Boneless Chicken Breast kabobs (sub extra rice instead of salad)

Based on some other Yelp reviews, I decided to check K Kabob House out when I was in the area last and craving some kabobs. To avoid waiting around inside the restaurant, I opted to place an order online via their website. I thought it would be more convenient, but the lengthy process that required me to register and create an account in order to place a simple one-off order was a bit excessive. (Offer a guest checkout if someone is simply placing an order to-go; you don't need my home address if you're not delivering!) After finalizing my online order at last, it quoted me a pickup time in 12 minutes. Not too bad for made-to-order food. In my order, I added instructions for each of the two entrees: no chickpeas and double rice for one; no chickpeas and no salad - just rice - for the second. It was only until I returned home to find the second entree had double salad--a clear misinterpretation of the request. A minor inconvenience, but for those with food allergies I caution the staff to read instructions a bit more carefully for safety sake. Pickup was fast and easy. Friendly guy at the counter greeted me and handed me my food that had just been prepared and bagged. It remained fresh and warm for the car ride home, so I didn't need to reheat. Bonus! I had the boneless chicken breast kabobs and my husband had the combo of chicken and lamb. Both were very flavorful, juicy, fresh. A slightly smaller portion of chickpeas than I'm used to, but I blame it on the compartment in the plastto-go container. Nice large crusty pieces of naan, but I wish there was more than one sauce included with each entree. It was delicious, but their sauce is a little thin/watery compared to some others so it was entirely gone by the 4th or 5th bite. I had half my naan but no sauce left! So ask for a third ramekin if you like it in every bite like I do! All in all, I'd definitely return here. Solid Afghan-style kabob place that probably doesn't get as much foot traffic as it should due to its corporate office park location across from the more prominent Chantilly shopping center.

A great authentic restaurant nearby the Air & Space museum. Took my dad out to the museum and we stopped in after. Like one of the other reviewers, I also served in Afghanistan and likewise I fell in love with their food dishes as well. I am especially fond of their spicy yogurt sauces. This restaurants sauce, did not disappoint. With its sweet flavor followed by a kick of spice I like it a lot. We ordered, lamb, beef and chicken kabobs. Food is made to order and each dish came out cooked to perfection. Packed full of flavor, the meat tasted great. We also ordered hummus and enjoyed that as well as the baklava which was amazing tasting. Seriously I'll probably come back just for that tasty dessert because I'm still thinking about days after. We ended up eating in and taking the rest to go because it's a lot of food. During that time I got to speak to the family and share about my time overseas as well as listen to their stories. The cook even came out to ask how our food was. Overall the service was great and I'd visit again the next time in over in chantilly.

Good stuff. Had K Kabob House bookmarked for awhile and finally got a chance to try it out. Placed an order online, which was simple and straightforward. The employee was friendly and our takeout order was neatly wrapped. Their kabobs are flavorful and overall we enjoyed our meal. I wouldn't say this is our ultimate favorite place to pick up kabobs but I'm still glad we visited. If you're in the area, this is a nice option to have.

I served in Afghanistan and fell in love with the food. Simple and delicious is the only way to describe the lamb kebab. The lamb was tender, charred to perfection, and full of flavor. The chickpeas are the best I've ever had (many places just lack any real flavor... these don't). The long rice was really good and, as always, paired great with the lamb. The bread was great and the sauce carried a good spicy aftertaste to it. The owners were very friendly. Be patient and dine in is my recommendation... it's the only way to eat something that should be enjoyed fresh. Really really good experience here, I'll miss it as I fly home tomorrow.

I truly wanted to like the food from this restaurant especially after reading many rave reviews from others. I ordered for the first time at this restaurant through DoorDash and had high hopes that were quickly dashed. We ordered the chicken breast kabobs which were completely dry and flavorless. The spinach was just OK, but nothing great. The hummus was over the top overloaded with garlic, the Afghan soup was a strange soup made with ramen noodles, and the Afghan salad was overpowered with onions. Will NOT be ordering from here again and it's a shame.

