Todd was our driver to LAX. He arrived early, the car was clean, and Todd was informative, friendly, and professional. Also, the price was affordable. Definitely give them a try! read more

WORST shuttle service I ever used. I have always used the RoadRunner shuttle service to get from Thousand Oaks to the LAX airport and back but they recently went out of business and recommended SmartShuttle as a replacement. I landed at LAX at 9:50 pm got my luggage and went to the side walk only to realize I had been given no information on how I was supposed to meet my shuttle. I searched through all of my emails and in the fine print of one of the zillion emails they sent, I found a number to call. I called the office to let them know I was ready for pick up and was told they would contact my driver who would then call me to set up a pick up. 30 minutes later I got a call from an unknown number. When I answered, I heard "This is Gary, where are you." It was the most unprofessional conversation. He was very unfriendly and irritable. I told him where I was located at the airport and he said that he still had to call more people so it would be "a while" and hung up. 50 minutes later I was on the verge of canceling and taking a Uber when the van FINALLY rolls up (I had been on the curb for 1.5 hours). Once in the car I find he is having another customer help with the paperwork. She hands me the papers to sign and the two of us are tasked with figuring out the best route to take and in which order the 5 people in the van should be dropped off. Everyone was angry and one other person cancelled their ride. He drops the first person off and then somehow the GPS stops working and we're lost in Agora Hills in the middle of the night. I was happy to be the next person off so I just told him how to get to my house but I felt bad for the others. I did not get home until 2:30 am. Also, o the long ride the driver mentioned that he had actually been driving for Smart Shuttle since 4 am that morning and would be starting a shift again at 6 am the following day. That did NOT make me feel like I was safe. I will never use this service again! read more

When looking for a town car I saw the reviews and thought I would go with Smart Shuttle and when I priced other places they were the cheapest. Remember you get what you pay for. They gave me a quote and even e-mailed me everything they were going to charge me. Two days before our trip I get an e-mail that they already had charged me and had under quoted me and charged my credit card for almost $25 more than they quoted me. Didn't even call to tell me. When I called to talk to them about the extra charge all they kept telling me is they under quoted me. They didn't want to listen and just said that's the way it is. Very unprofessional! You just dont charge someones account for more money, don't tell them and then just ignore the person. I did call back later and cancel, told them I wanted a refunded. They told me it would take a few days but they would cancel my ride. A few days later I did receive my refund. UGH! read more

I had my email ignored and was hung up on by a representative on the phone. If you want to be confident you actually have a ride to make your flight I would find another company. read more

Used to and from LAX in October. Both drivers, Reggie and Ryan were excellent...very friendly, helpful and on time. Both drove safely. Had good conversations with both of them. Vans were clean and comfortable. Will recommend Smart Shuttle and use again. read more

I would love to endorse this company, but I can't. Perhaps they are good with events, but my experience using them for airport shuttle has been terrible. I am currently sitting in a cab after waiting 1 1/2 hours with still no pickup. This is not the first time I've had an extended wait. I am a regular business traveler and unfortunately won't be able to use Smart Shuttle again. read more

I should have read the other Yelp reviews before booking with Smart Shuttle. I made reservations for my daughter to be picked up from school and taken to and back from LAX. I booked a 10:00 AM pick up, so my daughter could attend her 8-9 AM class. Late the evening before the pick up, I received an email indicating she would be picked up at 8:15, so, obviously, she could not attend her class. They said I reserved a shared shuttle and that was the time they could pick her up. Her flight didn't leave LAX until 12:45 (scheduled to accomodate her school schedule). For her return, we had to change her flight to a day later than originally scheduled. I emailed the company immediately (more than 48 hours in advance) and requested a confirmation. The only response was to confirm the airline. I called Smart Shuttle the morning of my daughter's return flight to confirm they would pick her up and the time she would arrive. They told me to have her call when she landed to let them know where she was. She was frantically calling me to find out where she should go and who would be picking her up. After more than 2 hours, and several phone calls, she was picked up. Again, I was told that, since it was a shared shuttle, they would be there when it worked into the schedule with everyone else. Okay - so, if the variation on time of reservation of shuttle is 2 hours - this should be VERY CLEAR in the confirmation. This is the first Yelp review I have ever done.... read more

