Really nice burger spot by Broadway East area just north of the Pearl. We tried the fajita burger bc it says that's their award winner and the Hawaiian bc we love grilled pineapple. Both burgers were unique and full of flavor! Nothing bland here. The onion rings were really crispy and the sweet potato fries were delicious. There's only 3 or 4 tables inside it is really small but a huge patio if the weather is good. Counter service for ordering and they do come around to pick up eats and clean up tables. read more

Finally got a chance to try Smash'd and let me tell you..it was absolutely satisfying and super good. Customer Service A+, The vibes A+ and the Food definitely an A+. We ordered the classic burger and fries but one fry was substituted for Sweet Potato Fries. We wanted to see which fry was the best and honestly they both are great, hard to choose one over the other so I guess it depends on what mood you're in. The buns on the burgers were super soft, just like I like it and though the burger looks small it's super filling and it comes stacked but I'm a picky eater so I removed some things BUT I still enjoyed everything. You have the choice to sit inside or outside but heads up... The inside does get crowded because it is a bit small so keep that in mind. They also have a bar you can also sit at as well, so if you want that special juice have at it lol. There's so much I wanted to try but there's always next time. Parking: parking is tough around here . There is parking on the street and they also have a little parking area behind them. Depending on when you come, parking may not be an issue. Food: I got the Southwest Smash'd burger and it comes with seasoned fries. Fountain drinks are from "Main Root". The burger was ok. I was expecting some spice but there was none. The buns were good, had a mild sweetness to them. I imagine if the burger had some kick, the sweetness of the bun would have definitely gone together well. The fries came with the burger, were nice and crisp but you didn't get many. Service: It may have been the specific time I came (2:30 on a Sunday) but the servers seemed a bit harried. I walked up to the bar and the bartender answered my questions but he looked rather flustered. The food took a bit long to come out. Once I received my food, a waitress did come check on me. I asked her for some condiments. She forgot to bring them, so the next time I saw her I reminded her. She was very apologetic though and seemed sincere. I personally don't like sugar on my fries so I do not get the special seasoning but the fries are great nonetheless. There is not a lot of fries that come with your burger but it's a serviceable amount so you get full off the burger and not the fries. Never been here so we figured we'd give it a shot on a Friday night. The seating is all outdoor but even on the warm day today was, the shades and fans keep the air moving. There was a live band playing which was a big bonus! When we ordered the staff member taking orders was very pleasant and offered a few suggestions for sandwiches. We started with the chips and queso. They were the only disappointing part of the meal. They came with a LOT of chips and a LITTLE cup (see the attached picture) of queso. The ratio was waaayyy off. When I asked the server if we could get more queso they politely apologized and said that they do not do refills. Not a big deal, but definitely not pleased either. About a minute later someone came out with another cup of queso - which definitely was appreciated and showed they take comments to heart! I ordered the Southwestern Smash'd - jalapeño cheddar bun, southwest seasoning, pepper jack cheese, fresh guacamole, roasted jalapeño aioli and grilled onions. I had a double. It was very good - both my wife and I liked it - I'd order it again. The sandwiches don't come with fries, so I ordered some seasoned fries - they were very good and crispy! My wife ordered the Buffalo Chicken Smash'd, which is supposed to be a brioche bun, Buffalo sauce, blue cheese crumbles, homemade pickles and creamy ranch slaw. The downside - if there was buffalo sauce on this sandwich it was well hidden - zero Buffalo flavor. The good news - though not a Buffalo chicken sandwich, it was actually a good sandwich - just a bit disappointed on the lack of Buffalo flavor. Overall, pretty good. If I could rate 0 stars I would. My bf who was excited about these burgers we stopped at 830ish. We were offered water and menus then as we watched our sever accomdate other people for 15 mins. Realized they might be racist two young woman white and woman of color. as a woman of color Mexican black as well as the bartender/ servers whatever should be. as the doors opened to the kitchen we see the chef looked all sweaty and really unhygienic. We went looking for a chill place to grab some food after my son's college graduation... he found it on Apple Maps. I was skeptical at first, I didn't like that I had to pay for parking, maybe there was free parking but we didn't look or ask- so that's on me. I also didn't like that I had to pour my own sweet tea. Maybe that's just the way it is here, as I saw self pour taps outside. Those are the only two things I didn't like. Not too bad. Why the 5 star review? I'd give 6 if I could. Their tag line is good food good people, great times. And that's exactly what we experience. There were 8 of us and it was hot outside. 6 sat at a high bar table- and my wife and I sat at the bar. She had a carne guisada burrito, I had the buffalo chicken burrito/ fries and we shared some fried pickle spears. Literally every bite was delicious. We all left super stuffed and took naps when we got home. Happy family = happy man that gives great reviews. Let me get to the staff- a long haired man, and another guy with glasses tended to us at the bar- super friendly but not overly fake. Everything seemed authentic- chill and was done with a servant heart. Thank you for kind staff. Even the young lady who handed us the tray checked on us later. Here's the cherry on top.
