Food looks and smell great. They are slower but they working and trying to help all. One of the gripes I have is that the receipt is not provided until it's on your bag. I wanted to double check my order to see if was correct and the young guy at the register told me that it printed out and was being used "back there, and it would be on the bag," I guess I ordered the candied bacon biscuit and I'm so glad I did. It has great smoky flavor on the bacon and it's a nice balance of sweet and savory. It's slow here but I will come back: later in the morning, they are faster, but I came a little bit before 8 and the morning rush it's slowing them up. If anyone is looking for a job, I'm sure they'd appreciate the help. Cook is still learning. We keep trying with this Gold Hill location, but it just never works out in our favor. About a month ago, my wife and I decided to stop in for breakfast. It was a little after 8:00 a.m on a Saturday. The door facing the road was locked so we walked around to the other door. It was locked, too. We peered into the window to see an employee swirling her arm up in the arm. We took that as she was saying we needed to go to the drive-thru. We didn't. We just left. Yesterday, we stopped at the QT for gas and then drove over to Hardees. There was a guy attempting to get in but the door was locked. Chairs were still flipped upside down on the tables in the lobby. I looked at the time. It was 8:29 a.m. We left and went to the Hardee's on Dave Lyle Blvd where we got hot, fresh and delicious Super Sausage biscuits, hash browns, Diet Coke and 2 sides of gravy. The service was exceptional, as well. It's an absolute shame that we have to drive to Rock Hill to get a good Hardee's meal when the Gold Hill location is 2.3 miles from where we live. The servers are always cheerful and helpful. Maybe their attitude affected my rating of the food. Whatever, my biscuits always taste fresh and flaky. I've eaten Hardee's biscuits at other Hardee's but these are by far the best. The sandwiches are always hot and the meat is never hard or tough, which is what you get served at some other restaurants in the area. Been here a couple times for breakfast now. Drive thru can be slow at times even with little to no cars in the drive thru however the food always comes out hot and fresh and tastes great. Bacon Egg and cheese biscuit combo is the way to go! Hardee's is a great breakfast alternative when the Bojangles down the road is crowded. read more

I was very surprised by high quality of my breakfast at the Hardee's on Gold Hill Rd in Fort Mill. I know Hardee's had a better than average breakfast menu but this Hardee's served the best breakfast biscuit meals I've eaten. The sausage was hot, cooked to perfection, with enough spice to complement the cheese. The biscuits were buttery and tasted great. This is my second visit to this Hardee's, my first being years ago. The teams customer service at this location in particular is terrible. It's 9:18am, I just left the drive-thru. I pulled up and no proper greeting (Hello, good morning), instead i received a "Go ahead with your order." I wasn't sure I heard her correct so I responded with "I'm sorry?" She repeated: Go ahead with your order. I asked for a bacon egg and cheese slider, before I could fully get the words out she rudely responds "we don't have sliders." I paused and asked "You're out of them or don't sell them." (As they are still listed on the menu) She responds snappy "We don't have sliders." I politely drove off and came over to QT where I should've come to begin with. Please hire more quality people and people who at least sound like they want to be at work. The customer service at this Hardee's location was absolutely unexceptable. I am unsure of the cashier's name but i know she has a thick mustache and she was extremely rude. I had a rewards offer for a free tender and the lady stated i could not open the app while in drive way. She stated there was a time limit which i was aware of. I stated that i know i there is a time limit but if we opened the code too soon the timer would start. In other words i stated we would have to wait anyways because the app has a timer and the cashier was moving very slow. While i was speaking to her she closed the window in our face and walked away. Not to mention we already waited 15 minutes for the 1st order of tenders. Not only did we wait a long time for tenders but i went back around the drive thru because the order we had did not have the sauces requested. We asked for 1 honey mustard and 1 bbq and received 2 honey mustards. My boyfriend asked for the sauces and was willing to simply trade out the one he didn't want and instead she was rude and said "Look i already gave you sauces and it only comes with one". I have not been to a Hardee's in 10 years so thought it was time to try it again. It think it'll be another 10 years before I go back. In short: Our order was incorrect. The french fries were cold. They did not provide any utensils with our order. I think I had to get up and go to the counter 3 times before I could sit and try to enjoy our meal. My wife tried the Grilled Cheese Bacon sandwich. It could've been very good except they did not or hardly toasted the bread. Yes, that did make a big difference. The soft chicken taco was nice but the beef burrito lacked flavor. I tried the side of beans which were runny and tasted worse then beans out of a can. No spices or flavoring. One bite and the rest was trashed. The whole time we were there (25 minutes), the unsweetened tea container was empty and never filled. The person taking our order, while polite, seemed a little indifferent to everything. The one shining star is their Fruit Loop Doughnuts. Yes, they did have a nice Fruit Loop smell and flavor! They would be great with a coffee in the morning. This may be the worst location I have ever visited. I sat in line at the drive thru for 28 mins for my order. There were only 2 cars in the line. The car behind me went inside and was able to get their order while I sat for 18 of those 28 mins waiting at the window. When I asked the lady what the hold up is, she said they were out of biscuits. Something they could have told us to see if we wanted to wait or not. When I told her that it was unsatisfactory customer service, she said it was not her fault. So I don't frequent fast food restaurants often, and it's usually because of the experience I just had. A friend and I went through the drive through (it was just before 9:00pm). I tried to order chicken tenders and was told that they don't have anymore for this time of night. I know in fast food terms, that just means the employees have gotten lazy and stopped making them. Not even an apology. I was stuck ordering something I didn't even really want. I ordered the nachos. Although there was a car in front of us, I do feel like waiting 15 minutes for our order was just far too long for a "fast food" restaurant. It's clear to me that this particular Hardees is just mismanaged and should probably be evaluated. I have eaten at Hardees all my life all over the south and this by far was my worst experience! I was not impressed with the service or quality! The woman who took our order did not tell us the price of the food and she was unpleasant at the window. My family and I ordered a breakfast platter, a sausage and egg biscuit, a bacon egg and cheese biscuit, and a biscuit and gravy platter. All the biscuits were stale burnt hockey pucks! Our dogs wouldn't even eat them. It was like they used yesterday's left over biscuits! My family and I were on the road to begin our family vacation and chose Hardees for breakfast because of positive past experiences with the quality and service from Hardees. We only had time to make that one stop. The food was so bad we didnt finish it and were hungry with no time to stop for other food! Next time we will be eating at Bojangles! Awful hardees location. I go here in the afternoons mostly, and have had awful experiences every time with employees and attitude. Rude drive through customer service, awful attitude towards customer's. The disdainful looks I receive at the window every time look like the employees are doing you a favor giving you food. I only stop because it is on the way home and the food is decent to grab on the go, but awful location. The franchise owner should either restaff entire store, or be forced to give up his restaurant. Corporate office should be embarassed to let this location continue to operate with this level of service. I would give them a -10 stars if was an option. read more
