This is the first time I've been here after only have gone to my childhood dentist till now. I chose this location due to the convenience of being near home. The system they had was ideal with them calling you in when your appointment time is up. They are very cautious of covid precautions and proceeded with the normal temp check and questionnaires. The inside was fairly small but looked very modern and clean. There was a koi fish pond central in the office which I thought was very cool. I was helped by Dr. Kyle Van and Erika (didn't get her last name). They were both very friendly and polite and spoke very clearly. I came in with a toothache that came and went and their evaluation felt very efficient. After the tests and scans, they told me directly what the likeness was and I got right out. Dental care with a Koi pond. All of the staff are very lovely. I get pretty anxious before appointments and they always do their best to make me feel comfortable. They make me feel we'll taken care of. My teeth were in bad shape when I first started going. They really made it easy to schedule follow up appointments. I've been going to Perledent for the last 8 years. The hygienists have changed over time but they've always been great. And Dr. Van is always gentle and professional. Had a couple crowns and fillings and while uncomfortable at times the staff have always been receptive if I asked them to turn up the water temperature or give my mouth a quick break. I'm moving in a few months and will drive the extra 10 minutes to go to Perledent. Can't recommend them enough. read more

I can't believe this guy is still in business. He gave me the maximum amount of Novacaine but when that did not numb me up enough he gave me laughing gas. Then went to work. I felt everything and kept telling him this. But he just kept going. He didn't seem to care at all. I started crying because I was in so much pain from what he was doing, finally he got angry, threw his tools down and left the room. STAY AWAY.... your just a dollar sign to him. read more

This was my first dental visit since the pandemic so I was definitely due for my cleaning/check up. Some digging into google/yelp and I found myself at Perledent dental. At every stage and level of the process everything went smoothly; from scheduling, checking in, the cleaning, and the exam from Dr. Van. Special shout out to Son the hygienist who made me realize cleanings didn't have to be painful the entire way through. My last three cleanings at another dental office were very uncomfortable, I just thought that was what it was supposed to feel like so I would just trudge through it. Very grateful to now know this is not supposed to be the case, and very relieved to find my new dental office to establish my care. PRO: Not super busy, close to home, insurance covers, easy to get an appointment when you want it. Emily and Irene are great. CONS: I have a phobia of needles. I can tolerate physical pain more than being poked by a needle. I told them that and Irene was super understanding and wasn't going to numb me but Meenakshi Dewan, DDS said I had to get numbed it was their policy. No matter how uncomfortable i told them I was about getting numbed and I've had numerous deep cleanings without getting numbed it was either get numbed or don't get cleaned and being pregnant with gum disease I cannot wait longer. I got numbed and what happened I panicked and fainted. The next time I have to get numbed again, which in no way benefits, I will be switching dentists. They make me feel like I have to be numbed for my comfort but not being numbed is better for me. Everyone is different and they should understand that. In all honesty I just think they want to bill my insurance for unnecessary bs. read more

I've searched for a new dentist since mine closed. It's interesting, interviewing dentists. Most take umbrage with the idea that I-an elder woman-wants to interview someone whom I'm going to trust my dental care to..... WTH is with that attitude ? My money, my mouth and I want a dentist who isn't a jerkwad......several tries later I found Dr Hallie. At Pearledent dental which is in a funny strip mall by the Elmonica Max Station. Pleasant people, friendly and cheerful and NO attitude. After meeting Dr Hallie I made an appt for a cleaning-just finished this today with Lisa the hygienist. Dr. Van is AMAZING! He does great work and really makes you feel comfortable being at the dentist. If you are looking for someone who does an amazing job on wisdom teeth and fillings, he is your guy! He really knows what he is doing and I feel like he is really honest with what I need and not out to get my money. Also, Regina at the front desk is super helpful with scheduling and financial questions. Did I mention how great the dental assistants are?? :) If you are close to the baseline office I would suggest going the extra 5 miles and find yourself at the Hillsboro office. I would avoiding scheduling any dental work with Dr. Dewaan though. She has terrible bedside manner and rushes through her work. I've had to get two fillings fixed from her questionable work already. I literally wish I could give this review negative stars. There are two dentists at this location, and mine was Dr. Meenakshi Dewan. When I first came here a year ago, I was drawn in by the great reviews. Little did I know that they were all for Dr. Van, who is evidently fantastic. Dr. Meenakshi Dewan, however, is not. She is perhaps the worst dentist I've ever been to. Her beside manner is nonexistent. She's in no way gentle. The staff is fantastic, don't get me wrong, but this dentist has no idea what she's doing. I went in with severe tooth pain, and she told me that the nerve was trying to break apart the tooth and I'd need a cap. When I asked why the nerve would do that, she said "They just do". Seriously? The final straw was when I went in for a cleaning, and after sitting in the chair, the techs start laying out instruments for a filling, but didn't inform me I was having one done, so I assumed went with it, because evidently it needed to be done. A week later I was experiencing pain on the filling she did, but they couldn't fit me in for an emergency check-up. I ended up going to Evergreen Family down the street, which I highly recommend, and he had to file down the huge bulbous filling she had done, which I'll probably need a root canal on now. Oh and the nerve that was "breaking my tooth up"? It was a cavity. Thanks doctor. She's a complete hack. It's disgusting. If you go here and want to get your money's worth, be sure to ask for Dr. Van, not Dr. Meenakshi Dewan. read more

Not happy with my current dentist in Lake Oswego I decided to give Perledent a try since they are 50 yards from my home. So far so good! I was impressed with the office and staff. It was very relaxing and they made me feel important. The doctor was very nice and said my teeth were fine (my last dentist gave me a large list of procedures that needed to be done, for a few thousand dollars!) They also had a play room for my 4 year old daughter and helped keep an eye on her which was great! Overall I was very pleased and will be back for sure.. read more

I have been to many dentists over the years. This is by far my worst experience ever. The hygienist had no compassion. I was gagging and choking on the x-ray equipment and told her I was really having trouble here. Can we stop? She just went on to finish. I have very sensitive teeth and this was the worst pain I've ever experienced for a cleaning. There was no empathy. I was practically jumping out of my chair in pain and had tears streaming down my face. MOST hygienists or dentists will switch to the old fashioned scraping method. Not here until the very end. The dentist (woman - don't know her name) wasn't especially friendly. She told me I have 5 cavities which is absolutely ridiculous since I'd been to my previous dentist less than a year ago and haven't had a cavity since I was a child. Total BS. My husband came here and he had the male dentist and hygienist and didn't have any problems. Needless to say, I will not be back and neither will my husband due to how I was treated. If you are sensitive to pain in any way, do not come here!!!! read more
