Let's just say the phrase most commonly coming out of my mouth (sometimes a mouth full of food) was "OMG!" Seriously! What the heck is Smashburger?! I'll tell you - it's freaking delicious food! I'm so excited to have discovered this place. I've never heard of it. My fiancé and I are visiting from California, immediately after the second bite I looked online for their "locations" hoping to see something in Orange County. To our delight, there are two locations we can visit when we return home. Anyway! I ordered something that had brisket, beef, and bacon with cheese (single). It was mouth watering. I savored every bite. We also ordered two sides: French fries and Brussels sprouts. Warning - both items are addicting! Fries and Brussels were cooked to perfection, the crisp mmm! My fiancé also said his burger was good! To drink I tried the strawberry dragonfruit. It was flavorful and just the right amount of sweetness. Upon entering we were kind of overwhelmed by the many options the menu has to offer. The super kind and helpful staff made some great suggestions. This was my first time going to Smashburger and I was happy with it! First, Trevor greeted us warmly and had good recommendations that we tried. The smashfries were delicious! Also, the double bacon burger had plenty of bacon, I'm so glad they didn't skimp on the bacon portion size. Next, the wait time was 0 minutes and the time to get our food was not long at all. It said "under new ownership" outside this location so whoever is running the place is doing better than the 2.5 stars yelp is rating it at the moment. There was only one other family in the restaurant so it was quiet and there was plenty of sunlight wanting the space. I would definitely visit this location again. read more

They have great food. Very flavorful burgers and a good size menu. The Rosemary fries are so good and I love that they have fry sauce here. We ordered a peanut butter Oreo shake and it was fine but definitely needed more peanut butter flavor in it. The flavor of the shake was pretty mild. The only reason I'm giving it a 4 star instead of a 5 is I came here because we have a starving student card and smash burger is on there with a buy one get one free deal which is why we came here. We are trying to save money. The employee said they aren't suppose to be on the starving student card and he wouldn't honor it. I feel like they need to honor it since they are on there. read more

We used to really like Smashburger! We are a family of 6 so going out to dinner doesn't happen often but we found an unused gift card so we decided to take the fam out. First of all, on a Saturday evening there was only one person take orders, making shakes, and serving food. We waited 20 minutes to just place our order. When looking for a table, all tables were dirty and we noticed that the walls were filthy as well as the condiments on the table. When food was finally ready after 20 minutes, it came in a bag even though we were dining in, a little inconvenient with a bunch of us. Trying to figure out whose burger was whose was not ideal. We asked for some fry sauce and were told they could get us some in a few minutes, we never got any. I honestly felt bad for the cashier. All in all, we won't be back. Stopped here for two double bacon smash burgers and fries. Employees were friendly and two seasoned employees helped out our cashier who was new. Good to see them working as a team :) Overall the prices are a little high however if you're hungry and craving a burger that is very filling this is the right burger place! We were impressed by the quality of the ingredients and feel they warranted the price. Lettuce that was actually deep green! Tomatoes that were a deep red! You could taste each component. The only area for improvement was that the fries were way too salty. Detracted from their good potato flavor. Overall we really enjoyed our lunch. I would just like to begin this by saying that the food was great, it's the employees that concerned me. We went in on a Sunday which is typically very slow, we ordered our food and sat down. I looked at the receipt and realized that we were missing a burger, my fiancé went up to ask and see if they had it on there end and they did not. 20 mins later, the only item that comes out is the missing burger and none of the other food, after about another 10 minutes everything else comes out. Like I said at the beginning the food was great but all of the employees were incompetent and seemed super unorganized, to be honest it's a massive deterrent. We always love the hamburgers here! The meat is well seasoned, the buns are great and all the fixings are high quality. I got the bacon brisket burger and loved it. My husband got the classic double and loved that too! Fries are pretty standard. We got regular and sweet potato. The service here was super slow. When we finally got our meals, they put pickles on my burger which I had asked them not to do. The just took the pickles off and handed it back to me, so I had to ask for a new bun since, you know, pickle juice. The ambiance is good but our table siding was missing and my son scratched his arm on it. It wasn't a big deal. I was looking to support a local, one-of-a-kind place or at least a small chain. I was drawn here by the name because I love a good smash burger! This one was incredible! I like how they cut the lettuce in strips so they know not to put too much on! Big plus for me! The patties were seared very nicely which provided that soft crunch and pronounced beef flavor! They were very juicy too! The cheese was nicely melted, the onions tasted great and so did the mayo. You can taste every component of this burger without anything overpowering the other! I'm not a fan of how every menu item costs separate instead of offering combos. But if you're just concerned about how everything tastes and the service, you will not be disappointed! I was surprised with how tasty the chicken sandwich and fries were! Yum!!! I order the original chicken sandwich and smash fries. The chicken sandwich was good size and had a great crisp flavor. The chicken was larger than the bun, which I appreciated since it's the best when the meat is a little bigger than the bun. The chicken was moist inside and crispy on the outside. There was plenty of red onions, lettuce tomatoes, and mayo on it. I would have preferred less mayo since it was oozing out of my sandwich- I just wiped off the excess amount of mayo with a napkin. The fries were cooked nice and crispy with a soft inside. The olive oil and rosemary seasoning were really good. The fries came with fry sauce which was your standard fry sauce. I would definitely order both of these again. I came during the lunch hour right before the lunch rush started. There were only two employees there. One employee cooked and the other one cashier, served, and helped back in the kitchen when she wasn't serving or cashiering. There was a little wait since the restaurant was getting busy and there were only so many employees to help everyone. The employee who was serving the food did not let this deter her from making sure everyone got what they needed when she delivered their food. The food overall was absolutely disgusting. Fries needed salt, burger needed more flavor and the only good food presented were the tater tots, which still weren't even that good. If I were to chose between this food and Burger King, I'd kill myself. We stopped at Smashburger yesterday at Thanksgiving Point Lehi Utah It was the worst ever. There were no monitors to order from there was run off copies laying on the rail. The seats on all the benched were so ripped that we couldn't even sit on them We ordered and when our food finally came that had set on the warming light for about 5 minutes cause there was only two people there which half way threw the one gal took her lunch sack and drink out the front door and left with one guy there There was like 4 people behind the grill laughing and talking in another language and not really paying attention to the orders. Finally received the order and I ordered the All American Smash it had No onions No pickles and so much mustard on it it was dripping out of the bun after scraping most of it off so I could eat it, I got towards the middle and the patty was raw. Fast casual burger join with reasonable prices. I'm sure during the rush of lunch time the staff could get crushed here, but dinner was calm and easy. Hubby had s double avocado bacon burger with smashed tots and I ordered the spicy Baja with chicken instead of beef and sweet potato fries. The chicken was well seasoned and spicy. We added a salted Carmel shake to share. The entire meal was only $25 making this a bargain - but don't expect ginormous servings.
