Dr Wolfe is retired. The new dentist is a tool. I came in for a regular cleaning just like all the other 50 times I have had my teeth cleaned and they tried to up sale me on gum therapy. Then refused to clean my teeth. I'm on a 6mo schedule and never had a problem with any services before. The dental hygienist must of been her first week on the job poked around in my mouth for over an hour then decided to call over the dentist. He was busy so another guy comes over and tells me I need to remove my bridge etc. idiots!!!!! So mad and will never go back they have lost my entire family as clients now. Still beyond happy and satisfied with this practice. Today I made an error and got the time wrong of my appointment and am so thankful they were able to get me on with another dentist who I had not met yet and it went great and I was SO nervous to get a cavity filled as I haven't had one in forever and it went absolutely great. The front desk staff and assistant to the dentist were all wonderful. Definitely recommend this practice, the staff and providers. I have never had financial issues with them, yes we always end up having to pay a lot but not because of Wolfe Dental or the staff but because most dental insurance does a bad job of covering you which is not abnormal at all. I have went here since Dr. Wolfe first started years and years ago across the street and do not think they rip you off, if anything they go above and beyond trying to help you when your insurance denies stuff. FAITH IN DENTISTS RESTORED When someone has his name on the sign outside for over 18 years it must be a good sign, so I decided to give it a try after having too many bad experiences at other locations that in all honesty should be considered for emergency situations only. Oh well. Getting the appointment is all through a webpage, super simple! As I arrive, I'm greeted with a free face-mask (Since I wasn't wearing one and this was in March). The first appointment was with Dr. Wolfe himself, and before meeting him, Chris walked me into the usual X-Ray initial session I thought "Here we go again", BUT NO: Wolfe is all about comfort and technology so you walk into a room with a robot , that goes around your head and takes all the pictures . Dr. Wolfe devised a treatment plan for me, explained the situation and referred me to Tammi. On my first follow-up for a deep cleaning , I met Miranda. She offered local numbing without using shots (Something I've never had before) and that worked amazing. Not only she finished much faster but she was telling me all these funny stories, like how COVID19 made us all clean up our homes and we were all waiting for Goodwill to open . On my last treatment session, I ran into another patient with very nice home-made face-masks . Since I told Miranda, she shared my cell number with that patient, who then texted me to offer help during these weird times. Scheduled an appointment earlier this week. Received emails and text confirming the appointment, one of which let me know they require 2 business days notice to change an appointment to avoid a cancellation fee of $100 per reserved hour. Today, an hour after I received that text warning, and with only 1 business days notice, I received a call that my appointment was no longer available. I don't love when business finds it appropriate to demand monetary compensation for their time but don't respect for their clients time. I was told the dentist would be in treatment, which tells me they aren't reliable or organized. It rubbed me wrong and I elected not to reschedule. After reading these reviews, it sounds like my initial feeling was likely right and this was a lucky save. read more

At first, I was happy with this office. Things didn't seem so expensive and the care was pretty good. However, at some point, no matter how good my insurance was, I always owed them so much money! I even had one of the best versions of insurance towards the end of my care there, but I still had to pay $40 for a cleaning!!!???! when it's supposed to be 100% covered? Being that I've unfortunately dealt with insurance and the whole racket for the last few years, I really did feel that this office is looking to squeeze every last penny they can out of people. Their pricing is very likely way over the top- I never did look at how much they charge, I just I was always paying for everything. They seemed to always have more work to do on us, there was always an exponential amount to pay even on a simple cavity, and they are quite harassing with phone calls and emails to boot. I've never personally encountered such a headache and stress factor with a dental office. I didn't even have anything major done there. I do believe that because they are next door to the Intel campus, they know people have money here so ain't no thing to bill people. It's unfortunate, but greed guides so many people these days. It's sad, and I've been in the medical profession for over 27 years. The doctors are nice but they really need to check in with things... too many medical people are out there to get as much money as they can. I am nervous about dentists, and new to the area...my daughter, however, has been here 12 years, and has liked her dental office so I gave them a try. They quickly made me feel at home. I am meticulous about my teeth, so I knew they were in great shape, which was confirmed by the Dr Bardeloza, who was professional, friendly and caring. I returned a few days later for a cleaning, which was quite pleasant (massage chair) and Tana the hygienist, did a fabulous job making sure I was comfortable and answering a few questions I had! She was friendly and, because I was interested, explained the process as she went along. If you are not interested there is a TV on the ceiling for you to utilize. Thank you both and all the office staff for making my visit great! I was early to my appointment today so I sat outside in my Subaru and had a snack. A blonde woman that works there, through the window, started taking pictures of me in my car. Not how you should handle a customer parked outside of your business. So unprofessional and really creepy. Deceptive business practices. They list on their website that they accept my insurance as in-network and told us the same thing in person. They pressured us to have same day dental work done for our children and said the cost would not exceed $400. Next thing I know we're sent a bill for $1300. Turns out our insurance is out of network and they never told us. I would never have used them if I knew. Very dishonest office. Stay away. read more

