Wow the absolute worst place I've ever been to. Waited in line for 10 minutes while 3 parties ahead of us left. THEY REFUSED TO TAKE ORDERS! Everyone in the lobby was ignored and when we asked if they were taking orders a young man came over to and 3 other people yelled at him and said no they won't take our orders. We asked why and they said they're too backed up. There were employees walking around, getting drinks and talking and they could not even take 1 order. The kitchen and restaurant were absolutely filthy. Fries and food everywhere on the floor. They should close this store. They obviously cannot function at any capacity. Every geographic region where Smashburger is located has its own local burger. That local burger here is the Colorado, and man, did they save the best local burger for Smashburger's home state! I live in Virginia, and our local burger is not nearly as delicious - Virginia's local arugula burger can't be compared with the Colorado's green chiles and pepperjack cheese on a yummy potato bread bun. Order the Colorado! The one substitution you'll want to make is to sub out the mayo for the truffle sauce - sooo good! Another tip is to order the fried pickles - these are only available on Smashburger's secret menu so I always feel very special for knowing about them. I love Smashburger so much I can hardly decide what to order when I drop in. On this visit (first stop at this location) I enjoyed the veggie frites, haystack onions and black bean burger. The veggie frites were missing the garlic salt but GM Sean was more than happy to run them back for a quick sprinkle. He was also extremely patient about our questions (yes, the black bean burgers do contain cilantro). I thought the location was super convenient (just a short drive away from the outlets). My parents felt that their Burger and Chicken sandwich were rather greasy, but my black bean burger was A'ok. The haystack onions were a bit greasy for our taste (and a bit greasier than at other Smashburger locations I've visited in CO) but we enjoyed them all the same. Here is the good: If you are driving through on your way to ski, this is a great place to enjoy a high quality, Colorado-based burger experience. The menu is unique (as with all Smashburger locations) and the ingredients are tasty. This is a different take on burgers - one-of-a-kind combos and the fries are delicious! The shakes are hand-spun and are a really nice treat. Here is the bad: Prepare to wait. Wait in line, then wait for your food. I can't completely fault the staff here - labor in these mountain towns is hard to find. Evenings and weekends are the busiest, and The staff does a good job and stays positive, thanking customers for their patience. A chill place to take friends or the kids. Expect to pay more than usual Smashburger, after all this is Summit County. Right now they have coupons going out in the mail , plus on your receipt. Unbelievable what a mess that place is. Garbage on the floors, the food stations behind the counter covered on food. 6-7 employees behind counter not doing much. Employees touching their masks then touching the touching food to go. It was really bad. I wish I could post a picture of how much trash on the floors and how messy the food stations are. Ate here twice in past 2 weeks. The 1st time the burger and onion straws were good, but the dining area was filthy. The floors were covered in crumbs and trash even though we arrived at 11:20 a.m. The 2nd time was today ... The buns were stale and hard. The fried pickles were good. This place looks like a Smashburger but was such a disappointing experience I will not return. We tried to eat here Saturday but they were so delayed taking orders and serving customers we left after standing in line for some time because it was not moving (just to order). We came back because I wanted a Smashburger sandwich and fries, but upon entering we were not greeted and nearly left again. Tanner (maybe) came out to take our order and did an excellent job but then the food was horrible once it came out. The bun was a rock and the fries cold and missing seasoning. While eating the manager and an employee apparently had an argument and the employee stormed out after slamming some things in an effort to get his backpack. He commented "this is your loss, not mine" while walking out the door and the manager said "ok". The manager was sitting in the dining area while we walked in and waiting to order...the preference to let a customer prepare to leave and then have a difficult conversation with an employee during dinner time smacks of a major management problem that is apparent in service quality. This store needs urgent help or should be closed down, you're loosing future customers like me with this experience. Grabbed a quick bite on a Friday night before skiing. It was CROWDED! Be prepared to wait longer than you would at your neighborhood restaurant. Food was what you'd expect. The men loved the buffalo & blue burger. The Colorado was ok. Kids were please with their choice of hot dogs, burgers fries and milk shakes. I love me some Smashburger, and am happy to see consistency across their many locations in the Front Range. You'll never catch me stopping at a fast food joint (unless under extreme duress) so Smash is usually my destination when I want to chow down on some greasy goodness. As usual, my only complaint is the price. $10 for a chicken burger and coke...eh??? Service was fantastic though, so kudos to their manager for keeping the food moving and taking care of folks with their sit-down orders. Got two Chicago style dogs and a rootbeer to go. The root beers were great. The dog had all the right fixin's but I don't like the over the top MSG or Nitrate or whatever flavor of the unnaturally red hot dogs here. Plus, they let me pick up the wrong order on a takeout, even when I asked twice "are these the hotdogs?" and then I had to return three minutes later because I didn't want hamburgers and fries. I've tried Smashburger at different states before and I knew that it originated from Colorado so I was a little excited but it's sad to say that I was very disappointed. It was super packed on a Saturday night but the good thing with this location is that there's a lot of seating. I ordered a regular Colorado Burger for $6.29 and I thought it was just okay. The grilled green chilies on it didn't really do much for me, it wasn't spicy and it kind of just made the bun really soggy. I got some regular Spicy Buffalo Fries for $2.29 on the side and my goodness it was so salty! In hindsight I wish I just complained instead of putting myself through the trouble of eating it, it was really that bad! Fortunately, my hubby got some regular fries and I was able to share with him. I have been to this particular establishment several times. First, the food is great. The burgers are made fresh. The ingredients are good. The food is served hot and (in my experience), exactly as ordered. I'm a purist when it comes to burgers, so I've not tried their "fancy" burgers. I cannot say enough good things about their fries. My favorite is the sweet potato fries. I've also had the fried pickles. The staff at this store is great. I have taken two small children with me on multiple occasions. The staff does everything they can to assist, from getting a high-chair, to bringing drinks to the table, to providing a wet towel to cleanup a spilled drink. They certainly win in the family-friendly category. The last time, I received a bit of a discount for being military. It was unexpected, and unsolicited, but greatly appreciated. Smashburger is something I look forward to whenever I can find it. I recommend you give it a try. read more

OMG! might be the best fast food burger I have ever had. Took the kids and they loved it too. My favorite is the Colorado burger the jalapeno peppers, chipotle sauce and pepper jack cheese makes this burger rock! The egg bun is excellent too. Try the Smash Fry's they are a step above your everyday french fry. A great place to hit if you have been skiing Breckenridge or Keystone as you are heading down the mountains back to Denver. After several times visiting the Dillon establishment, I keep returning hoping for more and somehow, my opinion gets worse and worse. The staff is in general very helpful, however the restaurant was extremely unkempt. Trash was overflowing from the trash cans, spare supplies were astray around several tables, but the food was at best good. My biggest problem-- after placing an order online well over an hour in advance, I had to wait over 30 minutes after the designated pick up time for my food. I asked to talk to the manager about the delay and he refused to acknowledge the issue and essentially said there wasn't much he could do and shrugged it off.
