5guys has the Best franchise burger in my opinion . Service was good , but being able to enjoy some complimentary peanuts while waiting for your food order is the best part . The place was quiet and just a few guest., an employee swept and whipped the tables keeping the dining room clean and up to par, great to see... will be back!! read more

It's no secret that Five Guys is my favorite burger. I can't be within a mile of one without having to stop for a little burger. However, the prices have gotten so outrageous in the last couple years that I've had to curb my desire for these delicious burgers. That and the fact that I won't eat fries that are fried in vegetable oils anymore has FG overall less appealing. read more

Tried again. . Still stingy with the French fries. Everything I see says five guys is supposed to go overboard with the french fries that's why they charge so much for their food. Nobody told the North Brunswick store that. Their undercooked fries suck anyway. Prices are too high for a mediocre burger and substandard fries. I'm done read more

Burgers were tasteless, dry, fries were very good, fresh and crispy, service was very good, ambiance was good and clean.

I don't know. On the one hand the burgers are decent but when all is said and done, just a burger, drink and fries pushing 15 bucks? I think I pay as much at ShakeShack but that's a whole different review. Across route 1, there is a smash burger. Started off this review as a 2 star but bumped it up to a third star. It was a good burger but just that.. the prices... and I don't usually care as this is mostly about the quality but... it has reached that threshold... Burger was kinda smushed to the point of not being appetizing. Fries were a little on the soggy side but still pretty decent... for the eatable pieces. Lots of little bits that just were of like skin. Did i somehow get the bottom bits? They were generous but still. Service was good, order taken quickly and there was a feeling of hustle in the air. read more

Will keep it short and first say that the young man who took our order the other young men behind the counter were very courteous. The wait time is painful. We were actually there before noon. There were two gentlemen sitting outside at a table waiting their order - and no one else. We ordered (2) hot dogs and (2) fountain drinks. We were handed (2) cups to fill our drinks and when I pulled my cup away from the ice dispenser- there was a bug in my cup. I walked it back to the counter, pushed it towards the folks behind the counter to give them and said I'm going to need a new cup. The female didn't apologize for this, she just told me I had to take it back and put in the trash. She couldn't have it back there. Then she walked away. We waited more than 20 minutes for (2) hot dogs! Not worth the wait. In addition to the bug, I have included a few photos of the front door. It's appalling- filthy. I had no desire to proceed but I was with someone who was intent on having a hot dog and so we did. Honestly would be interested in knowing the cleanliness grade here. read more

My burger and strawberry banana shake with whipped cream was delicious. Worth another shot.

Five Guys has a very simple interior along with a simple menu, but I've never had a bad experience. If I'm really craving a burger or milkshake, this is for sure one of my go-to places. The Little Bacon Cheeseburger with all the toppings has never done me wrong and is very filling on its own! The patty is perfectly juicy and never too chewy. Honestly, even the grilled cheese is poppin, though I wouldn't really order that here. The fries are okay, and on the same par as those from Wendy's. There's no special seasoning or way it's cooked. I'd rather just stock up on the free peanuts while I wait for my burger! To combat the saltiness of the peanuts and the greasiness of the burger, the milkshakes are there to help! I stick to my usual flavors of Peanut Butter or Cookies and Cream. The thickness is good, I can easily drink it and it's not liquid milk. They are kinda pricey, but you get a good amount. Overall, a solid burger chain that I can count on for those cravings! read more

Went on opening weekend around 7:30pm w/ 7 people. Line was long but still ordered and got food in ~25 min. Burgers were mis-labeled but assembled correctly. Cajun fries were loaded with paprika. I'd stick with plain. Outdoor seating a +. Lives up to all my previous Five Guys experiences. Good fries, gold peak iced tea, juicy burgers loaded with toppings. Super happy to have a Five Guys in the area! read more

Fast service, and friendly cashiers/staff. The guy hanging us the bags of food when the order was ready either smiled, or even dipped his head whenever a customer picked up the food. Thought it was very sweet and cute! The food was pretty standard, as per the chain. Thick fries, on the softer side, and plenty of grease, with just the right amount of salt/spice. My small burger was a bit squished from their wrapping, but all the toppings were balanced, so each bite had tons of flavor! Plenty of napkins and ketchup from the dispenser. Hate if either of those items ran out! Fast service, waited less than 10 mins for the food, IF that. Like the location in the shopping center and would definitely come back when in the area. read more

