Came here for lunch during the national cheeseburger day where they had deals on their burgers. The place is fairly big and has plenty of seating and is clean. I placed my order online and when I arrived the food was ready. I ordered their regular burger and smash fries. The burger was actually pretty good. It probably was cooked well done but it still was juicy enough for me It's decent size, cooked well, nice toppings, and the bun was good. The fries were well seasoned and tasted good. But, for me, the texture was slightly off. It wasn't bad but just wasn't something I was particularly fond of. For a fast casual place, this isn't a bad option. It might not be my favorite burger spot but it's worth checking out.

I always find Smashburger to be on the greasier side. The floor here has a layer of grease, get ready to slide around. But what has me coming here once or twice a year is their Truffle Mushroom Swiss Burger with Egg. I'm not a huge burger fan but throw these two ingredients on top and I almost forget that I'm eating one. I only come here for this along with their delicious SmashFries so I can't comment on their other items. The meat is juicy and the bun is nice and soft. I've also had their Brussels sprouts and I found it awfully greasy. I didn't feel healthy eating them. Service here comes without a smile. After placing your order, they will give you a number to take to your table. One of the workers will come and bring your food to you. That also comes without a smile. Still, I give an enthusiastic THANK YOU!! Cause you know, I'm nice. I favor the Smashburger at the East Brunswick location more. Much friendlier service and the floor is much cleaner.

I love this place. They are consistently lovely. Polite and friendly and they get the order right every time. They are very kind to my 21 year old daughter with special needs. The place is clean too. I highly recommend the Brussel sprouts. The Cobb salad rocks.

Smashburger is just ok in the realm of fast casual burger joints. The overall quality of burger and fries was not on my favorites list. They serve shoestring fries and by the time we got them they were cold and soggy. The burger patty is on the thin side but I did enjoy the chipotle style toppings. We also ordered the Brussels sprouts and smash tots. Both were just ok bordering on the greasy side. I am going to think twice before coming back.

Damn! This old version camera really sucks!!! But don't go by that. Burger was awesome!!

Smashing! YEAHHH !!! Definitely better than the one that has wine in the name. I won't name any names! ;-) Burgers are bloody delicious !! Jalapeños are fresh not pickled! And..annnnd, rosemary / garlic fries are fantastic! I don't fries as much, but this I would hands down. I thought chipotle bun option was a nice touch! Honestly- When you're in a burger mood, give this place a whirl! It is great! Ok....That's all I got! Not as epic, but I did say burgers are delicious! Peace,

When your in the mood for a burger but you dont eat beef or chicken it's hard to satisfy your craving. However Smash Burger's blackbean burger is so delicious that even carnivores will enjoy it too.

In the ever increasing world of burger chains, SmashBurger has entered the ring. I have been to many of the rest, but until now have I missed the best? Well, no not exactly. They serve up a decent burger, with a patty that is more on the thin side, as opposed to Zin Burger, Bobby's Burger Palace, etc. The fries are also of the thin breed and reminded me of a better version of McDonald's fries. The staff is friendly, the food is made to order, and the restaurant is clean. The lack of stars come from the prices. Although the burger was good, I feel like you can get the same quality at Wendy's for a fraction of the price. I also got the "Big Smash" burger with fries and didn't exactly feel full after finishing. For nearly $10, there are many other burger chains that I would come back to before returning to Smash. I will go as far as saying, that this isn't a bad place if you are trying to watch "how much" you eat. Otherwise, don't expect a great bang for your buck.

I ordered from the online menu for the harvest salad. I ordered it without the cheese. It was supposed to include raisins, dried cranberries, sunflower and pumpkin seeds. Got the salad with no nuts or cranberries, so I called and was told they don't sell the salad with those anymore. So I got a bowl of mixed greens with 3 slices of horrible winter tomato for $7.09. It was about 6 mouthfuls and gone. Wow, that's some huge food markup!! Mark this location off my list.

If you're not going to read to understand then this review ain't for you…read more I've been to the new Freddy's 4 times and I've waited to review it until I could figure out what was needling me. I got it. I used to pass the one in Linden and was psyched to see one finally make it down our way. Me and hus went soon after they opened and got a burger fries chicken and onion rings. During the initial days they served these matchstick potato sticks. HATED IT. Food was OK but not great. No biggie - it was new. Went back on my own to try the lemon custard one night. My acid reflux said NO MAAM so I got to enjoy it going down - and coming back up. It was good though lol. Me and hus went back a few months later - almost same order as before. Dang near $35. Mind you we coulda gone 2 miles down the road to Chilis or across the street to Shake Shack for the same price and better food. Last week I got a message that it was "national steak burger day." Lmaaoooo I love when niche restaurants and hobbyists make their own day. To celebrate, their burgers were only $1. This was actually the motivation I needed to break through the massive 4ft snow and ice mound township contractors placed at the foot of our driveway. 2 hours later I'm at Freddy's getting a double burger for $1. I finally cracked the code!! Freddys is good - it's just overpriced. And I'm saying that with love. Fast food in general is horrifically priced right now but I felt this way a year, year and a half ago about Freddy's. If the price point was $3 lower for a combo the juice would be worth the squeeze. I realize this may not be possible - please place your pitchforks down. Pros: The restaurant is always sparkling clean Friendly employees Fast and efficient pick up Food is good immediately and after a 20 minute drive home Amazing rewards - USE THE APP for savings. Verdict: the food has improved greatly since the early days. The concept is classic culinary Americana - burgers and shakes. It's just too much money for what you get. I'd go back as lit. As I can leverage my app rewards. Can't do it at full price.

