Went there on Saturday because I was going to Trader Joes to do some shopping. Decided to give it a try instead of going to Panera. Ordered a BBQ Bacon Cheese burger and fries. DRY DRY DRY got this dry burger with no visible signs of the BBQ sauce only to be told it was under the cheese...not much there either. I did get extra sauce for the burger but it did not help the dry patty. 5 Guys they know how to have a nice juicy burger, Smashburger needs to learn that. The fries are shoe string and were again very dry like they were a sitting out and it was not like it was fresh made. Over all the food was yummy. The burger didn't disappoint, I got the Rhode Island hold the red relish (to spicy for me!). All ingredients looked and tasted very fresh! .... On the other hand the fries left much to be desired, to crunchy shoe strings and not much flavor. I have been waiting to try this place for some time. Tucked away in the trader Joe plaza on rt 2. I ordered the original with the seasoned fries. The fries were shoestring which I love and seasoned to perfection. I got the regular size burger which was fine for me perfectly cooked and seasoned . I also ordered the vegetable side string beans and carrots. Par fried and dip was a ranch which was awesome. Best part was the shake! Omg, Hagen Daz ice cream shake. So thick and tasty I must say that was my favorite as I love ice cream. This is a well worth your dining pleasure. Two people 30$ and we tried and ate so much I was busting! The inside is comfortable and they have outside dining as well yet it's right on the parking lot which is very busy so we sat inside. Love restaurants when they use quality ingredients! Possibly the best burger in RI, meat are juicy and adequately spiced. I got the Avocado Club Smash Burger, and it's freaking awesome! Spiced fries have a kick, but a tad bit salty Imo. My lady is usually picky about meat, but she stated that the classic chicken (grilled) is well cooked and juicy as well. I ordered the brisket bacon burger and it was so disgusting. The brisket was so thick it was ridiculous and was not the real brisket which is cooked on the bbq grill. Came here for the first time after our Yelp! Elite event earlier this spring and I knew exactly what I was getting - that chocolate Oreo shake! There was a line nearly to the door when I arrived, but i got to the front of it in five minutes, which was impressive. My shake only took another two minutes after that. I overheard the cashier mention that he'd only worked there for four months, but he seemed to be a pro! If I had room for a burger, I absolutely would have grabbed the truffle mushroom Swiss, which is my favourite, and which I'm glad they offer in both a smaller and larger size. Awesome find! Had never heard of the spot but after a hungover morning, the word burger drew us in. I got an awesome black bean burger topped with japlenos, chipotle aioli, guacamole on a chipotle bun and my fiancé got the same thing as a crispy chicken sandwich, they were both amazing! Next time we will be definitely getting a burger. The sweet potato fries were decent tossed in a rosemary oil. Highly recommend giving this place a try. There is such an amazing menu, but by chance if you don't see exactly what you want, you can create your own!! I absolutely positively love cheeseburgers and I wanted to love this place. the first time I went I did like it wasn't a fan of the way they do their french fries the really thin and whatever the seasoning was on it and I didn't like it also they had a larger selection of milkshakes. the second time we went the milkshake selection changed. We got the fried pickles instead of french fries they weren't that great. For how much you pay for everything the serving sizes for everything were quite small. was a cool place to try something new but if I'm gonna go for a burger meal nothing can replace my five guys. Only just noticed this new burger joint on Route 2 during a recent visit to Trader Joes. We were hungry for lunch so we decided to give Smashburger a try. We ordered a large size of Smash fries to start and various sandwiches. The fries were the biggest hit, we all loved the olive oil and rosemary. I had the avocado club - I was impressed with the large, fresh slices of avocado. My family seemed to enjoy their burgers and chicken sandwich. The service was fast and friendly. I had been here a few times and enjoyed it. I don't eat meat and the black burger is fairly flavorful and tasty. However a cashier recently told me that the fries are fried in beef fat, which I know is a common practice but many other fast food places have switched to a vegetable based oil instead. I was really disappointed by that as well as learning that there are shared stovetops which means my black bean burger was probably cooked on top of a beef burger, which again I understand is common practice but will probably cause me to not eat here again. Wandered inside, first off upon entering the establishment, you kind of get walled into a line that makes it so you have to order before finding a take-out menu, table, what if you need to use the restroom prior to ordering? Ordered a truffle mushroom swiss for me and a side of veggie frites plus a cheddar bacon burger for my girlfriend. It seems all burgers are cooked mid-well. There was some juice to the burgers, no red..I didn't come away with the "dry" feeling as other reviews, but the patty itself was your standard pre-formed frozen angus. Nothing to write home about, the frites were greasy, not crispy. The atmosphere and service were better than fast-food, better than 5 guys. Earns a star, good attitude from staff was good to see. Basically if I didn't get the $5 off, I would've been more disappointed. But I will say, go out to a franchise sit-down joint and you will pay $12 for the same burger. Very disappointed I understand that sometimes orders get mixed up but here's your feed back placed an order online came into the restaurant and was told my order will be ready in a few minutes not so I had to wait a full 30 minutes to get my food and while I waited with several other customers who were also waiting for their online orders not one person who worked there talked to us to let us know that there was a mixup with the orders and that we would be waiting a lot longer than 10 minutes. My shake that they made once I got there was melting right in front of me and still no communication on their part to a customer who was waiting for an online order. Then once they gave me my food all I got as to why it took so long was there was a mixup okay cool understand shit happens but then why explain to my food was cold both sandwiches were cold my fries and Brussels sprouts were cold. So what was the mix up with my order why was the food cold. Sucks because I eat here a lot but since they reopened their service has gotten worse this is now the second time I was disappointed with my order the first was I came in with a friend we ordered at the same time and yet his food came first and by the time they brought me my food he had finished eating yup that's right I had to wait a full 15 minutes before they gave me my food while the person who ordered with me ate their food and finished. I like the angus beef and veggie fries and salads, the ambience is a little more upscale than the usual fast food. It's loud and I wish they had diet soda in bottles but the quality of the food is top notch. Service is always really fast and polite.
