0 STARS DO NOT USE THESE PEOPLE…read moreFirst things first I spoke to Robert multiple times on the phone and explained EXACTLY what was in my apartment. He provided a quote of 3 hours for 380 dollars. The day before they were set to show up my father and I began taking things out of the apartment and to the new house in order to move things along so the movers wouldn't have so many things because we want to meet only the three hours due to being on a budget which Robert was aware of. The night before they did not call to confirm like Robert said he would. I had to call him. He then confirmed he would be at my house between 9-10 and give my fiancée a call 30 minutes before arriving. The next morning we never got a call. My fiancée had to call him 3 separate times before he finally answered which he then said "we were having issues with the truck" but then also proceeded to say "we're getting a cafecito". Mind you at this point it is 12 in the afternoon. They finally showed up to my apartment at exactly 12:52, 4 HOURS after the time they were scheduled to arrive. Robert showed up with his "right hand man" who was in fact not a mover but instead a chef friend that he called the night before to come help him. At that point then spent 15 minutes "planning". In the apartment there was maybe 20-25 boxes (small to medium boxes NOT large or heavy boxes), two tv stands, two tvs, one couch, one bed, two nightstands, and three dressers. Throughout the entire move Robert and his friend took MULTIPLE (10+) smoke breaks which wouldn't be a problem except that each break was 20+ minutes. At one point then stopped to "organize" the truck (which only had my 25 boxes) for 45 minutes. When I went outside to see what was taking so long they were smoking and laughing at their phones not "organizing". I asked them on multiple occasions to please hurry up as I can tell at this point that Robert was INTENTIONALLY running the clock to get paid more. Upon arriving the the delivery location I began to move things myself because like I said he was INTENTIONALLY running the clock and I was on a budget. I moved EVERY BOX off the truck myself in less than 30 minutes. I moved the bed frame off the truck myself that took both of them to do at the apartment. I moved the ottoman by myself that took both of them to do. I did more by myself on the delivery and faster than they had done all day and that is why I'm saying they INTENTIONALLY ran the clock because I know how long it took to move these things. When it came time for payment I was flabbergasted at the price because they took 7 and a half HOURS to move very little things. I spent some time going back and forth with Robert seeing as how he was even trying to KEEP my deposits and not reduce it from the final price and his words were "this is what it is". He was charging me 970 dollars when my original quote was $370, I then had to use my tuition money because I had no way else to pay him. He then had the AUDACITY to ask me if they did a fantastic job, which I then told him absolutely not. I told him he took WAY too much time doing things other than moving my home and he tried to justify his actions. There is no justifying what this man did to me and my fiancée. Then when reviewing my items I realized he broke parts of my nightstand, my dresser and scratched my brand new wall twice and chipped the paint off my ceiling. When brought to his attention he left my fiancée on read and has yet to answer. This man is a SCAMMER he promises a million things and doesn't deliver on a single one except taking your money. Please save yourself the trouble and HIRE SOMEONE ELSE. NEVER USE THESE PEOPLE.

So I asked about purchasing a box, they said it was $5 (excessive) and I showed a competitors price which was half of theirs and they said oh no we're not going to match that our quality is better. So I said ok what makes it better? She said it's double walled, so I showed her the description of the competitor and sure enough it was the same exact box. She then said ok well we're not going to match that. Search TM Packaging (or any other packaging company) if you're in Miami if you want better prices. This store has a 100%+ markup on competitors. Ridiculous. I will be removing my mailbox after the end of the month.

I had to move from Chicago IL to Richmond VA, alone, and after experiencing severe mental trauma, I decided handling it myself was too much and hired a moving company. I chose Midland because I saw on a website that they were family owned and veteran owned, two very important things to me. We discussed terms, and were off to the races. After picking up my items on July 28, I had a guaranteed delivery date, as per our contract, of August 5. Two days before delivery I said all my goodbyes, got in my car and took off for my new life adventure. When I got to Richmond, what did I find? NOTHING. After calling many times, I finally spoke to Dominique at Midland, and found she was INCREDIBLY rude and patronizing. I was told that my guaranteed delivery date was a typo, despite being signed by both the company driver and myself, and they would not honor it. Two WEEKS after, and calling them nearly every day, I was told my lifelong belongings were due to be delivered on either August 27 or 28. My mother booked a $900 flight on short notice, as since my classes have started I cannot be present to receive my belongings, and flew out to Richmond. I am now writing this review, the night of August 28, after being told my items never even made it into transit, and are still a week out from scheduled delivery. I have NO WORDS to express how furious I am. I moved across the country to forge a new path, and was made a fool by trusting this malicious, manipulative company. Nearly every day this past month I have called, and have been ignored, patronized, lied to, and manipulated. Do not give this company one red cent.
