Super knowledgeable and quick to answer all of my questions thoroughly. He was also very casual (no pressure) about the actual sales process. He was very personable and it was very nice that he was very familiar with my favorite local car repair shop. It didn't hurt that the car was clean, loaded with "nice to have" features and priced reasonably for comparable quality. The entire process was quick and fun. Mike even went so far as to get the car re-inspected the morning I picked it up. There was no need; it wasn't expired. He just didn't want me to have to be concerned over anything. I can't say enough what a great experience this was. I highly recommend them. I'm looking forward to my next car purchase.....as long as I can work with Mike.

Zero‑Star Review for CarMax…read more CarMax quoted me a written offer of $2,400 for my vehicle -- an offer they confirmed in writing and tied to my VIN. My vehicle is fully registered and titled in a U.S. state, exactly as their own requirements specify. Despite that, when I arrived to complete the sale, CarMax refused to honor their own written offer and claimed they could not accept the vehicle. No explanation made sense, and none aligned with their published policies. This was a complete waste of time. I followed every instruction, brought every document, and met every requirement. CarMax still refused to honor the offer they themselves generated. A company that won't stand behind its own written appraisal is not trustworthy. Zero stars.

Therefore, I had high expectations for this car-buying experience. I would say that this is a dealership that is untraditional. They do in-house financing for consumers who have less-than-perfect credit. They don't waste any time here. You don't really shop for a car FIRST. You go in, sit down, and fill out all of the credit paperwork before you look at the selection of cars that you can afford. I really liked that. My credit was damaged due to the strain of a divorce. I actually tried to get a car loan 2 months prior to this experience and got denied. This time, I brought in a co-signer and was assured that they could help. Once we were told the paperwork that we would need to be considered, we went home and got it, then came back that same day and they delivered. I appreciated that very much because they treated us with dignity and respect. Our salesman Demetrius and our finance manager Mr. Baez were laid back and really wanted to make sure we had a good experience. Once we were given our budget, we selected the best car available that suited our needs. There was a slight mix-up over one particular car that, first, was in our budget, then wasn't, then was again after we committed to putting down $500. We got the car we wanted but this was the only slight hiccup that we experienced. All-in-all we were treated nicely by the staff, the car is perfect for us and I would recommend to anyone with less than perfect credit and a decent income to check them out. Go see Demetrius.

If you look at the pictures of my contract there is nothing pertaining to Lyft or Uber only commercial use. Which it is not. If you look at the owners response he (she?)states they don't allow it. Poor owner just responds to reviews and has no clue what's going on with their business. Scott only did his "due diligence" after realizing there is nowhere in the contract that states I cannot Uber or Lyft. I'd mark the company down because of him but it wouldn't do justice to our salesman or the service department. The great experiences have come from the service department. We bought a car and two months later noticed an issue. They took care of it. Other experience was the service department was then going to bat for us with warranty folks. Thanks, Whitten.

After retiring from the military following a 38 year career, I decided to purchase a new Ram Truck…read morein January 2025. This was going to be the third Ram that I have owned and my "retirement" gift. My wife and I went to Whitten Brothers Ram on Midlothian Turnpike and found the exact truck I wanted. A solid black 2025 Ram 1500 Rebel with all the options. After finishing up the paperwork, we went out to drive the vehicle home. I should have suspected something when we came out and the vehicle was already running but, I did not. We drove the vehicle home and that is when the problems started. A few mornings later, I came out to go to work and the truck was dead as a doornail. I had to use the manual key to open the door. I contacted my salesman, Willy, at the dealership and they towed it in. After trouble shooting, they replaced both batteries. When I went to pick the truck up from the dealership, it would not start remotely or by pushing the start button inside. I decided to leave the truck at the dealership until they could fix that problem. A few weeks later we received a call from the service manager asking us to come in for a meeting. We go in for the meeting and he proceeds to tell us that it is a "known" problem on the 2025 Ram Trucks will not start on their parking lot due to some kind of interference. The work around is to place the key fob in the back passenger side seat to start the vehicle. At this point, I just wanted the truck back and decided to go with his solution hoping that a fix would come soon. Fast forward to May 2025, while driving in traffic on Interstate 95, all lights on the dash illuminated for 1 to 2 seconds, adaptive cruise control kicked off, the dash then went totally blank for 2 to 3 seconds and slowly came back to life with the fuel gauge showing zero when there was ¾ of a tank prior to this event. I took it in for repair and they found the power wire for the left rear midrange sensor was chaffed through. They repaired the truck, and I picked it up. Unfortunately, that repair did not fix the problem. This has occurred several different times. Originally on May 23 then subsequently on June 9, June 10, June 27 and August 28, 2025. I took it into Whitten Brothers Service Department for the fourth time for this specific problem on September 12, 2025. I picked it up on October 17, 2025 and I was told that there was a software problem but they has updated it and it should be good to go. The truck worked fine until May 12 and May 14 2026, it did the exact same thing as last year except it now shifts into neutral while still driving down the highway. This causes me to have to coast to the shoulder, completely stop, shift into park and back into drive before merging back onto the highway. Throughout the year and half that I have owned this truck, it has been in the shop for well over 4 months for this problem. It has been in the service department a week for this last episode, and I do not expect it to ready anytime soon. Bottom line, I do not recommend buying a Ram Truck or any vehicle from Whitten Brothers.

What makes this situation even more frustrating is that I had already authorized and paid $40,000 for a new engine, yet the smaller components that should have been replaced while the engine was out were ignored. These parts cost very little, and I would have gladly paid for them at that time.
