash. I actually think they guy wasn't telling the truth since they were drying other cars, but not mine. I miss the old car wash that they replaced, better service and they actually treated you right and made you feel like a valued customer. I used to bring my truck to Springfield to a real car wash that used to be here in this same place. I have traveled all over the country and had my truck washed and this particular place did the best wash ever. It was shiny inside and out, the vacuum service was unsurpassed by no one. I have left twenty dollar tips for the folks that cleaned my truck. The service I received today was like a bunch of third graders cleaned it. I think they forgot what their primary objective was. Great team helped me out a lot! My car is a bout to hit the 300,000 mark and that can tell you alone that it's about to give up, but it's still my point A to point B vehicle. I'll pull up to the car wash after a 2 hour drive from home to Springfield and one of the workers noted that my tail light was just hanging by the wires all 4 of them gave me advice on where to go get it fixed and they fixed me up with some tape so It would stay in place till I get it fixed."" Plus my car smells so good and my car is sparkly clean. I was very surprised that they clean the car for you while you just sit in the lounge and watch your car get clean! I've had an Unlimited Wash Club subscription for 5-1/2 YEARS. But NOW they no longer dry my windshield off .....leaving rivers of ugly white water spots .....that I have to clean off myself. AND they are not reducing the price of that monthly subscription for the REDUCED service! When asked about this problem, they reply that I need to pay an additional $10 EACH wash! They "claim" they have improved their "drying equipment" but they obviously NEVER "use their own service" or they would know it misses the mark! They "Used to" be great! I have their monthly membership and I typically take it to the ones with the free vacuums. However, the other day (5-10-2022) I went to this one and they did not vacuum my car out at all - after paying for the upgraded wash to include the vacuuming. My floorboards were not shaken out. All of my items from the backseat were thrown into my son's car seat base. They did not do anything to my car at all. I left the same way I came. Let me recap how my experience was...just now getting around to it It was 7 hours before my wedding. I wanted to have my car quickly washed as my bride and I were planning on leaving for our honey moon in it. Upon arriving, I asked how long it would take to have the INSIDE of my car washed. I even have the receipt proving that I NEVER told them to go through the car wash with my vehicle. But lo and behold, they drove my car through the car wash. Just took my mom's Acadia there for oil change and a car wash. The attendants were professional and very optimistic about their work and service. Clearly they wanted to value and serve the customer. I love this place because they got the stink out of my floormats (I spilled a mocha in December, and left it frozen in the floormats till after the ice storm. In February, the mocha thawed out and made a nasty stink in the car. They fixed it! PLUS I accidentally dropped my wedding ring on the inside of the car while I was driving (and putting lotion on my dry hands -- I recommend stopping before doing this, but anyway...) Slow to respond customer service. Issues with the exterior lane kept me 'trapped' in the lane while a) the lane didn't move and b) at least half-a-dozen cars/trucks moved ahead. Finally called to tell 'someone' to look outside and cone rescue us. Manually running my card through the full serve kiosk was the very quick answer. Gee, the 'service' personnel should have thought of that sooner. Wash was what I was looking for, for $10. Even included a little wipe-down at the end. I went to the Mr. Car Wash on Cambell earlier today and got the Platinum package. I guess I expected so much more from the top package but was pretty disappointed. They did a nice job on the exterior but the interior lacked so much. After I got in my vehicle, I noticed that the back floor mat that had melted icecream on it, STILL had melted icecream on it. They could have done a much better job on the vacuuming as well. Even though the price I paid was more than reasonable than the previous owners had charged, I now understand why I paid only a third of the price today. Mechanics answer was to slam it shut, terrible chain, trained to RIP you off and little experience. The cleaning was okay, but what bothers me was the large hunting knife taken from the side work box of my truck. I've kept that knife there for over 5 years. I had a new black custom handle put on it. It's a huge Bowie knife that any kid would love, and I suppose the temptation was just too great. Absolutely horrible expirence. I have used them for all maintenance on my car. After this last expirence I will never use them again. I also plan on telling everyone I know how awful they are. They told me a service would be one price and then when I went to pay it was $50 more than expected. When I asked why they had no explanation and offered no apology. Absolutely awful. I pay $34 monthly for the unlimited exterior wash plan. I have three vehicles on an unlimited wash plan. Today I took my truck through the car wash in Springfield Missouri for an exterior wash and paid an additional $8 to clean the interior. When they delivered my truck after washing, the floor mats were still mud covered. I was then told that a new corporate policy excluded cleaning floor mats with an interior cleaning; they are an additional $4 or so. That's just a bad corporate policy decision from a PR perspective; it's insulting to pay for an interior cleaning and still have muddy floor mats. I will cancel the unlimited plans on all three vehicles if I ever have to pay extra to have my mats cleaned when I am already paying for an interior cleaning. Overall, the wash was only mediocre at best. read more

The customer service was great and the staff was very courteous, though my car was less than clean. I spent $34.00 to not have my car cleaned properly, my seats still had dog hair all over them and none of the nooks or small spaces were cleaned. This is definitely not express for an inspection. One star is for a "thorough inspection" that indicated by sight the need for a new serpentine belt. However the wiper blades were not "torn" as noted and the cost for replacement of both services and parts was exorbitant. I took care of these two items on my own and when I returned for a re-inspection of the two items (wiper blades had been replaced a few months earlier) it took just as long, 50 minutes. 4 guys standing around, no manager, one person ahead of me (who left minutes after my car was pulled in) and one behind me who was brought in after me in the other bay and serviced before me. Finally the one who reinspected didn't do anything. He'd walk around, shooting the breeze with co workers and when he was told I needed to leave shortly he finally got the inspection sticker on after "testing the car horn" 4 times. They were not busy and didn't have enough to do! He handed me the paper and said nothing except giving a "yeah" to my question "is my key in the car?". He didn't offer me a pen to sign for my inspection. Sorry, but laziness and lack of courteousness has definitely sent me away from any business for this location. Perhaps they are more interested in customers who will pay for their expensive services? They give them a free car was once they pay. By the way my vehicle did pass inspection and I paid for it. I'm staying with my regular garage that is farther away and simply does the work, efficiently and reasonably. read more

I do not recommend this place for an oil change. I have been a long time client of the Mister Car Wash which they are amazing and figured that their Express Lube would be just the same. I was wrong. My husband took my vehicle over to get an oil change. I have had my vehicle for over 3 years and have records of all oil changes and have never paid more than $65.00 for an 8 quart synthetic oil change which also included free tire rotation at other companies. Said same oil change cost me $107.56 at Oil Change Express. I take part blame since my husband does not normally do this and did not realize that this cost was way more than what has ever been paid, however i do not recommend this place if your vehicle takes Synthetic oil around 8 quarts this place is a complete waste of your time.
