We were excited to visit Smash'd after its reopening following several months of closure. We ordered a cheeseburger, onion rings, and fries. The brioche bun was fresh and soft. However, the burger itself was disappointing. While the pictures show a smash patty overflowing from the bun, our patties were very thin and only as large as the small bun, though they were still tasty. The fries were soggy instead of crispy. On the bright side, the panko-crusted onion rings were excellent--crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. We also enjoyed very cold beer. The food was actually great. I ordered the Dlux Smash'd Burger. The style of fries that come with the burger are my favorite. What is disappointing is their online menu is misleading. The picture shows the burger comes with 2 patties, so it makes sense to assume that's how its served. I realized when it was brought to me it only came with one patty. I brought it to the bartenders attention and she said it only comes with 1 patty and it's an upcharge to get 2. Would give zero stars if possible. We were waiting in line to order at the bar for food. The bartender asked if I was sitting inside or outside. I pointed and said inside at my spouse. He said "go ahead and sit down and I'll come get your order at the table". Ok great, I go sit down and proceed to watch him take 25 people's orders that keep walking in the door.
