No complaints about the facility. A code to open the gate for entrance and then again to leave. Another code to open the door to the building and then of course all units have individual locks. Air condition works great and the buildings are very clean. My only warning is about the charges. They entice new customers with low rates and then BAM, 4 months later you get a HUGE increase. Mine monthly fee actually DOUBLED. I complained and they said they reevaluate the market rates every 4 months. 2X? And the price for a new customer on the web...only 18% higher. So be prepared once you are in there your monthly fee is going to go WAY UP 4 months later. read more

Customer service and pop up fees! Chasity Ann has an attitude and sneaks charges in and attempts to convince you that her special lock cannot be found anywhere else (it can for half the price). Plus, the elevators are straight out of a horror movie, the gates are terrible and don't always open and there's like 2 carts in the entire building. Increased rate by 20% after the first 3 months. Explanation was promotional rate period ended but they also mentioned they check market conditions and increase rates if need. I did not get a breakdown of what the increase was for. read more

This storage is really a bunch of thief's and please do not be late on Payment cause this place quickly from a 150$ storage after 2 month goes up to 740$ !!!!! And won't even give you any time of deal cause their place has air conditioning , big deal , I have 3 storages with them I have been paying for over 15 months almost 1000$ a month but no won't make a single discount neither any effort to give you a deal . The stuff is friendly but they have no power over an obvious greedy direction , please run from this place . read more

This place is extremely slimy. The electric doors to the building are often locked open, ie anyone can walk in if they get in the gate (which stays open long enough for about four cars to pass by) the second floor smells distinctly of dead bodies (I've found a dead animal under the house, this is far, far worse) All of the carts are either locked up or missing. (So they expect you to bring your items up and down multiple floors, w only one working elevator. They offer you one price to get you in and then raise the rent every few months, in just over one year it's gone from $106, to 145 and now (without any warning) just charged $186 monthly for an interior upper floor unit. I'be called multiple times and it's 20 min wait times and zero answers. Moving out next month. read more

dishonest people, I'm a single and at the beginning of the year 2024 I went in to lease two units and I was told they didn't have an increase for at least 10 or 11 months two months later I get my first increase now the payment is $456 per month. It started at $250 there should be a law on. This is not a way to do business. read more

I've been looking for a storage close to my home and decided to call to inquire about a price. I was told it was $90.00 for a 5X5 and because it was month to month, I was somewhat interested. However, when I asked if they did military discount they told me only for Active duty and the service member would have to come in. My husband is deployed so it's impossible. I wished companies would understand that wives serve also, maybe not the same as our husbands but differently. We're left behind with our home and children to fend for ourselves while our spouses serve our Country. My husband is gone for months sometimes a year at a time, he can't just walk in whenever they want. I have a military ID and I'm a spouse. When I asked "Not even for spouses?" She replied " mmm no." So definitely won't be using them nor will I recommend them. read more

They raised the rent within 6 months like other reviewers posted. They also call you 1 day after if you don't pay exactly same day so harassing you everyday. The price is really the main thing that is making me change facilities. The workers are nice and that I will give points for. However I believe they lure you with the first month free and then get you in and then raise the rent 6 months later. Seems to be an issue with other customers I see on here. read more

I went in to check the units and one of my main questions was if they increased pricing monthly they do so watch out cause once you got your stuff in the unit you aren't going to want to look around to find a cheaper better locked in price, you'll be stuck with their pricing changes. read more

Used unit for a year, price increased the month after I got in.. first month may be free, but they IMMEDIATELY up the price and keep it going as time goes on. I started at $110, then the 2nd month jumped to $142, and then starting Jan 2023, they upped it again via inflation to $154.00 per month.... Talk about easy! SmartStop made it really simple! I went to their website expecting a hassle. Nope! quick easy little application and sent a copy of my homeowners insurance policy. I went to see the unit the same day! bought a lock from them and done! I got lost in the maze of units the first time by myself. quite an impressive setup. entry and exit gates and security code to get through the door. I feel peace of mind knowing my stuff is safe. First, Nate and Zach are terrific, so I have zero complaint about service;however, when my 30 foot rv was stolen from this locked and coded facility in March 2022, I found it quite disconcerting that the facility did not file a police report for the gate mechanism that was tampered with, and I doubt they alerted other customers of this theft. Yes, I filed a police report and the theft was caught on security camera, but I wasn't allowed to see it. Read all the fine print and check your property often! read more

I am reviewing the Durango location, and must give TEN stars to Nate, the professional employee at SmartStop Storage. Nate truly cares about his customers and their concerns and because of Nate's assistance, my stress level regarding storage needs was significantly decreased. This facility is immaculate and safe. Nate explained everything to me in simple terms, his honesty impressed me to no avail, therefore, I highly recommend this facility and wish there were more people like Nate in this world! read more

Hallways are constantly dirty. No air conditioning on upper levels. Push carts only available during business hours aka if you have to carry something passed 6:00 PM have fun carrying it without any air conditioning. There are better storage units nearby. read more

This is the best storage facility in Las Vegas on Russell and Durango Zach the employee is awesome and hopefully all the employees are just like him if so this business is going to make it 100% he's great! read more