As a customer, it is my right to be informed about the costs of services before agreeing to proceed with them. This is a principle that I made clear to Ben Wolfe when I first engaged with him. I required that Wolfe Dental contact my insurance company to disclose my coverage so that I could know my obligation. However, despite my requirement, I was repeatedly sent payment-due notices in error, which took time to resolve and caused undue stress and anxiety, as I always left my visits with a zero balance as required. When I raised my concerns with Ben Wolfe about his office's billing practices, he became defensive- his demeanor was narcissistic and unprofessional- and was forced to lesson to his excuses for his employee's incompetence instead of fixing this problem. This behavior is unacceptable, and while I am not surprised to read about others experiencing the same issues- it is important to make the public aware of his practices. For those of us who expect and require clear and accurate information about the costs of services, I strongly suggest you avoid Ben Wolfe and his deceptive practices and invest the time to find a dentist with the integrity to bill what was agreed. read more

It has taken me a while to put this review together because it felt so strange having such a bad experience at the end of my treatment. I first went in wanting traditional braces and Dr. Wolfe insisted that I was too old for traditional braces, so I was influenced to get Invisalign. My treatment was paused halfway through because of Covid, and I had to basically restart my treatment once his office reopened. I had a revision done and I was still unhappy with my teeth since they were still crooked. I complained and asked for a new revision because my teeth were still very crooked.... he got very defensive and became rude to the point where he said he was losing money with me? I voiced my concerns to him, and he just walked out of the room. He handed my last trays and said that was the end of my treatment.... I never went back. I just relocated to the area and became a patient at Wolfe Dental. The staff here is extremely nice, and they've made my visits very comfortable. After my initial visit, I returned to the office for a consultation for work that needed to be done. The process was very thorough and informative and not pushy at all. The office has also been extremely helpful with working with my insurance. Today, I had three old fillings removed and replaced with two new fillings and a crown. It's never fun getting dental work done, but I didn't feel a thing and was comfortable watching TV while Dr. Rowley and his assistant completed the work professionally and efficiently. I went in the first time with a cracked tooth and all went well. The dentist I had (not Wolfe) was unhappy I wanted a crown made from the lab instead of the same day office created one, but did so anyway and I was happy with the results. In the past I had an in office created one once from another dental office and I was in pain for a whole month after and as a migraine sufferer I just refuse to risk having that experience again. Come the next weekend one of the other molars which had a fractured filling that needed work on a later date decided to just break so I made an emergency visit and this time got Wolfe. Now I had to schedule this during my work week which are 12.5 hr night shifts, so an hour after work I came in they took an x ray and Mr. Wolfe came in talked about what was needed and brought up the subject of how the previous dentist was new with them and apparently did not argue enough with me to get the in office created crown and so I asked if he was then refusing to send this one to the lab. He said he felt it was a waste of time to do that and would not. So I replied that it seems then that I had just wasted my time, to which he replied I guess so and just walked out. This is extremely unprofessional. I get that you can decide as a business owner on what procedures you will or wont do, but since I was told the last time that it wasn't a problem and they had done it, I had a reasonable expectation that wouldn't be a problem. If he would have said that since this is an emergency and they had done before that this time they would but to be informed in the future they would not offer that to me that would have been an acceptable and professional response. But he chose to be arrogant and greedy ( I'm not stupid, the only reason for denying this was so they didn't have to pay the lab to create it ) and leave a patient with a busted tooth. So this shows all a person needs to know about him, all he cares about is getting your money and not about quality patient care. read more

