Cooper Mountain dental is tucked in a strip mall about half a mile off of 217. I've driven by it hundreds of times but it wasn't until I got a flyer in the mail and then read the great reviews online that I decided to give them a try. This is going to be my dental practice from now on! Everything from the front desk staff to the modern dentistry equipment to incredible bedside manner makes this place a 5/5 for me. Pros: - Plenty of parking lot space to park - On time! I got there and was taken back in less than a couple minutes. - Modern equipment. They seem to be using very state-of-the-art equipment/practices. This made a lot of the normal things (like x-rays) go by so much more quickly and less painfully. - They truly care. I see Dr. Ramkrishna, and I can't say enough good things about her. Compassionate, funny, always making sure you're doing okay. The entire staff is like this. - You'd think with how "fancy" the equipment is, the cost would be crazy, but this is on par with any other dental practice. Upscale without being pretentious or out of reach. - The work itself is really well done. I need to have procedures beyond a cleaning done, and it went by very quickly and I can already feel the difference in my tooth sensitivity. She and her assistant checked in with me regularly to make sure I was doing well. I healed up much more quickly than other experiences I've had. None: - None. He was scheduled for one filling, and before the appointment, I informed the office that another dentist did not believe a second filling was necessary. Instead of contacting me, they discussed the additional procedure with my minor son, who left feeling pressured into having both fillings completed. The office later said he verbally consented, but I don't believe a 16-year-old should be authorizing additional treatment without a parent being contacted. We won't be returning. I've been meaning to write a review for Hillside for quite a while now. I've been a patient of Dr…read more Braxmeyer for (I think) 7-8 years. I work from home and Hillside is right down the street from me. My previous dentist had retired, so I chose Hillside initially based on close proximity to home. The nice thing about the office is that they'll print out a plan for the work to be done on your teeth (if you have lots of issues like I do)--in my case, this is a long-term plan over several years in order to coordinate my dental insurance and what I pay out of pocket. Fixing teeth is not cheap, no matter where you go! But I find Dr. B to be practical. She prioritizes the work, so I know what I need to get taken care of more urgently. She is professional but also friendly and receptive and has a good sense of humor. I always know she has my best interests at heart. Also, she is VERY patient when she applies the numbing agent (shot)--slow and steady. You may not think that matters so much, but I had a dentist a long time ago who shot me up so quickly and often didn't leave a lot of time for the solution to fully numb and inevitably would have to give me a second shot. I thought that was "normal" until I went to my prior dentist and to Dr. B. A dentist should not rush you through the drilling process, and I know Dr. B cares about my comfort and doing things right. Also, Sam is one of her dental assistants and is most often the one to work with me. Sam's my buddy and has a great personality and sense of humor. She, too, is very thorough and cares about doing things right. I used to need nitrous oxide before drillings with my prior dentists, but I don't need it anymore because this team puts me at ease and I know Dr. B is going to be gentle and take her time and drill carefully. The front office has endured a number of changes over the past couple years, but I haven't had any negative experiences. Up until this past spring, I had the same dental hygienist all these years, but there have been changes there, too, and I understand there's a serious shortage of dental hygienists everywhere, so it takes time to get the right people in place. That said, I've never had a bad experience with my cleanings. Overall, Hillside Dental has a good team of quality professionals and I'm pretty happy with my experience over the years. If you live anywhere in the neighborhood (or work nearby), Hillside is a great place to go.
