Came in quickly while my newborn was asleep with my partner. There was one car ahead of me and about 45min until they closed shop for the day (1pm on Saturday) and they kindly jumped right on it to do my smog. I had a digital notice for my dmv registration renewal but they used my basic paper to get the right info to send my results. I was in and out in less than 30 min. Only waited a short bit, joked with the mechanic, he walked me through the cert, results, how dmv has the info and used ApplePay Bing Bang Boom. I waisted my time and money here only to be yelled at by a man who refused to listen to anything I said. First- He wouldn't tell me if I passed or failed till after i paid (I would pay for the service either way). Then- He claimed my catalytic converter was fake and after market, proceeded to lecture me about how they work, how I should have known better, how he would have done it differently. He claimed there was no number imprinted on them. I understand protecting your license. I tried explaining I bought it at a certified shop, had the paperwork for it on me, and have seen the numbers myself. He then started yelling at me telling me to "get on the ground and get dirty and find them" and even if I did find them he "wouldn't believe me." I had t pay $40 for a retest. I looked myself when I got home and the numbers on them match my paperwork. I took it to a better shop, he showed me photos and said they were plenty clear and matched the paperwork. I don't know if he was just trying tog et me to pay for the retest or what, but the way he spoke to me was unacceptable and he was factually wrong about my vehicle, which then failing my record made the next shop's rating be dinged for doing the right and honest thing. read more

I took my 2005 Honda Accord for a smog check and Henry was very helpful from start to finish. My car failed to pass the first time so he explained to me in detail why it failed and what I needed to pass the test. I never knew I had to drive my car in a certain way to recalibrate all the sensors so I learned something new thanks to Henry. He could've kept re-testing my car without any explanation just to keep charging me test fees, but Henry was very honest and told me exactly what I needed to do to pass the test.
