Amazing! I think the other places used to be called Six Guys and one left to create an even better tasting burger. The menu is limited but that's not a problem because the burgers are good. The service good and fast. read more

Came here due to my husband seeing the reels and hearing good things. I am not a smashburger fan AT ALL but these were delicious and a small fry was more medium in serving which not complaining. Friendly and quick service even had what I believe was the owner come out and ask if everything was good and if we wanted them to redo the fries but my husband and I looked at each other then back at him like ummm there's nothing wrong with them. Place was clean. Def recommend read more

Smashers - Original smashburger smash style with lettuce and tomato added. Small cookies and cream shake and small fry - Burgers Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

My Daughter wanted to try this place out. They were very busy when we came. I went to pick up something while my daughter waited for her food. When I got back 10 minutes later she still hadn't gotten her food. So I went to the window. The person said they may have given her order to someone else. A little bummed about it. But they made her order right away and even threw in some chili cheese fries. I did get any pictures of the food because my daughter smashed it in a few minutes she said it was seasoned very well as she got a plain cheeseburger. I'll try this place again. read more

Smashers - Double combo - Burgers Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

Good burgers and fries. A fast food style burger restaurant with simple food. I didn't try a shake as pushing my bill over $20 for lunch was pushing my limit. Please beware of the many (over 20) 5 star suspect reviews. Yelp reviews from non customers are unfortunate and give customers a false impression. This is a small business which resembles 5 guys very closely. It serves almost the identical menu. I do think 5 guys pricing has gotten too high so I appreciate a bit lower price point. I applaud a young entrepreneur starting out and hope The business does well. read more

$25 for a burger, fries and a shake. I don't think it's appropriate to ask for a tip, especially having the minimum tip amount show as 15%. I also didn't appreciate the look I got for not giving a tip for taking my order. I asked for Smasher style with extra lettuce, extra tomatoes, extra pickles on my burger. Didn't get the extra. Patty was pretty bland. The burger as a whole was nothing special. Smashed Patties are no better than regular patties. The fries were limp and overly salted. The shake was too sweet. If you going to sell shakes, you need to provide the appropriate sized straws. Your straws are smaller than standard straws. UPDATE I was very impressed that both the manager and owner reached out to me and asked for another chance. I appreciated the owner took the time to listen to what I had to say. So here is my honest second review. Initially I gave the restaurant a 2 star rating because of the above. I've changed that review for the following reasons: The burger was actually very good. Honestly, tasted completely different than the first time. The patty was well seasoned and I could taste the richness of the cheese. The double patty burger is a good size as well. I'm still not a big fan of the fries but that doesn't mean others won't like it. Maybe I just don't like fresh cut fries since I'm not the biggest fan of In and Out Fries either. I did not try a shake this time. It was too sweet for me the first time and wasn't ready to try again. Maybe the other flavors aren't as sweet? I'll try another flavor next time. The main item is the burger and I thought it was good. If they continue to make all burgers the same way, they should do well. Most impressive was that they cared. Keep it up. Wish you well and maybe I'll do a third review. read more

Smashers - Second time around. Big difference! - Burgers Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

Service was good and the food came out very fast, fresh, and delicious. Probably my new favorite burger spot.

Today was my 2nd shot at trying out Smashers , this time I went in person. My grandson reordered the chopped cheese with everything and his words were last time it was a 4/10 this time I must say it was 7/10 flavor wise and presentation delish. I had smasher burger with cheese, pickles, smasher sauce and ketchup it was fresh and seasoned well, fries were fresh and cooked well over all it was a better experience from the first time read more

My wife and I just tried Smashers and it was GREAT! My wife went with the single Smasher burger and I went with the Original Smasher! We also got milkshakes one chocolate and vanilla and one strawberry milkshake. I have to say it was all delicious and the burgers with Smashers sauce is amazing. We loved we could pick our toppings including jalapeños and the fries ARE ADDICTIVE! This place is right off North Hampton BLVD by the Norfolk Outlets next to Chick-fil-A so it easy to get to. The service is SUPER FAST and the staff is very friendly. The Ambiance is amazing as well it is a nice burger spot to sit and enjoy your meal with your family or a nice little lunch or dinner. We will definitely be back soon 5 out of 5 stars! read more

I'm not sure if the young lady serving was the owner or not but she was the nicest and most customer service focused person! I would go here over and over just because of the customer service. Amazing food would highly recommend. Wonderful customer service had a great experience.