Q: How many guys does it take to make a burger? A: Five guys..hehe get it? The place is nice and I love the fact you can see them cooking and making your burger. Cajun fries spice a litte strong for my taste but I like it all the same. The burger is a good burger and cooked well. I also Like the idea that they have peanuts for yout to munch on while waiting for the burger, Id rather wait for a newly cooked burger than get one thats been sitting in a heat lamp. read more

I didn't think you would be able to mess up a cheeseburger, but they managed to do that. You may ask, how could they mess that up?? By forgetting to put the cheese on i literally ordered a CHEESEburger. Not to mention ordering from them the night prior and they completely didn't include my vanilla milkshake. I don't even know why i ordered from them again tonight. Called them to tell them to be a little bit more attentive and they couldn't be more rude. Actually pathetic don't even bother ordering here they don't care about u or or food read more

Sorry, I don't like it. Overpriced: like $12 or $13 for a burger, fries, and drink! Why?!? Food: yes, the fries are great ... but the burger tastes like something I could cook at home (not in a good way). Also the bun got soggy and kinda fell apart. Atmosphere: less attractive than eating at McDonalds. The tables and chairs are cheap, uncomfortable (for me) and they don't even have any soft booths (like SmashBurger across the way). Clientele: a third of the people in here are teenage boys, which is probably their market. Music: they played a hybrid of country and soft rock ... which isn't my style. I mean, it would be cool really went all-out with the country atmosphere (they also have free peanuts) ... but right now it's just generic in a bad way. Verdict: come for the fries, and nothing else. read more

I've had Five Guys in multiple locations. This is by far the worst one! Been to this location 3 separate times with at least a year between, and they NEVER get my order right! They ALWAYS forget to put things on the burgers, they ALWAYS forget at least 1 item I have paid for if not, more than 1, and when I request the items they ALL look like deer in headlights! read more

Finally, SO and I had dinner (take-away but still) from Five Guys; something we've been wanting to do since it's opened right next door to us a couple of months ago and since my best friend is from the NoVA area, we've heard good things about this chain. We came in hungry! So, we went a little bit later, around 8pm on Monday evening, and we did not have to wait long. Our counter guy- I wish I got his name, because he was soooooo nice (older African-American gentleman) and was super patient with SO as sometimes he is spacey when ordering food! He rung us up mighty quick and we waited for our food. Our food did take a bit of time- maybe a ten minute wait? There were the complimentary peanuts, which we did not partake of, but I took note of since my dad loves peanuts any shape or form they come in, so definitely will be taking him here so he could load up pre- burger. So we took our food home. The burgers- there are two patties on a regular burger, which was a total surprise to me, and now I realize that there is a reason why there is a 'little' burger also on the menu- were pretty good. They are all cooked well done, which sometimes bothers me, but not really since it is a burger. You can also order however you like -with everything, or with nothing at all, no BS charges because you wanted grilled onions or mushrooms. I got mine pretty basic (how i like them): mayo, ketchup, tomato, onion, and lettuce. SO got the bacon cheeseburger with pickles, ketchup, lettuce, and onions. We did really like our burgers, but next time will order the little burger, since two patties is a little too much for me! Their fries were ok- I might have been a little spoiled since I just had some phenomenal boardwalk fries at Little Macs in Point Pleasant just last week, and the fries were a little on the softer side (compared to super crispy), but we still ate them with relish. the only cons I can think of is the wait time for our food- there were still a lot of people ordering though at 8pm, and maybe as time goes by things will get quicker- the staff is probably still adjusting to the number of people they are getting, but all our burgers were made to our order, and not messy or thrown together at all. Another con would be the fries, but I can get over that by skipping them. I see also that they do grilled cheese, hot dogs, and a veggie sandwich, so I'm sure I can talk my veggie friends in joining the other carnivores for dinner or lunch once in a while. I do wish they had milkshakes though, as I love me a little vanilla shake with a burger. There is a haagen daz in the same shopping plaza, but I feel like a milkshake from there is like way too much for this tummy along with the double burger. read more

Favorite burger spot can't beat it... always quick and always overly generous with the fries!

