So the burgers are great, the cashier-yeah not so much. Their closing time is 9pm. We ordered by 8:23pm. The cashier was not happy we were here and let it be known by her constant heavy sighing and short answers and also asking if we were taking it to go. The burger was good but make sure you come when the cashier will be happy you are here. read more

The food was covered with so much grease we went through 50+ napkins alone. The one non burger was a kids hot dog which the person at the front said yea he keeps messing up and so it's taking a lot. And then proceeds to be offended that I am waiting on the food. This place is terrible and the service is horrible I won't recommend this location to anyone. We watched a table throw away their food fully uneaten I would show the recording but it shows the person face. Horrible place don't go! read more

We came with another couple and their teenage son. The son had 2 burgers and said this was his favorite place. I really liked the burgers here. The staff was ok, but we came in 30 min. before close and they wanted to make sure we left on time. The fries were crisp and everything was freshly made and tastey. They had tater tots, so hubby was very happy. Their plating is just a metal tray. So not exactly a place for a date. But for a very casual meal, you're fine. You place your order at the counter and they give you a number to take to your table then bring it out to you. It was good, I'll be back. read more

Go Kim!!!!! Kim is the kind of employee who should be managing the shop. Today I had an employee who was very curt place an order for me. The employee never asked what I wanted but rang up what she thought I should have. When I came back to ask about it, instead of hearing me and trying to rectify the situation, the employee was basically saying Too bad, it's done. Kim overheard the conversation and immediately stepped in to ask what the problem was. When I explained, she simply asked how I wanted it, took the product, and remade it the correct way without all of the drama. I was very pleased that she stepped in and showed great customer service....you know....the way it used to be and how it should be. Hooray for Kim....Place her in all of the stores, please. Think she is the manager, but if she's not....please give HER the job! Thanks for being kind and gracious. BTW....can the person taking orders up front be a little more personable, not so abrupt and with an attitude. I am sure customers will have a much better experience; after all...it is a customer-centric business. Doesn't it benefit the store when customers want to come back? Thanks again, Kim....way to show folks what Mama taught us....how to be respectful and just plain old nice!!!!!! My food was good after you remade it! read more

I am not even trying to be funny. I don't know who was working the kitchen on May 1 around 4:30 PM, but that individual needs a raise. I have been to this restaurant a few times and it's usually pretty good but they were not playing around today. I'm not a hater by nature. I only leave five star reviews because I only eat at five star places . . . welcome to the list. The food was absolutely amazing. read more

Smashburger - so much grease in the food - Burgers Near Me - Fort Mill, South Carolina

We recently stopped into this Kingsley location, and here's the deal. The place itself was quite unkempt...and I hated the tight, awkward layout. Also, not sure why the lighting is so harsh? Not the most hospitable in terms of ambiance. No wonder the ratings aren't the greatest here! I had the Bacon Smashburger with Fries. I did not appreciate how they didn't warm up the buns (almost cold??), but the Angus Black burger was piping hot, fresh and delicious! I loved their skinny Fries too...not too greasy. If the buns were as warm/hot as the fresh patty, I might have even rated up to 4 stars (despite the sloppy ambiance of this place!). Everyone in my party loved the burgers and their sides, Onion Rings and Seasoned Fries. We also ordered SmashTots to share...and they were also delish. I'm not the biggest fan of burgers anymore, but if I'm ever in the mood, I'd be happy to return for more of their Angus Black Burgers! read more

I never been or ordered to a smash burger was my first time by online ordering , I spent 28 dollars waiting for 58 minutes for it to get delivered at my home, when the driver shown up all I got was my burger and fries, but missing my milkshake and I requested for side of ranch for my French fries the driver was kind enough to get it the shake for me but I ate half of my food waited for the shake I was like what's the point I mean he's gonna get it, when he came all the way back the store left it all melted and just milk inside, I wrote a complaint to higher up a voicemail and a email stated "Thank you for sharing your detailed experience regarding your recent order. We appreciate the time you took to provide this information, as it helps us understand your perspective and the specifics of your order journey." "Your comments about the ordering process, delivery time, and the items received have been noted. We also recognize the effort made by the driver to return for the missing item and the condition in which it was delivered." "Your comments will be shared with the relevant departments for internal review and to support our ongoing improvement efforts." "We look forward to the opportunity to serve you again." soon I wanted to another chance I came in, I forgot to add my welcome coupon on my app, had the burger and fries and a drink. The fries with the seasonings tasted weird the burger is good tho some of their lemonade was really just yuck, Minute Maid was fine tho. I wondered if the manager was able to add it, I mean they are the one who has my credit detail, I really want a refund for experience I had for the time and money was wasted, my second visit I am never coming back to even any location to make me feel sick. Higher up doesn't care I guess nobody cares the money I placed into this. read more