I do not recommend this service. The driver who took me to Burbank was doing 75 mph on the 101 and was a tailgater. I had to ask him to slow it down, but didn't have it in me to ask him to back off other drivers. Here it is four days later and I am sitting outside at the airport in the heat because they forgot me! They billed me, but did not keep to our agreement/contract. Laura the dispatcher couldn't have been more rude about the miss and refused to give me to a supervisor. This company won't be in business much longer behaving like they do. Thakfully the Super Shutlre dispatcher on the ground hooked me up and my ride is pulling up now. He said he hears a lot of complaints about this not so smart shuttle company and to only use bigger companies like Prime Time or his. Fuming in Burbank. read more

The ONLY reason I am EVEN giving them a 1 star despite being a loyal customer to them for years , is due to the way I have been treated as a CUSTOMER. Their service is great , I have seen them evolve as well as expand . Their drivers have always been a delight to work with , very well mannered , polite and always on time . My ONLY issue with this company is their customer service representatives or I should say representative, Laura out of their Camarillo office , she is rude and condescending and clearly lacks ALL ability to communicate with customers . I have stopped using smart Shuttle all together and no longer recommend them to my family and friends . I now use Uber and Lyft , once Smart Shuttle gets rid of Laura I will go back to being one of their customers . Smart shuttle if you are reading this get rid of Laura she is rude , and clearly customers are not her priority her only priority is collecting a check . read more

Find another way to get from the airport! We made a reservation for a pickup and were picked up 2 hours after the assigned time that they emailed the night before. They had paired us with another party that was coming in an hour later on an international flight. They did NOT call to say it would be late. When I called after waiting for 30 minutes they said our driver was 8 minutes away. The driver called 20 minutes later saying he was now 8 minutes away but when he picked us up he informed us that we would be waiting with him at a coffee shop for the next hour as we wait for the other party. The shuttle was very old and the air conditioner was broken and the most of the windows did not open. The shuttle seemed to have no shocks and the bumps on the road made us bounce the whole way. When we called to complain about the service the supervisor after hearing about my story instead of apologizing she said "what do you want?" I said a discount or free ride. She informed me that for a shared ride waiting 1.5-2 hours is part of the process. I looked at the email confirmation they sent and it said 30 minutes to a max of 1 1/4 hours. There was no mention of this wait on the website nor did the anyone tell us when we made the reservation. She grudgingly gave me a discount saying "You got home didn't you!" Our pickup was set up from an airport hotel that the supervisor informed us should not have been made. Regardless, it did not effect the service I received. If the reservation agent said we had to meet at the airport we would have taken the airport shuttle to the airport and still would have needed to wait 2 hours at the airport without hearing from Smart shuttle about the delay. read more

We recently used Smart Shuttle services. My daughters were going to Prom, so I needed reliable and affordable transportation. Their limo prices were very reasonable. The driver Sandy, was prompt on arrival. She and I exchanged phone numbers (just in case). She was very professional. She drove the kids and their friends to take pictures, dinner and prom venue. She dropped them off, picked them up and delivered everyone home safely. The limo was very nice and clean. I would highly recommend Smart Shuttle services to anyone. I look forward to using their services again. read more

The shuttle got here 15 minutes early and left without me. They called my hotel room to say they had arrived, and it took me 10 minutes to put on my shoes, wait for the elevator, and walk to the lobby. By the time I got to the lobby they had left. They charged me a fee to pick me up several hours later. They didn't tell me on the phone that I would be charged again, they just did it. I don't like that they can just charge my credit card whenever they want without telling me beforehand. When I called to ask about the charge, the person on the phone made it sound like she was doing me a huge favor by even sending the shuttle and said she can just cancel the shuttle. That's obviously not a helpful suggestion if I have to get to the airport. read more