The staff was so warm and welcoming. On my first visit they showed me around and gave me a full tour of the office, which I had never encountered anywhere else before. They have state of the art equipment and handle their patients in a very professional manner. They did a great job on my teeth, got me in and out in a timely manner and gave me good advice! Wolfe Dental judged me from the moment I stepped into the office because I informed them I was on Cobra and they would have to use SS instead of my group number to look me up. They proceeded to take me to my appointment in which the front desk administrator stopped my appointment to tell me my insurance is was not active (incorrect). I told her I would contact the primary insurance holder and she rolled her eyes and walked away. The dentist, Dr. Brian, proceeded to do my exam in which I told him I think my tooth had cracked (which was why I was there). They also pushed me to do an invisalign scan which I didn't want. He completed basic testing and said, "You are not exhibiting enough pain-like symptoms for me to believe there is anything wrong". I asked him to find another way to look at the tooth and he used light technology and found two fractures. When the appointment was done they told me I would need a regular cleaning and a crown. Instead of letting me go they took me into an office to "Discuss Billing". Darci, the billing personal told me "I can not let you go until you pay". I told her my insurance was active but it wasn't until I called my father on the phone (primary insurance holder) for which she allowed me to leave and have us call her back regarding the insurance. Turns out they never put in my SS to find my insurance and just looked for the group number. Darci then told me verbally a range of prices, tried to mischarge me for the appt at $300 dollars when I was told on the phone it would be $100 because I was a new patient and then proceeded to print out the outrageous prices for teeth cleanings, etc. I decided to go with a new dentist and asked for my records. When I called I asked to also have the name and phone number of a manager to speak with. Darci started to try to give me a talking to about how I need to be an adult so I told her I was going to record the conversation if she went any further. Her response was to hang up on me. Because I needed my records, I called back 5 times and the phone was picked up and then hung up or sent straight to voicemail. My records were eventually emailed to me and the dentist I was switching to. A investigation has been started with Wolfe Dentistry through the Oregon Board of Dentistry. I wanted to write this all out because I never want anyone to feel the way this dentistry office made me feel. I was in pain and vulnerable with my tooth, I just wanted health care and instead I felt like this office only cared about money and thought I was trying to cheat them out of money. I did find out later that Dentists do not have to take the hippocratic oath like doctors do and are therefore do not have the same responsibilities as doctors. Be safe out there! read more

I had an insurance change and visited Wolfe Dental in the Tanasbourne Location. The front desk staff, hygienist and even the Dentist was very helpful and nice. But, I didn't have a great experience in the procedure itself which is the primary reason, we go to a Dentist. I had been there for a filling, and in the start of the procedure itself I felt something was not right( compared to my previous experiences). I had a lot of pain for the next few days and weeks and felt very sensitive. They were prompt in following up and trying to fix it, but nothing worked and I still feel some sensitivity after the procedure for more than 4 months. I think the damage is done already and I regret myself for accepting to the procedure for which I just wasted 100s of dollars to hurt myself. read more

If I could put less than one star i would. This place just rips off your insurance then wants more money out of you. My dentist moved after seeing him for 20 years so I went to Wolfe dentistry. Absolutely will not go back. You all ripped me off of my medicare insurance allotment last year. You said I needed fillings and bridges and you took an extreme amount of xrays that were unnecessary. You charged my insurance up the A** for all that and I couldn't get my cleaning done because there was no time left neither was there any money left from my medicare insurance and thats what I went there for. Discusted about how you charged my medicare insurance all that money and I only went in for a cleaning and you couldn't even do it without charging me $200.00 more. And now a year later my insurance has reset and all of the sudden you can clean my teeth. Well BS. I got my cleaning done in mexico for 40.00 this winter they were awesome and throughly cleaned and checked my teeth and amazingly enough, I need no fillings. I don't need any bridges. they told me how to care for a tooth that was bugging me and it worked. You all are in it for the insurance money. Total rip off read more

New patient at this practice and had my first cleaning today. It was pretty to get an appointment and not many places take my dental insurance surprisingly, but this office does. I had some issues getting out the door this morning and was running 10 minutes late. I felt really frantic but not only were they were able to accommodate me, they really helped me get my day back on track. So many positive things to say: - friendly staff - amazing facility- beautiful, so clean, top notch equipment - given a tour of the office upon arrival - my chair had a massage option (what??!) - laying back into cleaning, there's a flat screen on the ceiling and a headset to watch/listen to the tv - given a choice for the flavor of the cleaning - Linsy and Dr. Rowley took the time to get to know me and didn't push any procedures, just the right amount of conversation - there's also a kids play room and a beverage room - left with a little goodie back that had a travel bag, toothbrush, toothpaste and floss I highly recommend this office and strangely enough, kind of can't wait to get my next cleaning in 6 months (that's weird, I know!) read more