The young Caucasian girl with the black and reddish hair has terrible customer service. 1. We walked in and she gave us the most disgusting look, so much that we thought they were about to close. So when I walked up to the cashier I asked them if they were about to close and he said no. I also think he might have been the manager (very tall, young Caucasian male). 2. While I was ordering I told him I wanted a milkshake after I ate my food, I said "should I just order it now, or after?" He said "after". So after I ate my meal which was mediocre at best and not worth $40. I went to order my milkshake and again she just stared at me with disgust. DID NOT say "hi, how may I help you?" Instead continued to stare at my knowing I needed help and then said "what's up, what do you need". I was so shocked that I told her, just go get someone else because I don't want to work with you. DO NOT EAT HERE! Food is not worth it and terrible customer service!!!!!! read more

Customer service was poor. I ordered over the phone. Showed up at 9:05pm to pick up my order; I called prior and told them that I would be there 5 minutes late to get my food. I show up and try to open the door, it's locked. Stephanie looks up at me (keep in mind there are other patrons still eating in the restaurant) she screams across the restaurant, "WERE CLOSED!" I said "I know that, I'm here to pick up an order".... Very disappointed with my over all reaction with the employees. ON A POSITIVE NOTE: The Brussels sprouts were incredible. I could've had a whole bowl full. I ate them with ranch but a chipotle ranch would've been killer. Additionally my burger was delicious!! read more

Food was good. Service is terrible. Twice in the last two days. So must be real. Yesterday came in. Stood at the counter 5 minutes. Nobody ever came. I left and went across the street to Pacos Tacos. Today I go back to give them another chance. Couple at the counter. Another 2 ladies waiting to be next. I'm third in line. Nobody around. Finally one of the kids lolly gags up to the counter still looking at his cell phone. No sense of urgency or apology. read more

Clueless on customer service and the food isn't good either, double billed for a drink, had to come back to resolve.

It's a big red flag when you see a burger shack located in the heart of a very busy shopping complex, surrounding restaurants overflowing with people but yet this burger shack was dead empty: - Despite no line at the register, the cashiers ignored our party for under 5 minutes. - Despite the restaurant being dead, it took 33 minutes for our foot to arrive. Upon arrival it was an incomplete order and we had to have them go back and fix the order adding another 12 minutes. ITT oil me 3 trips to the cash register to have my order finally corrected. - Service stations had no napkins or condiments. - The place was filthy. Difficult to find tables that were cleaned or appropriately bussed. Trash cans were so full they were spilling out with trash. - Restrooms we're filthy. You're better off checking out the other eateries in the shopping center even though they may be busier. read more

STAY AWAY! There is a real reason why the reviews are so bad. I am always skeptical and coming from the hospitality industry I know all it takes is one bad waiter to put a restaurant's ratings in the trash. I think this was one of the worse experiences I have EVER had in my life. It's a miracle this place is still open in Kingsley where all the restaurants are spectacular. I got yelled ( yes , YELLED ) at for taking ONE mustard packet from their "so called station" Then I went back to check on my order , and the same lady was EXTREMELY rude and told me that I never ordered it , now Mam it's not my fault if your cashier is too busy to pay attention to her paying customers and missed the order. I can't say enough how awful it was. Couldn't taste the food because I am still boiling over this. Seriously , if you need to train your staff I can recommend many great people that actually will help your restaurant succeed. Because the way it's going .:: good luck! read more

I love Smashburger and was so excited to see one opening up in Fort Mill. We have been to this location twice and my review is based on this location, others I have given higher. I'm not sure what it is about this location, but I feel like their quality does not match up with what I have loved about others. For example, the first time I got the mushroom swiss burger and there were only 2 mushrooms on it. Other Smashburgers, the entire burger was covered, and then some! Also, the smash fries, are not very smashed compared to other places. You tell me where the seasoning is at in my picture at my second visit. Other Smashburgers, there are globs of the seasoning on the fries! The flavor of the food, burgers, and shakes are great, and I think this location has potential, but it just needs to get on par with the others. read more

Passing through, family and I decided to stop here to get a quick meal. We were told, as well as two people in front of us, that we had to wait 10minutes before they could take our order. We waited, but then I noticed other costumers making orders. I understand the wait, (the wait was because a costumer with allergies had ordered and the stove top had to be cleaned) but to skip us and continue taking orders from other costumers when we were up next was unprofessional. When i confronted the cashier, she went and asked the manager again, she and whoever else was back there told the cashier, "nah they can wait". Took that personal. Didn't get to taste the food, unfortunately. read more