The best late night guys there is!!! Just walked in 15 min to close and these young men treated me like I was their first customer of the day. Fresh hot burger. He even struck up a conversation about where I work and family. So nice. A+ on your hiring. read more

They let us on a few minutes before closing, so kudos for that. But, I was the last of 5 people to order my burger and pay the bill. When the food was ready, my burger was MIA. Then I looked at my receipt and it wasn't even on there. The cashier didn't go over the order before I paid so I wasn't aware it was missing. The teenager in charge said the grill was just turned off and wouldn't make my burger for me. I had to sit there eating salty peanuts and soggy fries while my family scarfed down their burgers. And it was MY idea to go there in the first place because I was thinking about it all day! You know what good customer service is? "Sir, it was our mistake. If you give me 10 minutes I'll personally make your burger at no charge for you." I'm still pissed a day later. read more

This burger was alright, five guys burger are purely avg with 1/2 ripe tomatoes that were simply a chore. But here is some advice: when I say no to fries or a drink, I mean no. Don't ask me with a creepy devilish grin a 2nd time, most certainly not a 3rd time. No matter how amused you are by the thought, just don't do it. I am not a subject in your physiological experts for market research on persuasion tactics. Shave your awful neck beard and learn to deal with people without weirding them out. If that guy is the manager...well the ownership might want to have a chat with this oddball. This could have been 3 stars, but Weirdy McWeirdington is dragging the place down. 12/22/16. read more

Being from California, I'd heard that Five Guys was the next best thing to In-N-Out out here. As such, I was excited when I had the chance to try it as my first meal off the plane. I got the Bacon Burger "All the Way" (meaning all free toppings included), Cajun Fries, and a soda. Pros - Patty was PERFECT. Cooked just the right amount and as juicy as could be. - Getting all the toppings may seem like overkill, but the end result was quite tasty. All the fixings complimented one another quite well. - The Cajun Fries are a bit on the larger side when it comes to "fry size", absolutely fresh, and perfectly seasoned. Definitely one of the better fries I've had in a long time. - Free refills on drinks *Bonus - Free peanuts on the side. That you can crack open, eat, and then toss the shells on the floor. Nice, unique touch. Cons - My only real complaints lie with the bun. One, it is two small for the burger in that the bun is not completely covered, making the burger fall apart easily when eating. Two, it's a bit too soft, giving the burger a "sloppy" feel. In closing, while Five Guys is no In N Out, it's still a great burger joint and one of the better ones I've had. I'd definitely recommend it. read more

Good burgers and great fresh cut fries makes it a our go to place. Sometimes we just get fries :) Located in a busy ares, so they have enough traffic and you know that food is fresh, priced average: It is not as cheap as your average fast food place but to be fair the food is much better here. Highly recommend. read more

Sorry to say this will be my last visit to this location. The fries were hot this time but again, we received pcs instead of a whole fry. It may not seem like much but it is annoying to eat. Especially when other locations can manage it. The burger was sloppy and poorly constructed. It just fell apart every time I picked it up. I am not sure why this location can not mimic the experience of every other location. read more

DAMN fine burgers. Forget the fast food, go here. Have to have my wife go because of my peanut allergies I can't eat the fries or enter the place. Hot dogs have flavor as opposed to most where you would have to douse them in ketchup and mustard to taste something. read more

I really like cheese burgers, but this is currently my favorite. Leading for over a year, 5 Guys Burgers n Fries has been killin it n grillin it. It's a little expensive for fast food, but you always get your money's worth in fries and toppings. (You get like a brown paper lunch bag filled with fries and burgers love limitless toppings). My ideal situation here is double bacon cheeseburger, all the way, add jalapenos, side cajun fries. Its like $10. Do it soon and get the napkins ready! read more

As long as you like toppings on your burgers this joint offers outstanding burgers and fries for great value. The burgers are "right sized" and have great flavor. I normally take my burgers medium rare, but fully enjoyed these well done patties. Not a hint of dryness. I go for the bacon burger all the way plus jalapeños and BBQ sauce. Just a warning on the fries as they are very big servings. My first time in I went with my 8 year old son and got two orders of fries. We didn't even touch the second order. I alternate between the regular fries and Cajun...both the best fries in the area. Keeping in mind that this is just a fast food joint service has been good every time I've gone. Waits are longer then typical service counter type places, but its well worth it. I've never had an order mix-up no matter how busy it's been. Definitely the best place to get a burger in the Brunswick area. read more