I had a root canal procedure to be done, my crown broke during thanks giving!! I realized I didn't have a coverage when i my filling broke, had to wait till new years to attend to it. Dr. Rowley took X-rays during my first visit during thanks giving, he was patient in looking into things and setting next course of actions. I had a root canal surgery performed earlier this morning, went really well. Got referred to an endodontics as my case was little complex. Ok, so Dr. Wolfe took over Dr. Kirkland practices I was a delta dental PPO patient and covered 100% by Dr. kirkland. What the front desk or Dr. Wolfe failed to inform me was they are out of PPO network and only take premier. Costing PPO patients more money. Bad take over and not informing patients at check-in or before hand. I would advise all Dr kirkland patients that Dr. Wolfe is not a PPO provider look else where. Awesome! From the front desk, dental hygienists, to the dentist I have had nothing but great experiences. I am not a fan of the dentist and to be honest it had been a long while since I had been to one. Thorough cleaning and filling replacement had me a little nervous, but they are so patient and thorough every step of the way. They really made me want to come back for more work--can't wait to get my invisilign. They really do ensure that each person who comes in is comfortable and really cared for. Honestly, I don't mind coming here at all. The deep cleaning on my teeth was very intense and honestly pain free. I had to do two sessions because I lacked in dental visits the past few years, but they got my teeth and gums in great shape! Not only do they take care of your teeth, they really try to educate everyone on why it is important to keep up good oral hygiene and what to do to prevent any bad happening to your teeth/gums. My wife and I had been looking for a dentist for a couple years. I'd about had it with rude, expensive, arrogant dentists of which Hillsboro seemed to have no shortage. Then, on a pure accidental encounter of just happening to call upon Dr Wolfe's office because we walk or drive by it on the way to Costco or the Library or Starbucks or other occasional venues... WHAT A PLEASANT SURPRISE to find this office! From the receptionist's helpful, good humored professionalism to the clean and modern front office decor to painless bookkeeping to state-of-the-art equipment and their own cool machines to people-centric skill-based philosophy and incredibly talented bedside manner and professional skill... kudos to this top-notch local family dental office! We have been totally satisfied with everything about their service. Amazing that a dentist still takes time to do call backs after a job and say "How are you feeling today? Just checking." And for a dentist himself to be willing to actually do part of the cleaning, and not just the consult afterwards. And for an office to have a true pediatric dental tech, and plenty of things for little people's interests and needs? And a staff that's every bit as pleasant, professional, and happy to be of service as the leader at the top: This is a very family friendly, professional and dedicated bunch of people building a special place. The worst. Paid $1300 for a bridge and cleaning after my insurance paid $2,000! I started treatment for a bridge and had a temporary put in. While waiting for the permanent bridge to be put in I was in extreme pain and I called for an appointment. I showed up at the office for my appointment and found out that the office was closed for a week because they were out at a conference. At the same time as Dr. Rowley is taking off the temporary and putting in the permanent bridge, he tells me I need a root canal. Since then I have had ongoing pain in the same area after the root canal. They also loosened and ruined a bridge on the other side of my mouth which I had to have replaced. My front tooth has had ongoing pain as well and he told me he probably opened up a can of worms. Mind you I had no pain before going to see Dr. Rowley. Now they are suing me for the balance of $300 I owe them. Why should a bridge and cleaning cost so much especially after the care I received and would you pay him or go back to this office? Like many dentists, they seem to find things that are "wrong" that your previous dentist for years never mentioned. I take that with a grain of salt. However, Wolfe Dental told me I would be on a "program for life", that cost over $100 per visit than what my insurance allowed. And I have pretty good insurance. The thing is, they told me this AFTER what I thought was a regular cleaning, which should have been 100% covered. When I went in to discuss it, they seemed not to care. So, I told them I was going to a new dentist, and again, they didn't seem to care at all. Their billing is a sham! I, like many, absolutely dread going to the dentist. This is probably why I allowed a cavity to get so bad it needed a root canal. I visited Wolfe Dental and was pleasantly surprised at the whole experience. The entire staff is kind, patient, and approachable. The assistant (I want to say CeCe??) was so chatty and pleasant that I almost forgot why I was there. Dr. Rowley instantly put me at ease and it was a fairly painless procedure. In fact, I got to watch Netflix the entire time, headphones and all! They really take the steps to make their patients comfortable and this was huge for me. On top of it all, the place is sparkling clean while also warm and inviting. Highly recommend to others; this is where I will have all my dental needs met from here on out! read more
