The young woman who got me all checked in was efficient and friendly. She made an extra effort to find me the size of unit I needed and to make sure that it was ready for my use. I had spoken to the Manager at the beginning of April. I explained it was my son's items. She called him and left a message...SHE WAS SUPPOSED TO CALL ME BACK if he did not pay. She did not so I figured that the storage was paid. She was 100% completely aware of the situation but never contacted me to say he didn't pay. I called May 5th just to see if he paid the CURRENT MONTH of MAY - I was informed that I owed $110.08. It is a 4x4 unit at $32/month. THEY ABSOLUTELY REFUSED TO WAIVE THE LATE FEES and take my payment for April/May even though I had NEVER paid late before. The Owner outright said he doesn't get involved and the Comptroller was under the impression I had only been renting since January...because that's what the Manager had relayed. I DEFINITELY would NOT recommend dealing with this company. In order to get my 18 y/o son's Memories (H.S. Diploma and things his brother gave him) I am being FORCED to pay $125 before I can have access. THEY MAKE NO PROVISIONS FOR ANTYTHING. I am a 57 year old mother trying to help her son, whose had open-heart surgery and I'm not working....You would've thought they had some compassion...BUT THEY HAVE ZERO!!! ALL OF THEM!!! Do not store your items here! They have a rat/mouse problem. I had items destroyed after only five…read moredays of storage. I removed my items after I found the damage and they don't prorate the days you actually rent the unit, they keep the entire month's rent. And the insurance that you're obligated to purchase, does not cover any damage. Not to mention, they have no carts to help take your items to the unit. When I asked the clerk about the carts, she said "They had been stolen and that they just hadn't purchased anymore". She told me I could use a grocery cart that was outside, that had been stolen from some grocery store. I should have taken that as my first red flag. Horrible customer service and just a horrible experience overall. People like this should not run a business.