I wish the location was in Centreville or a main strip mall, this place deserves better reviews and food traffic. It's off of route 28 across from hooters and the other eateries, next to tropical smoothie! It's a small quaint space and like I said, it deserves more foot traffic. The gentlemen is so very polite and I believe he is the only running it from what I can tell, he'd take the order and then go to the back and start cooking everything. The quality and flavor of the meat and chickpeas are delish! It's different at every kabob house or places that serve shwarma/kubbideh, I like the chickpeas more at Kabob express because the spice it kicks. BUTT, the chickpeas here tasted so creamy or smooth, I don't know how to explain it but please get an extra side of this. It tasted very subtle, not salty at all, just a little sweet.

First time experience- not impressed. The overall aesthetic/ vibe is dirty, lackluster, and lazy. This place has 40 reviews with a 4 star average, so I'm hoping that my experience was atypical. There was only 1 customer while I was placing my order. I tried the chicken kabob, and it was flavorless. I think Kabob Express in Centreville is significantly better and worth the drive, if you're craving kabobs.

Their food was AMAZING! My hubby and I were coming from the gun show and decided to try a new spot & it was my pick this time!! I love kabobs and wanted a real meal (not fast food) and not something that would take over an hr to be served. It was just that! Food was really good. I ordered the variety of kabobs to share with a friend and the owner was very kind to offer an extra plate with some extra rice. The food was delicious and everything was cooked perfectly. My favorite was the lamb, but it usually is when restaurants offer it. K Kabob is AWESOME! I got the trifecta, the Super Dish, Shami + Chicken + Lamb Kabobs All three were incredible. The kabobs and the chickpeas were some of the best if not the best I have ever had. First time here. The food tasted okay, it would have been a 3 Star had it not been for the fact that for $10.50 they gave me only 4 small pieces of chicken! The pieces of chicken were literally the size of a quarter. The rest of the plate was a huge pile of white rice and a little mini salad and a mini cup of chickpeas. I feel if I'm coming to a kabob restaurant I'm coming to buy kabob meat with a (side) of rice, not a huge plate of rice with barley any meat. Not to mention as I'm eating my rice I found a small blue string of what looked like a piece of dishwashing sponge. Unfortunately I don't think I'll be coming here again because I believe I can get my money's worth of a kabob plate at another place. read more

OMG I'm in love! Just ordered the combo kabob. The spice is lovely. The chicken is juicy. The shami is nice and tender. While I was waiting the friendly folks at the register gave me a complimentary serving of their yummy (spicy) chicken noodle soup. This is a regular spot for me now! read more

I'm not giving this place more than two stars bc while the food might be good, the chef/owner/guy who answers the phone has the worst attitude ever. Having a bad day or two and being rude is excusable but he is rude every time I have placed an order, the soup guy from Seinfeld is nicer. This place is not worth being treated bad. Perhaps, the business will read this review and consider having someone else answer the phone/take orders. read more

My family and I stopped by here on a whim. Boy am I glad we did! I ordered the chicken kabob meal, which came with a salad, rice, chickpeas, and naan. We were also given some complimentary soup, which was very tasty. Great portions for the price, and everything was really good. My wife was very happy with the lamb kabobs she ordered. There's not much in terms of decor, but who cares when the food is great?? We'll be back! read more

I don't eat much kabob honestly. This place is pretty excellent. You'll wait a minute for your food because they prepare it fresh, but you'll be glad you came. I always get an extra order of chickpeas to go, they're the best. I've had other K Kabobs, but this one really stands out. Staff is very friendly as well. read more

The food is great, kabobs go great with beer and that's what we decided to bring around the corner to Ono Brewery with us on our visit. The food didn't take long and the staff were quite pleasant. They held conversation while we waited for food, and all around good service! The take out option is great for this area! read more

Delicious kabob, some of the best I've had in Northern VA. The staff were very friendly and welcoming, and offered me complimentary soup while I waited for my order (which was also very tasty). The kabob was just right, cooked well but still tender. The naan was different than I am used to, but not in a bad way! It was very good. The rice was amazing, very savory and complimented the kabob well. Even the green sauce was way better than expected, it had a spicy tang to it that was unexpected and very pleasant. I look forward to returning and trying more stuff on the menu! read more

