Visited location shortly after opening and was the only person in the restaurant. Took 27 minutes from time of ordering to order delivery at the table for two burger combos. Fries were cold and burgers were minimally hot. Restaurant interior looked worn and dirty. Provided feedback on visit to smashfeedback.com and received zero response. Quick and friendly service! Burgers tasted great! Awesome fries! I'm giving 4 stars because we felt a little jipped on toppings-minimal amount of bacon and avocado and small tomato slices and put together a little sloppy maybe because they were rather busy when we went in and in a hurry to get our order out. Great addition to Kingsley. We have not dined in so this is solely based on take out. WE LOVE THEIR BURGERS! Always fresh and juicy, never dry or over cooked. I am one of those that usually take off the pickles, onions first thing and tomatoes half way through devouring my burgers. And this is the ONLY burger I eat straight through enjoying every juicy bite because their ingredients are fresh. They have pretty awesome tater tots too. Great change up from fries I'd say. Crispy and not tasting like it was soaked in grease. And they have a flavored vitamin drink on tap that is quite tasty. read more

I used to not be a big fan of Smashburger, but after eating here a few times I've come around. Their burgers (although small) have been very, very good. Super soft, juicy, and tender. Surprisingly so. I did take issue with their double patty onion burger because when I did receive it, it was TINY. Came to find out it was 2 kids' patties, so they have marketing issues. BUT it was like $4. So I can't really complain. I will say paying full price for a meal feels a bit pricey. Not because of the quality, but because of the quantity - small portions. But they're always having great deals if you sign up for their Smash Club, so that's what makes it worthwhile. The staff are always very nice and attentive and this location is nestled in beautiful Kingsley. My only other issues (very small issues) are the tiny paper flags that come on the burgers - cute but I'm not a fan of creating waste for the sake of cute. The other issue are the wire baskets. These are very difficult to cut things in should you need a knife and fork for whatever reason (great presentation though). Overall, I'd really recommend this place as it's the best burger experience I've had in the immediate area. read more

We usually like Smashburger but this was the worst experience ever. It'a ridiculous that we spent $40 for 2 burgers, 2 small fries & 2 small shakes & the order was wrong 2 times. They never got it right so we left. There didn't seem to be a manger on duty or none that was there when we were. The fries were cold & had none of the seasonings I asked for. The milkshakes were basically some milk & whip cream. There was no Reese or Oreo chunks in it & they were melted & liquid within 5 minutes. This whole meal was so disappointing and overpriced. I usually just get chicken tenders or chicken sandwiches at restaurants, and I did the first time I went to smash burger. It was easily the best chicken sandwich I had ever eaten. So, I reasoned, if the chicken sandwich was this good, and the restaurant is called smash burger, their burger must be really good. So, I went back that Thursday and got a classic double cheeseburger. The most filling, best smelling, best tasting, best feeling burger that had ever came to my table. And I usually think that the chicken stuff is better than the burgers, but this was an exception, and a very welcome one, too. Now, every Tuesday and Thursday, when I'm in fort mill after tennis, I stop and get a Double Classic smash burger (with only cheese on it) and a vanilla milkshake. Oh, and I forgot about the milkshakes! Real vanilla bean ice cream blended up and a bit more sugar added in, and it isn't stupidly hard to get the milkshake to come up the straw, because they make it with the perfect mix of runny-ness and coldness. 10/10, I will go every Tuesday and Thursday after tennis for the rest of my life. read more

The only restaurant I can compare this to is Five Guys because you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. The Twin Cities Hamburger has a very good taste but the burger you get is far from the burger you see on their advertising poster. It is much smaller. The Smash fries have a very good taste with olive oil and rose Mary drizzled on top. The Haystack onions are very disappointing. They are shaved so thin you can barely taste them. The price at Five Guys and here is comparable but you only get one side at Five Guys. But the amount of fries at Five Guys is plentiful. Five Guys by far is the better choice read more

My boyfriend (African American) and I (white) walked in to get some food at 7:45pm last weekend. The Fort Mill location doesn't close until 9 pm so we knew we wouldn't be bothering them. However, when we walked in an employee looked us up and down and stood up from the table where she was eating and said "we are not serving". We both stood confused as she walked off to throw out her trash, she then glanced back at us and gave us a nasty look. We were very lost as to why we got refused service when the establishment was not closed and they were still sending our orders. Was it because we are an interracial couple? Was she having a bad night? Either way I walked away from the interaction feeling very off and feeling very disrespected. It happened so fast I never got her name, but I would like to see management fix staff issues at this location. They charged me for the largest size fry, I went to pick up my order had to wait, was not welcomed when walked in the door. When I finally received my order my fries were half full, so I basically received a small fry and it was cold. Ordered their Triple Double burger for myself with sweet potato fries. Got a cheese burger with an extra patty for my son. His burger dwarfed mine in comparison... I'm leaving a burger joint still wanting food... that would never be the case at a Five Guys. Plus they gave me regular fries. I asked about the size of our burgers and was told yes that's is the correct size for that burger, your son's is larger because you added a patty... so ordering a double doesn't get you a double... This Smashburger is not representative of the others I have been to. I have gone to the Stonecrest one many times and it is consistently good. This one however needs a lot of improvement. My recent visit, my third, was my last unless it improves. The place was dirty, trash and overflowing and food on the floor. The burgers had a strange taste and were inedible. Counter service burgers and fries in fort mill/ Tega Cay. Hamburger places seem to be popping up a lot these days, and there are some very good ones (see my best burgers list). Unfortunately smashburger isn't one of them. I had really high hopes for smashburger which recently opened in the new kingsley business park. Upon walking in everything looks good. It's counter service, but you get a number to put on your table and the food is delivered which is nice. The portion sizes are small for what you pay. After spending over $10 on burgers and fries, you get a small burger and a not so generous portion of fries. The burger taste wise in on par with what you'd get from Wendy's and the fries are not fresh but a frozen fried fry. All in all this was not a good experience. I recommend driving up the street to blacow, you'll get an excellent craft burger and fresh fries for about the same price. read more

I placed a to go order on the phone today right before my lunch break. I work in the complex so it's very convenient to walk over on my lunch. When I said on the phone that I wanted to place an order the lady said "gonna be a minute" and then placed me on hold without warning. When I finally placed my order, I received attitude while doing so. My coworker and I walked over to pick up our orders and weren't even greeted as we walked in the store Or up to the counter. The cashier didn't turn even one time to say hello or that it would be a minute. My coworkers fries were more than disappointing as she paid for a large and received barely what could be considered a small. And after a long wait my chicken sandwich was less than satisfactory. They were many people there waiting just to take their order but more people waiting to receive their food. This is very offputting considering I work so close to this location and I've been to other locations and had great service. Tried to call back and did not get an answer.
