During my first visit, the hygienist cleaned my teeth and applied prophy paste without first inquiring for my consent or explaining what was being used. I told the front desk that i do not consent to fluoride or fluoride-containing products. This experience left me feeling uncomfortable & disrespected. The hygienist also was below par service. She did not fasten the xray shield properly endangering my life. i had to hold it up to cover my organs for protection from the radiation. She's got to be the worst trained hygienist experience yet.i will definitely not return & i do not recommend this business. read more

I am a veteran and was given a referral to seek dental care here. I did not have a good experience and would not recommend. The dentist told me to be quiet because he was talking. WTF. I told the VA about my experience and they are giving me another community care referral. Very unprofessional place IMO. read more

I actually went here twice, and the main positive thing i can say is that the nurses were very kind and attentive. No real complaints about them. However, the dentist himself was not so much. He caused me a lot of undue pain, and when I tried to express this he just pushed me down and kept going. The nurse even tried to express that I was in clear pain and went ignored. I also nearly choked more than once, and even with me struggling to breathe he wouldn't back off to let me recover. He insisted my insurance would not cover a crown and that I would have to pay out of pocket without checking (upon actually reading, my insurance would cover it) and when I expressed that I could not pay out of pocket for the crown he became agitated and irritable, repeatedly saying "Fine, I won't tell you what to do, but if you don't buy this then doing anything else for your teeth is useless." As for the quality of the work, the filling he gave me is uneven and had begun to chip before the day ended, and the tooth that he treated has pain that it did not have before the procedure. I can't chew properly on that side of my mouth, and am planning to go to another dentist to see if it can be rectified. All in all, it was a painful, stressful experience solely due to the actions of the dentist himself. I did not previously experience stress related to going to the dentist, but I certainly do now. I had been going to this dentist for about a year and usually was very pleased with the experience and work done. Upon needing a crown to save a tooth between February and March of this year. The dental insurance I had didn't cover the services. I upgraded my insurance to a teir the officed accepted. I received the crown and had noticed the crown did not meet my gum line which is leaving exposed tooth to further decay and damages as well a cavity on a top back molar causing extreme sensitivity and pain. When I came back (May 11th) for my cleaning I was sure to bring this up and address my concerns. My appointment was at 11 am though "Dr".Sy was not there and I was told by his wife (very kind lady) I could come back at 3pm when he returned in which I did. I waited over 45 minutes to be seen which isn't unusual for this office and I've always been understanding. The assistant and dental hygienist were very kind as well and did amazing. The hygienist had touched the cavity with her cleaning which was excruciating. Though she was very diligent to work around the problem area. When "Dr".Sy came in he looked at my X-Rays as I explained my two concerns asking if he could look at them. He proceed to tell me nothing was wrong and the crown he had put on was perfect. The exposed tooth was fine I just need to clean it. At this time he has still not even looked at the issues just at the x-rays. After him being very dismissive and rude he continued to demand that I listen to him because he is the doctor. I grew very impatient and upset when he kept telling me I had no pain and there was no cavity (when I can literally see it with my own eyes). "Dr".Sy then told me i only came in "looking for an arguement".The dental hygeinst could have confirmed where she placed her tool when the terrible pain occurred. In which he responded to me that she was "just" a hygienist and "He is the doctor" This is now over 2 hours past my initial appointment and he still hadn't looked at my teeth. Telling me i have gum diseas and this is an issue i had brought upon myself. When he did finally look at the top left molar he then tried telling me I do not know where my pain is coming from. It must be coming from the front of the tooth which is perfectly fine. After going back and forth he then confirmed it was a cavity at the gum line telling his assistant to schedule me an appointment. When I told him I no longer trusted this process or feel listened to when I was telling everybody I was in pain. I got up and left the office highly upset. This was hands down THE MOST BELITTING , HORRIBLE , MORTIFYING EXPERIENCE!! It is not okay to be treated like this by any so called "health care professional". After all the time and money I have spent with them to fix my teeth for a year plus I'm honestly questioning all the work that has been done. I still have a very painful cavity and a 1600$ crown that isn't covering and protecting the tooth as it's intended purpose. It's saddening to say I will never be returning or recommending this dentist. read more

In response to the other review---sometimes there is a wait- but that's to be expected in the health industry. Typically it's the patients who arrive right on time or late which pushes them out. This place sucked. Called them and told them I was running 5 minutes behind, which they said was fine as long as it's not more than 10. Arrived 5 mins late, and saw that there were two other people sitting in the lobby ahead of me. The receptionist was on the phone so I waited for another 5 minutes. After they got off the phone I was handed 4 pages of paperwork to complete, which took another 5 minutes. Once I was done and handed back my paperwork, I looked around and noticed the two people that had arrived before me were STILL WAITING. Like what time was their appointment and are they going before me? I waited for another 10 minutes before asking the receptionist how long the wait was. They told me they're running behind, and didn't know how long it would take. I had to be somewhere else at 2 and my routine teeth cleaning was going to need at least 40minutes. I told them that I would have to cancel due to needing to be somewhere else at two and they were rude about it saying that it's because I was late to that appointment. How does me being 5 minutes late explain why there was already a handful of people waiting in line before I got there? I've never had to wait that long to be serviced at a dentist office and been treated so poorly by staff. Would not recommend this place! 0/10 read more

Definitely won't recommend this place to anyone. The dentist is extremely rude. I've been here 3 times, everyone besides the dentist is great. But I had a terrible experience the last time I went which was last week. I have a wisdom tooth that's growing in and it got infected for the second time last week, the last time I went to them for it was over a year ago. I went this time to get a recommendation for the oral surgeon again, since my health insurance denied the extraction the first time because i wasn't in immediate pain anymore (our healthcare system is ridiculous) even though it still needed to be removed. So when I told the dentist this time that I needed another referral so I can hopefully get it extracted this time, he said " I already referred you, I did my job! Why did you not get it removed?" I said, that I went to the surgeon but my insurance denied me. He said "you have ODS, that is immediate approval for extraction, they can not deny you!" And I said that's a lie because they did and I have the proof on paper, he said "no you must have not went to the oral surgeon or you're lying because they would never deny you!" And then he proceeded to tell me that I was wasting his time because "you are now taking up another patients slot who actually needs to be seen, with something I've already done for you." When I told him that I not only needed the referral but I needed antibiotics because it was infected again, he said "no I already did my job, I gave you antibiotics last time" but that was in AUGUST 2022. We are in October 2023. So needless to say, I left that office with a swollen mouth I couldn't open, in pain, feeling extremely uncomfortable because my own dentist made me feel like I was lying and with an infection he refused to treat because he gave me antibiotics for it over a year ago. Needless to say, I will not be going back here. read more

Appointment started 20 minutes late despite my getting there a half hour early. Dentist assistant accidentally let the x-ray machine hit my face. Understaffed and the dental assistant left the room multiple times without communicating with me to go help with another patient. Didn't see the actual dentist for more than 10 minutes. I have been searching for a dentist to start my new smile journey. Unfortunately I was homeless and on drugs for many years and as a result "all" of my teeth are destroyed. Most of them have broken off into little pieces leaving fractions of open teeth and exposed nerves etc. I have been in pain for so many years I'm almost used to the extreme pain st this point. But enough is enough. I deserve to have a beautiful smile. I love smiling and being kind I work in customer service so I truly need my smile back. I'd do anything So to sum this ip lol after calling and making my first appointment with 5 star smiles I could just feel the kindness in there voices they got me scheduled in just a few days. I think this dentist office is going to be amazing and I can't wait to start my journey to a much better smile and no more pain.
