Everyone hates the Yelp reviewer who complains about the service. But I have been to this location five or six times and they have NEVER gotten my order right. These are not complicated orders. And then they give me a dopey look when I ask them to kindly fix the mistake. Two employees eating food in the middle of the lobby while I waited for food, and the one that figured out how to take my order joined them while I waited. I used to like Smash but not anymore. In fact I'm making a vow to never return to Smash at least this location, ever again. We went during lunch around 12, thought we'd get our food pretty fast because we were second in line... little did I know we would be waiting for 35 minutes! I visited at 2:45pm on a Monday afternoon and ordered the truffle mushroom Swiss burger with smash fries and a fountain drink. I had my food in about 5 minutes so I can't complain about the service the way others have. I also left my tray on my table and by the time I got in my car & looked back inside I could see that my table had already been cleared. Not bad. The mushrooms on the burger were fresh, not soggy canned impostors. The burger overall was very good, but a little greasy/soggy, and the bun to meat ratio was good. The mushrooms could have been sautéed a little longer for more flavor. The smash fries are also good - best when eaten plain so you can taste the rosemary. I also like that they have Heinz mustard on the tables. I noticed though that so many of the burgers on the menu come with some mayo variant. This seems like a strange Utah thing where mayo is used on almost every type of burger. Please stop with the mayo on hamburgers. read more

I mean it's not a bad hamburger. But I would rather go get a dollar cheese burger from McDonald's. Because these are good but not worth what you pay for them. I got the $9 meal deal and it wasn't really worth it. But if you can splurge a little go ahead it's good. And the workers were super nice! Because me and a few others kids when there on our way home from an FFA competition and the guy working asked us an agricultural and it was just super fun to tell him about it. Went there for shakes. Waited quite a while in line with only 3 people in front of us then waited 20 minutes for our shakes, which turned out to be very mediocre for the price. They came in a drinking mug with no tin. It looked like they were out of the regular shake glasses. I can name almost anywhere else that has better tasting shakes and for almost half the price. I've been here several times over the past year as we live nearby. Not terribly impressed but I am leaving four stars due to my husbands love if this place.! My biggest complaint is they have a hard time understanding a burger without any pink in it. I even say 'burn it' when ordering and I still end up with a pink burger. It's frustrating. We have a smashburger in Tulsa that always has great food, great service and an exceptionally clean establishment. I was very disappointed choosing this restarant tonight as I found the food to be just "okay". The most bothersome part is that it wasn't busy at all and most of the tables were very dirty so we are outside. It took a bit for the employee to acknowledge our presence. I went in there and watch the girl who made my hamburger play with her hair right before she made it. When I sent it back she deliberately with aditued showed me she was putting her gloves on. I have 15 years of customer service experence. You do not play with your hair and not wash your hands after before making someone's food. Great food but the service was horrible. They had people wandering the lobby doing nothing. One of them on their phone just texting and walking around. Seriously we called in our order 20 minutes early and it still wasn't ready on time. There was 0 customers in the lobby and they couldn't even make the burgers right. They just slopped all of our onions in the very middle of the burger, forgot the ranch on both the meals and stacked the avocado in the middle of the burger too. There were 3 cooks and about 7 other people working as well. All of them were doing nothing like it was a high school lunch room. They couldn't even put the correct food in each bag...... I went there on the night of 1/28/16. There were seven of us in our group. They people working the restaurant made four mistakes. That's over a 50% fail rate. One person ordered the Beehive and they left off the BBQ sauce, the is a BBQ sandwich. They forgot the fries on one order. That isn't bad but they supposedly had garlic and rosemary on them. I could see some green on them but for two seasonings that have such strong flavors I could taste neither. The last two mistakes were the same two of the burgers were raw in the middle, not pink but raw. This really makes one wonder how this happens because the burgers are not thick at all. read more

Came by with a group of friends at 9:15, and was "welcomed" by an employee named Angel. She seemed so inconvenienced at the fact that she had to actually do her job. The entire time while serving us, she would roll her eyes and huff and puff. In between serving, she would talk crap about people to the cook. The food was great as always, and the kid working the register was really kind, but this one employee with a bad attitude has left me not wanting to come back to this location. As we were leaving, we went to clean up our own dine-in trash, and she mumbled something under breath. My friend asked what she said and she snapped that she would clean it up and rolled her eyes. We weren't even staying past close and made sure we were leaving before and yet she still behaved the same. Angel was rude, unfriendly, and quite infuriating. We came to eat at Cubby's next door, but Cubby's is closed on Sunday. Too bad for us. In fact, of all the food places in this development, this is the only one open on Sunday. We got two burgers (regular and my mushroom & cheese), but the taste doesn't match the hype. The Super Star at Carl's is much better. Small servings of fries cool quickly in chrome-wire paper-lined baskets. Smash burger fries (plain or sweet potato)are flavored with herbs, but thin cold fries are gross, no matter what the flavor. We also got a shake filled to within an inch of the top of the glass, and the side-car it was mixed in with an inch of runny shake in the bottom. Like their burgers, I think they're going with the illusion that you're getting more value. I just don't see the attraction. It's a matter of personal opinion, I guess. The food was decent. The real issue was the service. The staff was completely incompetent. I walked up to the place to pick up my online order, and they didn't even acknowledge me for almost five minutes.They just stood there with their backs to me. Then, they got confused and handed me someone else's receipt to sign. Mind you, this was the manager I was dealing with, not just one of the cashiers. Then I had to stand around for another 20 minutes while they worked on my packing up my order, so that by the time the last of it was in, everything was cold. At that point they got distracted working on someone else's order, and mine sat there for another few minutes until they realized it was finished and they could give it to me. It was pretty embarrassing to hand my co-workers cold burgers and fries. To top it all off, they got the majority of the orders wrong, even going so far as to put BACON on the VEGETARIAN burger.