If I could give negative stars I would. Last week I ordered a large 50 person coach bus with air conditioning and a bathroom. I used the same bus last year for an event out in Ojai. However, this year an old beat up yellow school bus arrived. I thought it was some cruel joke that was being played on me. There was no communication from the company letting us know we were getting a dirty, smelly school bus from the 1970's. Apparently the driver advised the coach bus we ordered has been broken down for months. I paid over $1,000 and the company did not even care that they did not provide the same service I paid for. I called the main office and they stated there was nothing they could do -absolutely no customer service. They were rude, unprofessional and told me to contest the charge. Every time I call there is never a supervisor working. This is an extremely un-ethical company and I will be filing a complaint with the Better Business Bureau. I would HIGHLY avoid this company if you are looking for a large bus as they will not provide the service paid for. I had elderly people in my group that were getting heat stroke being on the old school bus because there was no air conditioning. read more

I used for 1st time Port Hueneme to LAX. Driver a little early but ok. One other pick up on way to airport which didn't shorten arrival time. Pick up on return was quick. I booked with smart shuttle for a ride to and from LAX. My ride TO the airport was great! (Nice Hispanic gentleman who was 10 minutes early). I'm giving one star because my pick up ride FROM LAX was an HOUR AND HALF late, the communication with the operator during my wait time at the airport was horrible, and the customer service (when I called to make a complaint) was rude!! ..... While waiting at the airport the operator on the phone told me 3 times that my ride would be arriving in "just fifteen more minutes." Which was a LIE. I waited curb side the whole time. If I would have known it was going to be an hour and a half wait, I would have waited inside or found another ride home!! It was a nightmare. And when I called the next day asking to speak to a manager to complain, the girl on the phone tried giving me the run around stating that the manager will most likely "not give me a refund." She lied and said that with shared rides there is a grace period of "one hour and 30 minutes" that was written in the email confirmation. Which was a LIE. I checked and the email states a grace period of "one hour and fifteen minutes" (which is still insane!) anyways, after I asked again to speak to the manager, she got my number down and told me that a manager would call me back within the next day or two. I never received a call! Never booking with them again. read more

Smart Shuttle 805, so flying from eastern Canada to So Cal is never easy. Border delays, running through airports to catch the connections, and flying with 170 of your "closest" friends x 2 legs and then the madness of LAX. Then there is William. He is the guy that got us home. The guy that kept checking where we were when our plane arrived 45 minutes late. The guy that waited 30 minutes while we waited for our luggage to be "thoroughly" checked ( and not by TSA). The guy that found us curbside but asking all the right questions to pick us out of crowd of hundreds. He is the guy that got us through the maddening traffic safely, with expert knowledge of getting us away from the delayed traffic on the 101 by doing a bypass on 118. The drive home, the anchor leg of our journey was pure gold! So Smart Shuttle, with people like William, you will be getting more business with every time we fly and when friends come to visit. I am very glad that I met your team at the Camarillo Greek Festival. opah! read more

This agency gets a 1 because I cannot give it a 0. BEWARE BOOKING WITH THIS SHUTTLE SERVICE if you live in the San Luis Obispo County area! My husband booked a pick-up for 3:30am to go to the airport for a 5am flight. He called the Shuttle day before his pick up to confirm someone would be here to get him since 3:30 is so early! He got his confirmation from the man he spoke, was promptly charged for the Shuttle and then at 4am the morning he was to be picked up, he stood outside waiting for the Shuttle that never came. He finally got into our car and drive in to the airport himself. I called the Shuttle service later that morning, and was told they showed his booking, but did not know why he had not been picked up. I was told that the manager would get back to me after she came in at 9:30am and was made aware of the situation. At 2:30pm when I still had not heard from anyone, I called again. They refunded the charge for the Shuttle but did not know why no one had come to pick up my husband. If you can't depend on a Shuttle service, especially at 3:30am, why use? We will not use it again. It's stressful enough to fly these days but to book a trip to the airport on the Smart Shuttle Airport Shuttle and have no one show up to get you just adds unnecessary stress to an already stressful day. And to not get a courtesy follow-up call from the manager, well, we won't use Smart Shuttle again. Buyer beware! read more