I ordered through yelp at 1pm on a Tuesday. Estimated pick up time was 1:29. Then it was 1:39. I arrived at 1:43 and they said they threw it in the trash and had to re-make it. They gave me my order at 1:50 and the palao kabob with lamb was supposed to come with their home made bread. I didn't realize they didn't provide the bread until I got back to the office. Very disappointing. Gyro platter included strange thinly sliced cuts of non descript grayish brown protein, Aphgan spam? Lamb chunks were dry, probably grilled earlier in the day. Gristle laden. Bread and sauces were ok. Steamtable rice and chickpeas. What's with the paper straws and carbonated beverages. To bad, maybe to late in the day. read more

Just had a gyro sandwich for lunch, first time here. It was delicious made in fresh naan however they actually use pre-made gyro slices and lack an actual gyro skewer machine...this makes a huge difference in quality. I will try other items and return here but not gyro. read more

Excellent!! I ordered the Combo Kabob (#10) and everything was outstanding! The chicken and beef were both tender and flavorful. I mixed in the rice, chickpeas, and pita with the meat and again, excellent! Pricing is fair and comparable to what you expect for the large portions you are served. While waiting, I was offered complimentary soup, and I have to say I would take a bucket of it home if I could it was that good. The staff and I believe it was the owner, were all very friendly. Overall, excellent restaurant in the Chantilly area off 28/Willard that just opened recently. I'm certainly hoping this place stays because I will definitely be coming back. read more

Noticed a new kabob place across Chantilly Expo Centre and decided to give it a try. They make very good kabob dishes, including chicken tandoori and chapli kabob. The ambience, well, is spartan which led me to give them a four star. For food quality, they deserve four and a half. Not very many kabob houses in the immediate area, hence I recommend the place enthusiastically. read more

I saw this place had opened recently and decided to try lunch. I have been back two more times since. Each time I have been there, it has been a bit more crowded as people are finding out about this place. All three times I have not been disappointed. I have tried the chicken kabob and the shami. Both were very good. The bread is a bit thicker than I am use to, but still was good. Each order comes with rice, bread, chickpeas and salad. The portions are generous and are enough for 2 meals for me. Price is reasonable. My gold standard for Kabobs in NoVa is Moby Dick's, but this place is just about as good. The only improvement I would recommend is that they should have kabob salads as an alternative to the kabob platter on their menu. read more

You go to the counter, order, pay, and they bring the food to your table. Ambiance: nice, new, and clean. Pretty generic. You could sub in any cuisine. I thought the prices were on par with any other kabob places, only most other places serve their meals with naan. Not here, but the portion sizes are big enough to fill you up. Overall, I'm happy I came and tried it out.

Go during a quiet time if you have a large group. I imagine it gets crowded there.

The beef noodles were over cooked and needed salt or something. The lamb kebabs were chewy and the chicken kebabs were way too spicy. The wait time for the food took 30 minutes and while I am pretty patient - it was not worth the wait. The servers were non- existent and I had to constantly ask for napkins, water, take away boxes. The only time I saw them Was when I called them to order and then called to pay. They should not work in the service industry as a smile goes along way but clearly they hate customers. There was just no attempt to be nice at all and they were not very accommodating with questions. Let me not even get started on the bathroom. It was dirty and there was no loo paper. Give this place a skip. It's just not worth the time and the money you will spend there.

After placing our order and sitting down, the server loudly yelled from behind the counter for us to come get our water. It felt uncomfortable and unprofessional, especially with a young child. When I placed my order, I asked for extra white sauce, and I asked again when the food came out. Both times, the request was ignored. I also mentioned that we hadn't received our drinks, but instead of addressing it, the server again yelled for us to get the drinks ourselves from the cooler. The food itself was okay, but the bread was very poor--hard and barely edible. I even called the restaurant later in the evening to share my concerns, but was told the server was off at that time. Overall, very disappointing experience, mainly due to the customer service. I hope this feedback is taken seriously and leads to improvement.

I have been here more than 3 times and each time the food is amazing. Fresh and real food. I am myself a chief and have worked in other Kabab places, namely in New York. I had the Kobeedah Kabab, the lamb and the chicken. The lamb kabab was the best, juicy and nice chunks. The chickpeas is very fresh and delicious, and the break if of course fresh out of oven. In this age of fast food/ frozen food, it's not easy to find real,fresh food at a reasonable price. Their price is very reasonable. My only suggestion is if they could include Beef Tika or Barg kabab in their menu, that would be awesome. Thanks for the delicious food. read more