I wanted to visit this place a few times before writing the review…read more On my first visit I ordered their famous Prime Rib Steakburger which was really good. On my second visit I got the California Style burger and the moment I took a huge bite, I knew it would be my go-to. I kid you not, it reminds of In-N-Out Burger. This is as close as it gets for us East Coast folks. It comes with lettuce, tomatoes, onions and the orange sauce is what does it for me. It's very similar to In-N-Out's secret sauce. The only gripe I have is that I wish they give you an option to order a single patty. Sometimes a double patty is too much for a tiny gal like me. I also can't resist their shoestring fries and onion rings. Fries are seasoned perfectly and the batter on the rings are nice and golden. The 4-5 star reviews speak for itself. I have yet to try their shakes only because I am lactose intolerant but it sure looks yummy. Service is nice!

I just wish there was something fresh or crunchy to balance out all the soft textures from the bread, beef patty, and cheese. I also added beef bacon to my burger, even though it's not listed as an add on the menu. I really wish more of these newer smashburger restaurants had lettuce and/or tomatoes as an add on topping. I walked in on a rainy Friday night shortly after 10pm and it was freezing cold on the inside. Shreya was working the register and was extremely present and nice to speak with. I asked for her recommendations and of course she suggested the burger. I took her up on that option and ordered a bacon cheeseburger. She said the fries were also a must. I was extremely hungry, so I also ordered the Chicken Club Burger, crispy instead of grilled. She asked me if there was anything else I needed and I jokingly said a side of heat. She checked with the other patrons inside to see if they were cold along with Jenn who was working and they concurred as well. Within minutes she was on the phone with the owner who quickly addressed the issue by cutting on the heat. A few moments and I could tell things were warming up. Now onto the food. Everything was hot. The burger was delicious, but nothing was too special. The fries were seasoned well and had a spicy sauce to go with them. The Fried Chicken club was AMAZING! By far the biggest chicken sandwich I had ever eaten. The chicken was juicy. I could taste the cheese and the bacon. The chicken was way bigger than the bun. I wish I had ordered two. Overall I had a fabulous time here. The seating area was clean. Customer service was excellent. They made sure I was taken care of. The food is good. If I'm in the area again id definitely stop by.

Some might say too much time. Some might say. So I just typically avoid the area because it brings back so much...stuff. When it transitioned to Stateside sometime during the early days of the pandemic we did get take out once and it was delicious - I still dream about the Brussels sprouts. But it was a bit expensive when everyone was dying and all. Like am I really gonna risk my life for $16 sprouts? I think not. Now I think it's under new - new management. My cousin stopped by there about a month ago when she was in the area and gave it great reviews. I was feeling A Kind of Way a couple of weekends ago and just really wanted a cold beer. So me and huzzo stopped in. Service was good and beer was solid. This week I wanted another beer. Blame your president as he insists upon annihilating everyone and sending our collective pressure through the roof. We arrived about 20 minutes before the end of Happy Hour and snagged a couple of beers as well as wings and a shrimp quesadilla. The food was great but the service was the real stunner. I found myself stuck between two beers and the bartender suggested Arnold Palmering it and going halfsies on both. Fantastic decision - the mixed drink was refreshing and tart without being too pedestrian or too far afield. Food came out quickly and deliciously. Saved $15 on food prices alone during Happy Hour. Fat things: The bar stools are excellent - steel with a wide seat and a foot bar so your legs don't fall asleep. And they don't pack too many of them in so it's easy to get into and out of your seat without bumping someone else. Other stuff: They have regular indoor seating and an outdoor seating area on the side with couches, high table, and heat lamps. Overall, the space is open, airy, bright, and clean. It's pretty packed when the temps warm up but shoulder season is very nice for us right now. Be advised: Regular menu prices still seem steep - like everything else these days. But the food is good and they have a very nice craft beer selection. If you can't make happy hour and are looking to treat yourself this might be it. We'll def return!
