Our key would not open our cylinder lock. Had to have the onsite manager to drill the lock out. Onsite manager said there were burglaries in November and December 2024 and 1st quarter 2025. Burglaries included drilling out locks and replacing them with another lock. Burglaries through an adjacent vacant units to cut through the wall. We have over 10k of items stolen. Asked the manager why are there no cameras in the hallways and key pad accesss to the building. Corporate does not do it. Spoke with the district manager, he said it will be too expensive for the items and will keep you storage units rental lower (That's another conversation on rental price increases). I found another storage facility nearby that has cameras in the hallways and keypad access. The have twice a day lock checks. We decided to rent with them. Also, why is there no system in place to notify storage renters that there has been burglaries. Manager did say that there was a burglary close to our unit. Today, 5/31/25 - we went to our unit to move out. The key would not turn again. The lock cylinder was jammed. Our unit's roll up door was kicked in and was off the track. Fortunately, nothing was taken this time. With all the reported burglaries, Cubesmart should take action on minimizing the burglaries.

There's a lesbian woman that works here that gave advances to me and it seemed as though once I did…read morenot respond to those advances, she used her power. I was going through a lot personally, and this was holding nightgown that my grandmother passed away in a Christmas ornament that she had made after my brother passed away on Christmas at four years old basically just mine and my daughter's whole life. I paid late sometimes cause I was dealing with a lot mentally. I was about two months behind. I tried to come in three times to pay. I came on off days eventually I connected with her. I paid the minimum payment and she convinced me to pay the rest before my auction date. She said I had time. My storage along with other got broken in to. Something didn't seem right. Nothing was missing. well I came way before that date and she told me my stuff had been auctioned off so I had the sense to Google what she was doing and basically the storage facilities will pretend that your storage got broken into so they have every right legally if it's overdue to auction it off even before the due date. Which is what she did because somehow the person that got my storage was able to bring back wet pictures and journals. A month later. See when I told her it was just old things from my grandmother. Her eyes got his biggest saucers only owed like 200 and something dollars and I lost things that were irreplaceable in haunt me every day of my life. You are a horrible person. You scammed the system knowing I was going to be removing my stuff soon. You used your knowledge to help someone get things that had no value. I'm sure benefiting you in some way. You're a criminal. You knew I'd pay and remove my stuff soon. So you lied straight to my face and used the system to your advantage.

I wanted to leave this review to say how kind the staff is from the groundsmen to administration…read morethey are kind, patient and helpful. The first day I was given a safety tour and small history lesson which I enjoyed. The next day the key to my lock (the one provided free upon purchase) broke and not only did they send someone immediately to help me I was given a whole new set of lock and keys no questions asked. The only reason I had to give 4 stars were for pricing. Now this business is worth the price it very organized, easy to navigate, great customer service, extremely clean and secure . I just didn't appreciate being told it was $110 a month for my unit until swiping my card and deep into signing I was told a extra $11will be added to the bill every month for insurance. Unless i get my own. $110 is a bit pricey so bumping it up to $121 it's not the best feeling. I also understand we need insurance but please be upfront before taking payment. This place is great otherwise even the salesperson that made the mistake.

Absolute garbage facility. Rent was raised twice in a few short months for no reason…read more Moved out and forgot to leave keys since i hired a mover. Scheduled the move out 2 weeks in advance. Immediately called to let the property manager know i forgot the keys. i was told by their property manager (whose name i will leave private) that as long as they see my unique code used on the call box and that my unit is empty, they'll move me out and not to worry about returning the keys. I even offered to bring back the keys and was told it's not necessary. I am now being hounded by public storage to pay not only a month of rent AFTER i moved out, they're stacking monthly late fees on top of it since i didn't return the keys. They clearly didn't do a check out inspection when i left, or they would have called me and told me i needed to return the keys. Their new office "manager" is extremely rude and kept telling me she's new and she's just the messenger. Instead of helping me resolve my issue she sent my bill to collections. . She kept telling me the worker gave me the wrong information and i do indeed owe them this money. This is outrageous because they're letting me know almost 2 months later that i do owe them, even though THEIR employee misinformed me. Yes i understand this is on my contract, but that's why i CALLED TO SPEAK TO A MANAGER who assured me it was not an issue. It is not my fault in any way that your manager misinformed me, i would have brought the keys back that day. I spoke to the collections office and told her what happened, she said she does not feel that this is fair and she will take notes. Since then, i am not getting CONSTANT texts from public storage asking me to pay my balance. If they already sent me to collections, there's no reason that they continue to harass me instead of having the collections agency take care of it. Why would i ask a manager something, be told to disregard it, and then be charged and sent to collections? Absolutely disgraceful experience and I will never use public storage again. They are dishonest thieves.

They are always so friendly and have gone above and beyond for me on so many occasions. Second the facility is super clean and well maintained. I also really like that app interface so there's no locks to cut (although you can use a lock if you want to) but the lock can be controlled with your phone instead of a key. This technology also allows you to be able to monitor your unit from your phone at all times to be sure it's locked and secure. Overall, the office staff, combined with the cleanliness and technology they utilize made this a top pick for my storage unit needs. I would highly recommend it.

Their…read moreconfirmation assigned me a unit and listed a rental period beginning September 7, but it also clearly stated that signing the lease was required to finalize the rental. I never signed the lease, received a gate code or lock code, accessed the unit, stored property there, or took possession. A representative scheduled an appointment with me for 8:00 a.m. I could not locate my identification by that time, and at approximately 9:00 a.m. I attempted to complete the paperwork online before driving over. I discovered that everything had already been voided. When I called and asked whether my paid transaction had been canceled because I did not complete everything precisely at 8:00 a.m., the manager started talking over me ... basically, explaining that because I hadn't updated my ID by 8 AM on the day of my reservation, they canceled it... Then she told me to find another storage facility and hung up on me. Golden State then issued a receipt claiming that I had been moved out, even though I never moved in and their own email said the unsigned lease had not been finalized. A separate receipt shows that a $92 credit was submitted to my card. The treatment, sudden cancellation, contradictory dates, and inaccurate move out record were unacceptable. I have escalated the matter to corporate and requested a complete explanation and correction of the account history. I mistake bish negatively impacting the bottom line lol
