Dr. Edward Pham knew exactly how to get Leo to be at ease and make a dental visit fun and exciting. Going to the dentist can be scary for the first time, but Leo really loved it. Dr. Hai Pham is an incredible doctor as well. He cares so deeply about his friends, family, patients, and employees. This family goes above and beyond and we're lucky to have little Leo going to their clinic. Front desk staff was kind and timely. The lobby is sweet and engaging and had The Good Dinosaur playing (which is such a sweet movie). Their display of how much sugar goes into common snacks and drinks was good to see and shocking to see how much sugar many of us give to our kids without knowing it. They're good at planning out the next appointments too. Everyone's busy and booked up in the health world, so it's nice they stay on top of reoccurring appointments. The first couple of visits my toddler sat on my lap and we did knee to knee with the dentist so he could look in my son's mouth but I was holding him for support. I felt bad he screamed, but the dentist assured me it was okay and that meant he had a better view of his teeth. This most recent visit, my son did great and was able to sit in the chair alone and go through the entire appointment without fussing. The hygienist did an great job keeping him involved and showing all the tools. Plus the tv on the ceiling is a great distraction! Recommend this location! (Hillsboro) Every person from phone answerer to reception to hygienist to the doctor is friendly, smiling, accommodating, reassuring and knowledgeable. They were so patient and easy going that each twin did fantastic, was cool and as willing as anyone is on a very first DDS visit. They actually allowed for their teeth to be cleaned and one even let an X-ray get taken! Yes. My kids are AWESOME but I will attribute much of this appointment's success to the greatness of Acorn staff. My NT daughter has fun at the office with the floor-video game, train table, and iPads. She is so much more relaxed at Acorn then the last place. And after her first visit I came to find out that the last dentist messed up in their "care" of a cavity a few months ago, but Acorn is in the process of making it all better. Sounds like I found them just in time! So obvs I highly recommend Acorn Hillsborro, though I'd bet the other locations are just as super. (The number you call to make an appt goes into a general feed so anyone from any of the offices might answer the phone. And I know that at least a few times it's been other offices that helped me when I called...and EVERYONE has been equally nice and helpful. You can actually hear their smile through the phone.) At every other dentist I have been to for myself and children, an out-of-pocket estimate is handed to us up front. This office does not do that. Additionally, they took 6-8 months to finally send a bill, after I had already switched dentists. To top it off, they only send a cryptic text message as the "statement". I ignored it for a few weeks because it looks like a scam. You don't receive a paper or even an emailed statement.

I'd rather go pay out of pocket for someone to fix them, then allow them my insurance to let them take them out. Great for kids. The system sends reminders before every appointment, and the office assistants will call you to remind you too. I haven't seen this level of service in any other dental office.
