Came here with my family and got truffle burgers, bacon stack burgers and regular fries. We ordered prior to coming so go out order pretty quick. The food was hot and tasted great. My only real complaint is that the floors were super greasy no matter where I walked. Our chairs were sliding as well. The food at this place is great but the service is awful. Every time I've been there (at least 3 times) to order my own food for takeout I've seen employees eating behind in the kitchen which I'm pretty sure is against health code. They are also slow to serve and not particularly friendly. Whomever owns this place needs to pay closer attention because it's not the food quality as to why it's usually empty. It's the employees and service. If you have a manager they are not doing their job. The kicker is they ask for a tip at checkout. Ordered online. Husband picked it up, got home, no $5 cup of cheese sauce. I called and they swore they put it in our bag. I've been at this location many times, and the service and food was on point. When I first entered the store, it was empty. No employees nor customers to be seen. Iam thinking this is weird. Iam there waiting at the order counter. A few moments later, two employees walked in from the back. The young lady took my order. She was polite, but they kinda looked at me knowing Iam thinking what's going on here. Several moments later, two more employees came out from the back. The males looked unkempt. The guy with the braids should have a hair net, cause his braids were frizzy. The burger gave me an upset stomach. I was surprised because the food is normally good. We had Smashburger delivered via a delivery service and we were highly satisfied! The food was hot, delicious and expertly wrapped. I particularly enjoyed the safety seal on each bag, along with the seal over the milkshake. The smash fries and tots are a must have. Both are tossed in rosemary, garlic and olive oil, giving them an elevated touch. Burgers were cooked well and delicious. What happens when you either don't have a manager on duty, or they are incapable of executing their duties. You have a dirty facility. Long lines. Long wait times for food. And employees who act up along with joking and horse play while customers are waiting. And when you say something they just ignore you. Zero customer service at this location. Fries were fresh and hot. Half tasted like they had some special oil flavor but the other half was perfect. It's pricey for "fast food", but a nice alternative to the same old burger and fries. I was soooo excited when I heard a Smashburger was coming to Naperville. Although my excitement didn't last very long. First off the app was a bitch to use. I redeemed the 600 points for a free side which didn't come up until I was in the restaurant so I couldn't pay ahead or order my food. The guy at the register (who took a minute to put his phone down) I asked about the points disappearing when trying to place the order and he was like uhhh Duh? Ok if you're going to use this app maybe train your employees to use it?? And after my order was placed I forgot to have him scan my QR on my phone- he had no idea how to scan this app?? This place is abysmally bad. I attempted to order once via Uber Eats, which it is currently listed on, well before they closed. Order was immediately cancelled with no explanation. If you don't want to fulfill orders, don't advertise on there and waste people's time. I then came in person. I tried to order something from their menu displayed online and was told that item didn't exist. The displayed menu looks nothing like the online menu. I ordered a single item and as I was waiting I saw almost every worker horsing around in the back and texting. One of them was literally holding their phone in one hand and a frier basket in another. Phones are riddled with bacteria and should not be used while handling food. Various people had long hair without any kind of hair protection. All just very unsanitary. The person at the register was also texting and not paying attention to people walking in. The item I ordered took way too long to come out. I sense that everyone just screws around in there and collectively sighs when a customer walks in. Oh no, now we gotta work! Made a yelp account to post because the online feedback was too complicated. Went with my partner because the previous weekend it was very good but this weekend was a complete let down. We ordered two burger fries and beverages. The food was 40 minutes late! They said there was a mixup and the food was delivered to the wrong table then I was let know they were making it fresh. There was a hair in the food and they missed putting extra bacon on a burger which was paid additional for but by the time we got our food we were starving. In the process of eating the staff was arguing but one of the employees was reasoning with his staff which deescalated it completely. The bathrooms were apparently a mess according to other customers at the time. The total came out to 45 dollars after leaving a 2 dollar tip on top of the 43 dollar bill. read more