Traveling through we stopped for a quick bite to go. Great customer service - greeted at the door, offered water while we waited. Ordered the single burger, my partner ordered the original - very tasty, buns were delicious, toppings were fresh. Bathrooms were a bit messy and floor was slippery which kept me from 5 stars but the food was good and fresh! read more

i will say , for me not to have a real beef burger in years ... this was a true reminder of what i've been missing . when you first walk in, it's a pretty cozy spot , not really big. they do have outdoor seating if you want to enjoy the fresh air. but on this particular day, we decided to stay inside . i ordered the single smash burger with a side of fries . the burger was GOOD. they give you a good amount of fries, so much so i was able to share them . the service was good. i would definitely make it a point to come back again whenever im craving a burger that i know is going to be good. read more

Smashers is another of my go-to burger joints in Virginia Beach. Located at the entrance of the Norfolk Outlet Mall, Smashers burgers, fries, grilled onions and other veggie condiments, and Smasher Sauce are all fresh. Another nice compliment are the buns. They don't disintegrate while you're enjoying your burger. My wife's a Single Smashers fan and I'm an Original Smashers fan. Double angus beef patties with that awesome crust all the way 'round and that Smashers Sauce. Burger Heaven. Service is always friendly and helpful if it's your first time there. Smashers is also a great burger joint for families. Concrete floor, metal chairs and simple tables. A minivan full of little leaguers couldn't damage this place. We've enjoyed Smashers many times and have never been disappointed. read more

I had the chance to check out Smashers Burgers and Fries in Norfolk, VA, and let me tell you, Henry and his team are nailing it! From their smash burger with crispy edges to perfectly seasoned hand-cut fries, it's simple but done just right. I tried the original Smasher--2 juicy patties, smasher sauce, grilled onions, and pickles--absolute perfection. Trust me, this is one spot I've already visited again! read more

So the burger was good, if I was in the area again I would stop by if I had a hankering for the food. I don't think the service is bad but there was an instance when I asked if that was all the fries we got for a large. The cashier looked at me and gave me a side eye which could be taken two ways. It could have meant that you're right that was too little and you should get more or it could've meant yes that's all you get. Either way it was very uncomfortable. So the fry guy's answer was sure I can give you more, which was great but he only gave like 6 pieces of fries. For 4.99 for fries I'm expecting more than a kids fries, it felt very stingy. Hopefully next time we can get a little more than a kid size serving. read more

I love this place and the manager and staff is amazing and you can right off the top tell that they were raised by amazing parents!!! One of the best burgers I have had. If you like Five Guys, this is a lot better. Very well seasoned burgers & handmade boardwalk fries is the way to go!! read more

A carbon copy of Five Guys. As soon as you walk in it smells exactly the same, the menu looks exactly the same, the prices are pretty high/the same- minus the free peanuts. Upon order to delivery of said order took over 20minutes. We almost thought our order was lost in transit by how long it took them to get it out. The place looked fully staffed with at least 4 people in the back. They need to add an intercom for calling out orders, they play music, combined with the fans(a welcome respite from the heat) means employees have to shout at the top of their lungs to be heard over the noise. Once the food comes though, all issues are acceptable because this place is quite tasty and a notch above five guys! The portion size of the original smash burger is very large and combined with fries should satisfy almost all palates. Overall, I was left with good feelings on my first and not last trip to Smashburger. read more

Smashers - Smashers in Norfolk VA - Burgers Near Me - Norfolk, Virginia

Ate here today based on the recommendation of the front desk person at Hilton hotel in the same parking lot. It was 1pm not overly crowded. Food is cooked to order. Had the single smash with small fry. $13. The meal was tasty. The burger was seasoned and had a good soft texture. Not crispy like most other smash burgers I've had. Not sure if that is by design. The bun was likely brioche, soft and fresh. I liked shoe string fries. The two downsides were they were all 1 inch long and overly salty. I was even warned by the hotel person that the fries were salty, but I like them that way. But this was over salted. Next time light salt. If I stay at the Hilton I will be back. If I were the mgmt I'd give the hotel staff a discount to point folks that way. Maybe give a paper coupon for a $1 off for guests or show their hotel key card read more