Well let's see what all the hype is about. Walked in and waited perhaps 5 minutes to order from what may have been an owner/manager a plain cheeseburger..."What nothing on it" No just the cheese please,"Really...Nothing but cheese...no other fixings"? No thank you It's my first visit and I would like to taste the meat, not the fixings, and could I have that medium?."No all our burgers are well done but juicy" The burger I received was smaller than I expected with 2 small irregular shaped patties that looked basically incinerated, the American cheese half melted between a soft but sturdy bun. It smelled like a summertime grilled burger and tasted surprisingly beefy and well seasoned even if juicy was a stretch. Would I return? Properly not simply because anyone with 20 minutes, decent ground chuck, coarse salt and pepper,a reasonably fresh kaiser roll and a skillet could surpass a 5 Guys burger and for 1/2 the cost. Their menu advertises that no fillers or preservatives are added but I venture that their pantry is well stocked with MSG. read more

It was almost 10pm and me and the passengers in my car were hungry. We pulled into the shopping center to see if anything was open and saw Five Guys. This was my first time at a Five Guys so I was kind of excited. I always heard good things for the most part. The place was near empty as they were closing in 15mins. We ordered a regular burger, a small burger and a hotdog. We also ordered a large order of Cajun fries. It was pretty good but a bit on the salty side. They added salt in addition to the "old bay" seasoning. Also, the large is enough 2-3 person. I would recommend asking them to not add salt to the Cajun Fries and request seasoning on the side so you can season it yourself to taste. Besides that, the fries were pretty good. Their potatoes are hand selected for Five Guys from Idaho. The food took unusually long to come out! NOT ACCEPTABLE considering the fact that the place was not close to even being packed. Not to mention, there were like 6-8 guys working in the back. I had filled up my drink at the soda fountain, sat down to start yelping, got up to go to the bathroom, sat back down and my food was still not ready! I can't even imagine how long the food would take if the place was packed, let alone half full!!! The establishment was pretty big for a burger place. I've never been to any other Five Guys so I have nothing to compare to. But I roughly counted seating easily for 60. They offered free refills from the soda fountain and free peanuts while you're waiting for your food. The free peanuts reminds me of a steakhouse place I go to once in a while in PA. Their bathroom was small and only for single occupancy. Again, I would assume the wait to be long if the place was any more than half full. Overall, it was an OK first experience. It wasn't bad but it wasn't great. I will need to visit other Five Guys and try their foods for consistency... read more

Maybe it was a mistake to visit on opening weekend, but Sunday evening at 6:30 at the new North Brunswick Five Guys was quite the event. The line to order was nearly out the door, and the line to pick up was quite long for Five Guys. For some reason, there was only 1 register open, and my 4 Little Cheeseburgers was misheard for 4 Regular Cheeseburgers. They also forgot the jalapeno peppers on my burger. All in all, it took about 30 minutes to order and receive food. This isn't typical of a normal Five Guys, so I expect things to get better once the initial hype has settled down in a few weeks. Overall, it's a good location (the Shoppes at North Brunswick), with ample parking, seating indoors and a few tables outside as well. They may have messed up my order, but otherwise the manager and employees were very nice. They served with smiles on their faces, even as the place was getting busier and louder. Five Guys is my favorite place to get a burger in NJ, but since I live between 2 locations, I'll be going to Ewing for my fix for now. read more

So where should I begin? So me and my friend wanted to get some burgers today so we decided on 5 guys to switch things up a bit. There wasn't a line so we ordered quickly and the cashier was pretty good at taking the orders. We then got some peanuts and filled our drinks and sat down at a table. So the first thing that went wrong was the table was really cheap. I got up to take my jacket off and I moved the whole table almost knocking my friends drink over. We got our food pretty quickly after that since they had 10 people behind the grill. I got a bacon burger and my friend got a cheeseburger with a regular fries and drink. They put his burger at the bottom of the bag and covered it with hot fries so he had to dig through them to grab his burger. They really couldn't give him 2 bags when he spent over $13 there? It seems silly to complain about but they really shoved this bag full! But the burger, the patties were small and crumbling apart. The bun was too small and soggy. It kept ripping and all the toppings fell off every time I took a bite. That's how I noticed that even though I bought a bacon burger, they basically took half a strip and crumbled it so it would look like more. Unlike the other toppings, bacon actually cost extra money so I had to go ask for more bacon which they were pretty rude about. The fries were soggy and unevenly seasoned, nothing like they were when the store first opened. Half of them were broken, probably because they shoved the bag so full. They also used to put extra fries in the bag so you got a lot more but now they just underfill the cup and put the rest in the bag. The quickest way for a restaurant to go under is to be stingy with the food. It costs barely anything compared to other expenses and keeps people coming back. With so many choices for a burger, why would I ever come back here? read more
