Absolutely horrible, they couldn't take the order correctly. The lady who took the order was very rude when I pointed her that she didn't take the order correctly. Anyone who has had a smash burger knows they're incredible. Super high quality ingredients and always fresh and hot. The fries you ask.... BOMB!!!!! This particular location really stands out as they have always had great service but today's customer experience really takes the cake!! I was so excited to order my favorite side... fried pickles... upon ordering the young lady taking my order told me they had recently been taken off the menu. I was clearly devastated. After ordering my second favorite side, the smash fries, and getting my order a nice gentleman who could only be nicknamed "big red" came over and this gentle asked "excuse me ma'am?" As I looked up he handed over a little portion cup overflowing with fried pickles!!! I was so grateful and thanked him for his kindness. I have to tell you these were the BEST fried pickles I had ever had. Not only because these guys do them right but because it was truly an act of incredible customer service. I could not be more thrilled!! Someone needs to promote this gentle giant because he is best in class when it Comes to being a quality human being. As for you Smashburger... bring back those pickles!!!!! read more

I thought this place was pretty good, fast and very friendly service, everything al a carte, shoe string fries were good, but my only problem was they were not hot, little above room temp, burger was good I had the cowboy with bbq sauce, onion strings, grilled jalepeño, and cheese; they don't toast their buns which some people don't like, personally it doesn't matter to me. Couple beers and small single serve bottles of wine. Overall it was a pretty good place, I won't be rushing back but still overall not a bad experience. read more

Well good news its better then Red Robin. I really lectured the staff on gluten free because the website really suggests not to eat there if you have a gluten allergy. When I did talk to a manager he really went over everything well with me and they did take extra precaution in making my meal. My burger was decent I got it with lettuce and tomato. The one item I just didn't like here was the smash fries it's a different take on fries I just wasn't feeling it the taste wasn't there in my opinion I was better off getting regular fries. I will close on a positive note I thought the iced tea was really good make sure to get it sweeten. read more

Stopped by on whim while shopping with the wife and kids. Went around 11:30 on a weekday. No line and the staff was very friendly and helpful with the ordering. The food tasted fresh and the order was accurate. My little one actually the chicken tenders which is a big endorsement from him. Love the smash fries and burgers! Smash fries are seasoned with olive oil, garlic and a little Rosemary - thin cut and crispy. Waaaay better than Five Guys. Finally checked this place out Sunday. Service was awesome! Girl behind the counter was super friendly and helpful! People were right on top of clearing away dishes etc.We ordered a burger, a chicken sandwich, sweet potato fries and a shake. The chicken sandwich was great! Actually edible real grilled chicken. Great toppings. Fries were thin cut but good. Shake was good. The burgers toppings etc were very good. By the actual meat of the burger was Burger King thin. Not much to talk about there. All in all I won't rush back but enough good stuff to make me return. read more

First time eating here a couple days ago and it was great! It was very similar to five guys but they also sold bottled beers! I forgot what the burger I got was called, but it was spicy with Jalapeños, guacamole, pepperjack cheese and a spicy chipotle bun - but regardless it was delicious! I also ordered some fried pickles and spicy buffalo fries, the pickles were ok, just a plain batter but I was obsessed with the fries. We took them to go and even though I was full, I was still munching on them on the ride home. Will definitely be coming back soon. read more

I had seen Smashburger on Facebook and wanted to try it with my husband and daughter. We all thought the burgers were delicious..fresh,hot and fast!! I'm a steak fry girl and the fries were to thin for my liking. The shakes however were fantastic!! The only complaint I have was the pricetag. $45 for 3 burgers..3 fries 2 shakes and a soda..way to pricey. I would come back if I'm in the mood for a really good burger...and would need some overtime in my paycheck to pay the bill:) read more

This place sort of blended into the landscape of all the other burger places for me, but I was at Trader Joe's and wanted a quick lunch, so I checked it out on a recommendation from a friend. I was really happy with all the options they had for toppings and the fact that chicken seemed to be just as important there as burgers. My make your own chicken sandwich was delish, although all my choices except the dressing were extra money (at least cheese should come included...). I got American cheese, haystack onions, avocado, and ranch dressing. My biggest complaint is that for 1.75 I got four of the world's smallest slices of avocado... Maybe about an eighth of an avocado altogether? I'm thinking it was more a lazy chef than anything else, since I'm seeing very avocado-full pictures on yelp. My mom really enjoyed her truffle chicken sandwich, and my son was in love with his fries, although not the biggest fan of his hot dog. He kept telling me it was 'hot'. When I tried a piece it had sort of a smokey flavor to it, which is a bit of an odd choice for an item that's pretty exclusively used on the kids menu. My first time trying Smashburger. Pricey is not understatement. The burger was good I had the avocado club. It was the size of a wendys burger. Nothing over the top. The fried pickles. Ugh salty disgustingness. There is one register for a line of people. It moves quickly but still a Saturday afternoon expect the volume and have more open. Gloves. ...what gloves? The people bringing the food to packing it up, nothing. The aa me woman cleaned the tables proceeds to go handle food with no gloves. Gross! I tried it but won't be back. read more