If this restaurant was a Pokémon, it would be Garbodor. The hamburgers were so greasy and the grilled chicken was rubbery. We tried regular and smash fries (rosemary and olive oil) and they both were unsatisfying. Food is served in metal basket trays with a little paper liner which is kinda mid. We are over the metal serving plate trend of the early 2020s. Let it be an era to which we never return. read more

it's always a great experience. Customer service is exceptional. Highly recommend if you are looking for great food

I really don't like giving two stars. Service: My two kids and I arrived at 11 (no sooner). The gentleman who unlocked the door just gave us a look of disdain. I'm not expecting song or dance but a friendly 'Good afternoon, Welcome, etc' upon meeting us at door. Even a smile! Cashier got the order correct. I do think the prices are a bit high but appreciate organic drink choices. Food: It's good. The fries crispy and tots as well. But the service I get has an edge on food since there are so many good food choices these days. Environment: It's a burger place, I'm not expecting tons but I would expect a clean restaurant. It wasn't filthy but not clean either. Table was a bit sticky and floors didn't appear they had been cleaned from dinner evening prior. Smash burger- you have good food, I just recommend a welcoming air and clean environment. read more

First thing they brought us was a tray of cold fries saying the burgers would be out in just a few minutes. The burgers were almost 10 minutes later, with more fries. But these were at least hot. My family really loves the Smashburger burgers so we want to come here a lot. However, this location is hardly ever open! The past two weeks we've driven up from Rock Hill for lunch and one weekend they had a note on the door that said not open til 5pm, and then today there was no note on door but it was 12pm and the entire place was closed and dark inside. Not a single person in site. I fear this place won't last much longer, sadly. read more

I've been to this restaurant twice and both times have been great. The restaurant is located in the Kingsley area of fort mill. This area is always busy due to numerous businesses around. There's never a long wait to take your order and the food comes quickly with no issues. There is plenty of parking in the back of restaurant if you can't find a spot to parallel park. This time i came on my lunch break and they were busy. The seating area was almost full and there were about 4 people in front of me. The line moved fast and the cashier was nice. I chose the single turkey smash burger with tater tots. You can substitute the patty for a turkey one like I did or chicken (fries or grilled). Our food came out within 10 Mins and was hot and fresh. Tasty burgers and a variety of delicious sides. I had a single avocado bacon club and it was very tasty. Ok Matt the manager is a proactive guy as most of the staff trying to be on ball. The WiFi has a lot to be desired, let's just say there is none so it's hard to get coupon/meal credits. Matt had to figure out ways to get around it since the receipt did not have a bar code to scan also the coupon on the ap although it seamed to have read it, it didn't register on the order. Now for the big part, the shake was ok I wouldn't run in to get another one unless it was a basic vanilla, chocolate or strawberry. The burger left a lot to be desired. It was dried out and as the pic shows, very little toppings, thus not helping it out at all. The salad which was small compared to other places for the same price, it became 1/2 the size the next day. The fries straw fries with the dipping sauce was the best thing. I will give this place another try and hope it gets better. First time I went it was fresh and the meat was juicy, but then I was told the burger joint down the road is amazing so they will have competition if they want to keep going here. read more

Terrible!!! We ordered 5 meals and 3 of them were wrong. Although the order was prepared in time and very covid friendly, less than 50% correct and not very good is unacceptable. This franchisee should be stripped of their franchise for giving smashburger a bad name. I will not return to this franchise location. The owner is clueless if he thinks he can have one employee running the register, cleaning the dining room and running food out. A Saturday night in a very busy location should show more concern for people paying $25 per couple for a meal. The you g man out front was working very hard and he said "noone wants to work the front of the house". Wow, that used to be my favorite place to be in the day. I am so sick and tired of spending my hard earned money for this crap. Phorid flies were everywhere and that is indicative of a dirty restaurant so not a great start. We stood at the register for over 5 minutes before we asked the food runner to take our order, wow. He wasn't thrilled and it showed on his face. There were 4 of us and we ordered different items. I ordered their special Smoked BBQ burger which looked amazing on the menu. As served it looked great but was actually dry and totally unmemorable. Salad, chicken sandwich and burger with fries was ok but not great. The wait at the register and then for food was way past unacceptable. The Corporate office in Denver is probably clueless about what is happening here and the franchisee thinks he is doing great because there seems to be an endless stream of people like me willing to for over my money to them. Other than the cool area this store is in, the entire evenings tone was set by this and I am aggravated to say the least. Save yourself the trouble and do not go here.
