The owner (tall male), I believe was very nice! The technician who did my no chip and pedicure did a good job. I was very impressed. It was also my first time and the owner gave me a discount (thank you!). I'll definitely be back :) read more

I have gone here for several years, today I was so looking forward to my pedicure however it was the shortest one I have ever received! 20 minutes! Plus the price went up $5 to $40 for a twenty minute pedicure! Sad part the owner and workers don't really care, when I said something they had NO words! read more

Nice, spacious and clean salon. I got a no-chip manicure and it lasted more than 2 weeks.

Had the best no chip by Eva. Sadly she's going back to college so I don't know who to try now. read more

One of the newest additions in town as far as nail salons go and Man, I am happy! I am a freak about getting my nails and toes done pretty regularly and so I have had my fair share of places I go to. It's very clean and comfortable. The massage chairs are great as I expect out of a new salon. The technicians are meticulous and my regular manicure lasts the whole two weeks as long as I reapply a top coat one time in between. The massage they give is great. The owner really cares and checks in on you. Great polish selection clean and inviting plastic liners for the pedicure bowls and they sanitize all equipment right after use quality products shoulder massage with manicure Rewards program where they keep the cards on file for you. relaxing Can't really go wrong. Horrible experience at Smiley Nails on Saturday, January 25th at the Mt. Prospect location. I went in for a pedicure and manicure, unfortunately, it was the worst one I have ever had in my life. The lady that was assigned to me for my service was very lazy, did not act like she even wanted to be working that day. I had to ask her to add warm water as it was cold, she did not use the metal tool that gets dry skin off until I asked her to please do so as she said she was not going to do it. I had not had a pedicure in 6-months. My legs were wet from being rinsed off from the scrub, you would think she would dry them off before wanting to lotion my legs ....NOPE! To top it all off, she never even USED ANY SANITIZER!! I did address my concerns with the gentlemen in the salon! AVOID THIS PLACE!! NO MUSIC, NO WATER OFFERED, MUCH BETTER PLACES TO GO IN OUR AREA! read more

I've been coming here for my mani/pedis for several years. The space is pretty and very clean and the technicians always do a good job. They are very meticulous and friendly! read more

I booked pedicures for 5 people and added on a manicure when I walked in. They said ok. Half of the way thru my pedicure my daughter was ready for her mani. They said, "we can't give her mani we are busy". I said, oh ok, because well, that does happen. No big deal. Then, 2 minutes later they took a walk in for a manicure. I asked them how come they had time for a walk got no answer. Not a word. So I asked again, louder. The guy doing the toes turned away and spoke to other people in his language for a few minutes then turned back and only said just "you booked 5 pedicures, no mani". No "I'm sorry, or there's been a misunderstanding". Nothing like that. Just "you booked 5 pedis, no mani." When I explained that I did mention add a mani at check in, they turned and talked to each other for 5 minutes then gave me no update. I asked again. And so it ended, with the walk in person getting her mani while my 8 year old stood there. Oh and also there was not one smile to be found at smileys. I took some pics which I'll attempt to upload. I try my best to support local businesses, but this is one I'm going to skip. We won't be back. Attached is a pic of my kid looking sadly at the walk in client who is about to get a mani and wondering why the place is "so mean" Only positive I can say is that they have a clean place. read more

I was eager to try this location because I've heard about it in the Mt Prospect Facebook group and happened upon a coupon for a free manicure here when I visited Capannari's. I noticed the coupon didn't have an expiration date listed, so I wasn't hard-pressed to use it right away. I stopped by Smiley nails in the early afternoon this past week without an appointment and was able to be scheduled with someone for a no-chip manicure. I told the woman up front that I had a coupon but she told me it was expired. I told her I didn't see an expiration date, so she said she'd honor it "this one time." Ok. I picked my no-chip color and sat down with at the counter. The worker doing my nail seemed like she just really didn't want to be there. I had a no-chip on from another location, so she started the removal process and told me my nails needed to soak for ten minutes. I think that's pretty normal, so I waited there while she took her phone and headphones and disappeared into the back. Ten minutes came and went and she was still not back, so I was a little annoyed. I think the woman at the desk picked up on this and shouted to the back for my person to come out, and she eventually did. I was a little surprised that they don't have you soak your nails in water before they work on your cuticles so expect your nails to be dry. There's no lotion/oil that's applied to your hands, but they do at least have hot towels at the end. While I was sitting and getting my no-chip done, the woman at the desk told me that I actually would not qualify for a free manicure because that does not apply to the no-chip, however, the coupon would get me $15 off the regular price. I wish she would have told me that before they already started removing my previous no-chip, but whatever. I got my nails done in the end and the experience was just ok. The nice thing about them is the gentleman who works there and takes time to speak with the customers and gets to know them. If it weren't for him, I think I would have felt unwelcome. They do offer a punch-card option where you can earn your way to a free manicure or pedicure. They keep it on file at their location. You also get a free manicure on your birthday. As a heads up, for any of these perks, "manicure" refers to a standard manicure, not the no-chip. No-chips will get $15 off. read more

To be honest, this place is great. Your nail state. Great for a little after 2 weeks. They're natural, so everything they're using is good on your nails. They don't use any machinery which is awesome, so your nails will not be Damaged. read more

I've been going there for a couple of years now. Yesterday was the worst mani-pedi I've ever received. Lady seemed to think of me as a bother. Only put one coat of color on my nails and pedi was done within 12 mins. No pushing Cuticles back. Just seemed like she wanted it over with. By this morning nail color is already chipping. Not sure I'll go back. read more

This place is amazing! I've been to many of the nail salons around the area and have never been pampered this much! My nails look awesome and I'm so relaxed. I will definitely be back in 2 weeks! read more

My new salon. Great service. Very kind and welcoming. It's hard to find a good nail salon and this one is excellent! Highly recommend!!

