Called…read moreon 9/8/26 as my referral for my left hip was approved on 9/2 and was told they couldn't find my referral. After being placed on hold for quite awhile, they found my referral and said that I needed to be assigned to a provider and will be called back in 24 hours to schedule appointment. No call back, so I called to follow up today 9/11 and was told they couldn't find my referral again. Gave my info then the receptionist rudely asked if I had seen pain management before, which I replied, yes for my back. She said I need to submit my records for any pain management because the doctor needs to review and approve me before I can get an appointment. I said they need this even though it's for another part of my body? She said it doesn't matter, they need to see everything. At this point, I was so frustrated because she never confirmed she found my approval and added a new hoop to jump through to see if I will even be "approved" to get an appointment for a consultation. This is absolutely ridiculous and I just said thank you and hung up. Good luck getting past the front office to even get a consultation!

I went in hoping to find a good injection doc for chronic back and neck pain and left in tears after 4 visits. During the last visit, he burst into the exam room and said " so you didn't finish your meds, huh?" I told him I had to stop steroids on day 5 because I had a bad reaction. I continued to ask him questions and explain how my pain had predictably come back. He then spent the rest of the visit yelling at me and interrupting every sentence. I barely got to finish any sentence I began. He said he had already explained that I didn't have pinched nerves ( which conflicted with my MRI report) I broke down in tears, but that didn't stop the yelling. He just started talking directly to my husband. My husband was shocked at his behavior. He did give me injection options and sent us home with literature - but honestly I never want to be in the same room as this man again My husband and I have no clue what I did to set him off. All I can say is - If you're in pain and feeling vulnerable - stay away!

That doctor refused to even try trigger point injections and immediately pushed me toward an epidural. I didn't really want one, but I was desperate for relief at the time, so I went through with it. The very first thing Dr. Nini said when he examined me was that he wanted to try trigger point injections first before considering any epidural treatment. That instantly told me he was actually listening to my concerns instead of rushing me into procedures. I received the trigger point injections today and already feel hopeful again. Awesome pain management doctor, excellent staff, and still someone who genuinely tries to help his patients instead of taking the "one size fits all" approach. Highly recommended. He notice that my nose looks really swollen so he prescribe be 2 different kind of nose spray. Check back with Dr Kao in 1.5 months and there was no different in my breathing. He took a closer look and said I have a deviated septum and gave me the 3 different scenario on what I wanted to do. It took me a few months to decide but I opt for the surgery route since it's 90% effective. The office staff was quick and wonderful at scheduling the pre-op, surgery, and post-op. Everything was explained very throughly. The surgery facility is very clean one of the cleanest I've seen so far. The nurses (did a great job that my IV sight did not bruised) and anesthesiologist was very professional and courteous. I thought I was going to be in major pain but it wasn't too bad. Doctor said down time was a week but I only took a day off after surgery since I work from home.

Dr. Gary resolved a nagging hip pain I've had on and off for years due to overuse. I've seen PT's in the past and they've all said the same things: "stretch your hip, work it out a little more, etc." and none of them every found the root cause. From the first session, I could tell Dr. Gary was different. He looked at my issue holistically and focused on the bad ankle on the same side as my bad hip. After that first session, I haven't had hip pain and for the remaining sessions we were able to focus on ankle mobility to resolve other issues related to it. I had already tried other physical therapy offices and wasn't getting any meaningful relief. Working with Gary was completely different. Nothing ever felt rushed, and within the first 30 minutes of my initial visit, I could already feel an improvement. What stood out most was how tailored the treatment was to me. It wasn't the same standard PT routine you see everywhere or exercises you could easily find on YouTube. After every session, I felt better and continued to make progress. I'm not completely pain-free yet, but I'm about 75% better than when I started. More importantly, I feel confident that continuing with the program Gary developed for me will keep me moving in the right direction and eventually get me back to running and being more active and pain-free with my kids.
