Happy to be the 1st one to review Dr. Jared Thompson, DMD and his team at Pacific Oak Dental. And,…read moreno... I dont give out 5 stars often. So... I was putting off my next dental visit because of some sensitivity I had been having with my teeth. After the dog ate my night guard I decided it was time. With this visit I also decided to try out a new dentist. Dr. Thompson at Pacific Oak Dental came highly recommended to me by a friend, so I decided to check it out even though it was a little bit of a drive for me. For starters, the building is very nice, updated and very clean. I was promptly greeted with a smiling staff member. I had x-rays, an exam, cleaning, and they were also able to take impressions for my night time grind guard. I was happy that they were able to fit all of that in within 2 hours. Dr. Thompson didnt just pop in and take a quick look and leave like others I have experienced in the past. He looked around and was very thorough. The personal touch goes a long way. He discussed any concerns I had, what I wanted in the future, and also what he recommended that I 'should' do. Not once did it seem as though any of them were pressuring me to buy something. Thank you! My hygenist was personable, Bri was her name. Super easy to talk to, friendly and she was a gentle flosser. (BONUS POINTS) After everything was done they took me to the consultation room where they had everything broken down for me. What was covered by my ins. What wasnt. Etc. It is always nice to know right away what it is going to cost to do the things I want to do in future visits before leaving. This gives me plenty of time to think about options, budget etc. Needless to say, I rescheduled my follow up visit for mynight guard and will also be returning for another cleaning in November. Highly recommended.

Needed a new local dentist as my last dentist was a 45 min drive. Decided to try this dentist and…read moreI was not disappointed. New modern equipment, fast through cleaning. Just had, literally, my best (i.e. no pain) cleaning experience ever (after many, many moons on…read morethis planet) with Michelle today. I've been coming here for about six years now. I was impressed and delighted by their service on day one and just as impressed and delighted today, six years later after several cleanings, whitening treatments, and a few repairs. They have a clean, attractive space. They are super-professional. And they provide very kind and attentive service. I highly recommend them!

Now that I have been to other dental offices since The Dentists At Orenco Station, I feel I can…read moremake an honest review of my experience here. I am also not one to leave reviews unless I really feel compelled to. It's been a few years, and my feelings haven't changed. My first impressions were positive. The hygienists are very kind and thorough. I don't believe they are the problem at all. However, red flags started popping up when the dentist began pushing a tooth extraction and an implant. They had noticed something on my xray that they believe indicated my tooth needed to be removed sooner rather than later, however I never experienced pain or discomfort from this tooth. They sat me down in a room with their insurance person and told me how it would go down. As someone who is under 30 and never had any dental issues in my life, I was confused. I have also been told many times over my teeth look great. They referred me to an endodontist. Payed $300+ out of pocket for a 20 minute appointment for him to say "yeah, well maybe, maybe not we will have to wait and see." They also casually mentioned that the owners of the dentist establishment were their good friends. I did not follow up with a tooth extraction or implant following this appointment because the endodontist didn't say it was necessary at this time. I went back for another cleaning 6 months later and AGAIN was heavily pushed to schedule an extraction and implant. My intuition told me to get a second opinion, because something felt off. My gut was telling me this wasn't in my best interest and not for the sake of my dental health. As a young person who has never had dental issues in their life I felt like I was being taken advantage of. It felt as though they thought I was naïve. It felt as though this establishment was truly just a business trying to make themselves and their friends money. I have visited 2 other dentists since my experience here and have asked them point blank if I needed a tooth extraction and implant because a previous dentist told me that I did. I told them exactly what the dentist at Orenco Station told me. Both dentists I have seen since said no. AND if that were the case, extraction and implant should not be the first plan of action for someone so young who is also not experiencing any pain or discomfort. There should always be an effort to save the tooth. I still do not have problems or pain with said tooth. It's been 3+ years. I understand each dentist has their difference in opinion and can use their own discretion, especially in private practice. Some are more proactive and some are reactive. However, my experience was that this place was purely a business looking to make money. They did not make me feel like they had good intentions or my best interest in mind. They were VERY pushy to undergo expensive treatments. For future or current patients of this place, just use your own discretion. Advocate for yourself. Get a second opinion. Trust your intuition. This is just my experience I felt compelled to share.

I just had my teeth cleaned at Aesthetic Dentistry and I am surprised at how white and smooth…read morethey are now. They do a really great job at making sure your teeth are clean and look great when you walk out the door. DR Bowden is willing to work with you individually. If you are not in need of x-rays you will not be forced to have them just to have your teeth cleaned. They focus on what the patient actually needs at the time instead of treating you like a number. DR Bowden has done research, to find the least allergen prone material for fillings. One time I got a filling at another office and I could tell immediately that I was allergic to it because my tooth hurt. I had to have Dr. Bowden take it out and put in a new one, with the material that he uses and then it was fine. The effort made to keep your original teeth in tact is really appreciated at this office. I only have one crown and I want to keep it that way. I recommend Dr. Bowden because he avoids hazardous materials and uses the least allergy prone materials for fillings. For me this is really important. I now have all of my amalgams replaced with porcelain and I have a nicer healthier smile.

I received a crown from Dr Bowden and it has broken apart. Total cost for the crown from Dr Bowden,…read moreand the work to repair it, will exceed $3900. Not to mention, the significant pain and discomfort this has caused. I do not recommend Dr Bowden. Update: A filling that Dr Bowden placed now needs to replaced with an onlay, just months later. Total cost, with the filling and repair, $2000. Again, not to mention the stress, pain, and time involed