I had a $15 dollar off a no chip manicure coupon so I decided to give this place a try. I was very impressed. The salon itself is very clean, modern, and gives you a welcoming feeling. The girl that did my manicure was super sweet and did a great job. They give you a quick shoulder and hand massage when you get a manicure which was a nice little treat. It's been a week and my manicure looks good as new! I will definitely be back! read more

Better name would be Busy Nails. My first trip was for no chip, which chipped the first day; they offered to fix it, and when I went back 3 days later, most nails were chipped. They also filed my nails so much to remove the polish that I could fold my nails back, like Saran Wrap. The replacement mani chipped within a week, and my soft nails peeled off. I tried again with a pedicure, which was ok but rushed. I am not sure how much you are supposed to tip here, because I gave $10 each time (mani, replacement mani and pedi) and none of the technicians smiled or thanked me, just sort of sneered at the money. read more

My 98 year old mother just raves about this place. I rave about it because they treat like a Queen. This is my go-to nail salon atm in the suburbs. They almost always have coupons/specials going on even though they are an average priced salon. I met the owner upon my first visit, he is very kind and all the workers appear to be happy which I find important. PROS: Clean Lasts (No-chips) last a little longer than two weeks Friendly staff A punch card that they keep on file for you *Most importantly, consistent good work from the manicurists!* CONS: Not enough cuticle attention with a pedicure TVs are always muted Do not use brand new equipment with each service read more

Great service always! They make sure you get a punch on your card and always look out for the customer. Unlike many places where they forget or could care less if you get a deal. Love that they offer so many holiday specials/discounts for services which is always a plus. My no chip french has not chipped at all and its been over a week. Best place to go if you live nearby!! read more

I was excited to try the new neighborhood salon... When I walked in I was impressed with the appearance and cleanliness. I asked for a color change for my nails with a design on my ring finger... They said they do absolutely no designs. NEVER have I heard of a nail place not do designs. OK. So I still wanted to give them a shot... I picked a bottle of OPI nail polish and was immediately told that color comes with a five dollar up charge because it's new and supposed to last longer. I put the bottle back and walked out... Went to the usual spot down the street. read more

This is not about a recent service. I go to the Smiley in Edison Park Chicago and love it so I wanted to take my nieces to get their finger/toes painted as a special treat to this location. They are 4/7 years old. I was told by the lady that answered the phone that they will not accommodate my request for a polish change that it must be kid's mani/pedi. My response "was even for the 4 y.o?" She said yes this is what my boss tells me. So, I called a highly rated competitor down the street and they were happy to accommodate us. I'm disappointed because why would I pay for mani/pedi for a 4yo? Just a heads up that they may many to change their policy for little ones. read more

I used to love this place but lately they have been really lacking in quality of service. I had to ask for the pedicure girl to use the pumice bar and callus shaver. I mean isn't that her job to notice? When I asked, she seemed annoyed. Overall quality of pedicure was very poor. When I went to leave and pay, every worker was on their phone and didn't even notice I was waiting by the desk. It's a shame because I used to love smiley nails. I won't be back. read more

I have been going to Smiley Nails in Mt. Prospect since they opened. A couple of weeks ago I went for a mani pedi. I sat in the chair and put my feet in the water. The person take care of me, put on gloves and checked the water. Then she noticed something with the woman next to me. Took her hands out of the water, placed a hand to adjust something in the other woman's water, came back and never changed the glove, but continued to begin to work on my feet. Before she sat down, she picked up a cotton ball and wiped something off her chair, and put the cotton ball back where it was. Walking to the chair for my mani, something was laying on the floor next to the chair. The same person picked it up and again placed it in with the other cotton balls. I said "That's dirty"...she mumbled something but didn't it remove it. I believe the owner better make sure sanitation is practiced. I will be hard pressed to return. My polish must have been old, peeled off in 3 days also. read more

Our group of 20 had a great time visiting Smiley's for manicures and pedicures! Smiley's handled the whole group smoothly and efficiently and it was a wonderful experience! They have 2 pedicure stations that are set up for younger clients which appealed to some in our group. The staff at Smiley's were friendly and accommodating. The décor is new, modern and everything was very clean and pleasant. We will definitely return to Smiley's. I also highly recommend them for a large group outing! read more

Smiley Nails is my absolute favorite place to go to! I've been to many nail salons in my life and this one beats them all.

Only came here because I saw their ad on Facebook and they had coupons. I came in last week for a no chip and the lady who did my nails was annoying. I had a cut on my finger and told her ( I also had a bandaid over my cut) I asked her to not put the foil over my whole finger and what does she do..... my finger was on fire. I took off the foil myself as soon as it started burning and she said "it's not on there" OK... I guess. She then started being cautious of that specific finger which gave me hope until she damaged my nails. Idk what she did but my nails are so uneven and weak now.. my pinky nail broke and she also left polish on my nails from my last no chip and said my other salon did my no chip wrong. No girl you suck and I'll never be back read more

Great quality nails and friendly service!! During the holidays my sister, aunt and I came here as walk-ins and had a great time! First of all, my nails lasted well after my flight back home. It turned out to be a good idea to de-stress during the holidays. read more

I have gotten a no chip and spa pedi twice here. The first time was ok. The second time the no chip was beyond awful. Not even 24 hours later I got a chip so I went back. The nail tech didn't remove the polish instead he just patched up what was missing. 2 days later the polish came off the nail completely and another nail. Went back for a second time to have that repaired. The following day 2 other nails began lifting. I go back and the girl said "so what do you want me to do!" Are you kidding me??!!!!! I'd like you to apologize and fix it! 3 times in 5 days for repairs. STAY AWAY unless you have to to potentially go back daily for repairs! read more