Just stopped here for the first time yesterday. The menu focuses on hamburgers, as the name implies, but they also offer chicken sandwiches, and turkey burgers. Burgers come in 3 sizes (kiddie, regular, and large). Choose a selection from the menu, or create your own from a list of available toppings. As you might suspect by the the name, they start with a ball of fresh ground beef, and then SMASH it flat before cooking. The result is a thin, juicy, delicious burger patty. I personally hate burgers that are too thick, so this worked for me. Also, what's a burger's best friend? Why, french fries, of course. Smashburger serves thin-cut shoestring fries, either plain, "smash fries", tossed in olive oil, rosemary, and garlic, or "spicy buffalo fries",with Frank's Red Hot sauce, and ranch for dipping. Sweet potato fries, onion rings, and "veggie fries" (green beans and carrot sticks, flash fried) are also an option. In case burgers aren't your thing, or you're trying to eat healthy, they also have salad They have a kids menu that offers kid sized burgers, hot dogs, chicken strips, or a grilled cheese sandwich..To drink, they offer Coca-Cola soda products, bottled water, and hand crafted milkshakes in the following flavors: chocolate, vanilla, strawberry, Oreo, chocolate Oreo, Butterfinger, and salted caramel. Beer and wine are also available. I came here to eat lunch with my mother. I ordered a regular hamburger with bacon, pickles, and Frank's Red Hot sauce. She had a regular burger with just lettuce and tomato. We split a regular fry. To drink, I had a strawberry shake, she had bottled water. The bill came to over $26! I'd expect that at a fancier restaurant, but for burgers and fries, that's a bit much. Price aside, the burgers were tasty, staff were friendly, and the restaurant was easy to find. We stopped in this afternoon for 2 classic burgers and 1 order of fries. Very busy, which is generally a good sign of good food, so we asked how long the wait would be before ordering. Told 10 minutes we decided to order. At the 20 minute mark and with 3 customers waiting who were ahead of us in ordering, I casually mentioned to the person serving that we had been waiting 20 minutes and he just said "everyone is waiting" as he walked by. At the 30 minute mark and the crowd thinning a bit, we were still not seeing our order appear, so we decided to ask for a refund and left. There are a lot of good burger places in RI. Service and organization skills in this place are in need of help. It's a burger and fries, folks! read more

If they didn't make my order wrong every time, I would come back but getting the wrong food repeatedly is tiring so I probably won't return. Came here for the first time on a Sunday, not too busy but there were a good amount of people in the restaurant. Boyfriend and I got the avocado club chicken sandwich (which I substituted extra avocado in place of bacon and still paid an extra $1.29 charge for) and bacon cheeseburger with buffalo fries, fried pickles and a large fry to take home. Both sandwiches reminded us of fast food and fried pickles tastes like salt, salt, and more salt. Buffalo fries looked like they had been sprinkled with some spicy powder and not made any differently. Fries were good but pretty thin and got soggy quickly. Few other things that didn't seem right for a non fast food burger joint were that they didn't ask how we wanted our burger cooked, the woman packing the bags didn't feel the need to wear any gloves while packing open containers of fries, and the prices were steep for something that tasted like what I could get for $3 at Wendy's. First time at Smash Burger. It was very clean and welcoming. However, I probably will choose a sit down restaurant next time. This place is expensive. The burgers are good but no burger is worth the price they ask. Also, things like fries don't come with the burgers. These people really know how to maximize profit margins. Came here Sunday at 5pm - wasn't too busy and ordered a reg burger, reg fries and shake to go. Took about 10 min to get my order. When I opened the bag in my car, fries were cold, received the wrong type of shake (it was still good) and the bacon I paid to be added was not on there. Good food with some healthy options for a decent price. But one thing drives me nuts- the salad bowls. They have a small base and large top. Almost like a cone. It's impossible to mix up a salad or cut up chicken. Any attempt to do so will result in the bowl toppling over and food flying all over the place. They obviously did zero product testing because this would have been noticed immediately. Such a dumb choice. Please get normal bowls. read more

This was my first time trying Smashburger and would definitely try them again. I tried the regular smashburger fries and a vanilla shake .  I have to say it's a better burger than Red Robin and Johnny Rockets. The place is a little cramped but clean. read more
