Dr.Phyu is an AMAZING dentist. She is personable, truly cares about her patients, and is also realistic and helps set expectations for dental procedures. I greatly appreciate her realness. The office works like a well oiled machine. You can see techs running around tending to clients and the communication between them and the dentists is very clear and concise. It makes me feel like they are competent and know what they're doing. The office is always clean, and it has personality with how the office staff decorate it. Makes it feel less sterile. TTS provides reasonable pricing for procedures that aren't covered by insurance. They also offer a large array of dental services which is really convenient. I love TTS!

However, after being assured multiple times that my insurance would be accepted, I found out on the day of my procedure that the doctor was out-of-network and that I was paying a much higher amount out-of-pocket than I would have at an in-network practice. When I called, Andrea at the front desk acknowledged that the doctor was out of network, but maintained that I was paying the same amount as I would have at an in-network practice, which simply was not true. I did not appreciate that Andrea, who I spoke with every time I called, knew that it would be an out-of-network procedure and did not disclose this despite my asking if my insurance would be accepted multiple times - even if the cost would have been the same, I asked a question, and did not receive a truthful answer. If she did not know, she should have told me so and checked before assuring me that my insurance was accepted for the procedure I had scheduled. For that reason alone I would not recommend Tigard Triangle Smiles.

I have never had financial issues with them, yes we always end up having to pay a lot but not because of Wolfe Dental or the staff but because most dental insurance does a bad job of covering you which is not abnormal at all. I have went here since Dr. Wolfe first started years and years ago across the street and do not think they rip you off, if anything they go above and beyond trying to help you when your insurance denies stuff. They always work with us to inquire and ensure it was correctly billed and paid if you are concerned.

I went upstairs for my first appointment and had two fillings with no problems. The one filling that was done downstairs required 20 adjustments and it still hurts me every single day. It has hurt me for over a year. When I asked them if they would fix the clearly improper filling. They told me they could do up to 100 adjustments to the filling before actually fixing it and that they would need me to come in over and over and over for fixes. I came in twice a week for several weeks for adjustments. They're just taking advantage of poor people. Shame on all of them, especially Dr Jasmine. When I tried to get my records to change to a new dentist office, it took four months and several requests. I'll probably sue.

Woke up early yesterday with something hard and sharp in my mouth only to find that half of the crown had broken off of one of my back molars. Now I don't know about you, but Hump Day or not, this is still a pretty crummy way to start your morning, especially when you are as dentist-phobic as I am. Fortunately for me, I knew exactly who to call. One quick dial, and I was able to speak with a live person by 6 am to set an appointment, and by 9:00 am that same morning, I was there, bum in chair, getting all numbed up and ready to be worked on. Now is dental work fun? No way! Of course not. I'm not some masochist, for crying out loud. But was this tolerable? Absolutely. And when I got cold and started to shiver from the newly damp Portland fall weather, they immediately brought me a warm blanket to wrap up in. And I was not only allowed, but readily encouraged to rock out to some of my Apple Music on my Air Pods while they worked away. And just before noon rolled around, I walked out of the office with my brand new permanent crown cemented in place and lopsided grin in tow, ready to conquer the world! :) So thank you, Dr Barzangy, Hannah and Matt for another fantastic visit! We truly have to stop meeting like this. And please don't take this personally, but I plan to send out a poll in the near future requesting any pro tips on how to lower the stress level in my life.
