Several months ago, I began contacting Limousine companies for a lift on the day of our upcoming wedding. When I called Getting Out Limos, I reached the owner Tony, who was just wrapping up his vacation. I provided Tony with the details of pickup location, church location, and estimated timeline. In less than 2 minutes, he quoted me a flat-rate with tax and gratuity included, in his top of the line, Cadillac limousine. Tony and I spoke once or twice between the initial call and prior to the event, just to iron out the details. His professionalism and proactive work ethic is second to none! We had a great experience with Getting Out Limos. We used them for my husband's 50th to go to the Canyon Club. I called several Limo services to get quotes, not only did Tony beat the best price by a mile, he was also the most charming person i talked to that day. The service was anything but cut-rate. They were courteous, accommodating, and really went out of their way to be sure the evening was special. he was prompt, always returned calls quickly, all around professional. He surprised us with a bottle of killer red wine from Magnavino Cellars. This is one of our favorite wines and he had no way of knowing that. One of our group was running quite a bit late. Tony was so nice about it and even called the Canyon Club to smooth it out for us. We will absolutely use him again, probably for a wine tour in the near future. Tony, Patrick, Michael and everyone are great! I have used them a bunch of times now for Airport runs as well as going to Concerts and never once had a single issue with them. I have been in the Suv's as well as their stretch limos and they are always spotless and stocked well. Tony is classic, the most friendly driver I have always had. Going to the Airport I almost want to ride up front with him becasue he is so funny. Its like taking a drive with an old friend. He is also extremley professional as well, almost like a "Limo Butler" he is there when you want or need something but also just lets you sit back and enjoy the ride with the divider up or down. They have always been between 10 to 25 minutes early to pick me up, and always waiting for me when I get outside. I just booked my first wine tour with them, and I promise you their prices BLOW away the competition. Talking to Tony on the phone he told me all about the wineries they go to, and he is well connected with each one. When we started planning our wedding in a canyon in Ojai, CA, we knew that we would need to include a shuttle service in our budget as part of a requirement from our venue. It seemed easy enough, so we placed a deposit on our venue and put "shuttles" somewhere towards the bottom of our priority list. One month before the wedding, I remembered that little detail about the shuttle requirement and started calling the limo service companies that the venue had provided us with. It shouldn't have taken me more than 15 minutes: I needed 1 or 2 cars to take our guests back down the mountain and to their respective hotels. What could be so hard about that? "I'm sorry ma'am, but we no longer service that area since our limos came back damaged." What? Since when? Fine, then another company: "Ojai is out of our service area, so we're going to have to charge you a $100 travel fee in addition to our regular fees." Turns out it wasn't as easy as I'd planned. I called a total of 6 or so limo companies who were either out of our price range or outright refused to provide service due to the mountainous (albeit, paved) terrain. Then I got in contact with Tony. "Sure! We're very familiar with Ojai." Those were the most beautiful words I'd heard the entire week. In fact, they became my favorite words among all the vendor's I'd contacted. Other vendors were charging me their standard per vehicle/per hour rates which threw us over budget since we needed to get about 16 people transported to different locations in a span of 2 hours. Tony broke it down quick and easy-- No extra fees. No complaining about mountain roads. I told him exactly what I needed, he gave me a solution and custom price to go with it. I only wish I would have contacted Tony first. I made sure to request for the venue to add him to the vendors list to save future brides some headaches. So brides (and eager grooms), if you're planning your wedding in Ojai or the Ventura area, make sure you contact Tony and scratch "transportation" off your to-do list so you can move on to the next task, after all, that seating chart isn't going to color-code itself. read more

Never again! I made a reservation through Tony to be picked up from our home and to be dropped off to LAX for a family of five and he qouted me a price with tax and gratuity included roundtrip. I asked him again days before the pick up about the gratuity and he told me that its already included. He also instructed me to put the money in an envelop.We were picked up on time but as soon we were dropped to the LAX the driver named Rafael asked me for a tip after I handed him the envelop. I said that its already included and its in the enveloped. He said " its in here ? Tony doesnt give us the gratuity" while trying to open the sealed envelop. I said its all in there. He still asked me for a tip and i said "NO!" He got pissed and his voice got deeper and sounds very upset and asked for a tip for $20 and I said "NO" again and tried to walk away because my wife and my 3 small kids saw the drivers bad attitude. He got so upset and slammed the back door on his van and said few words and took off. Now two days before our scheduled pick up from LAX to our home , Tony sent an email saying he wont be able to pick us up due to van is damaged and being work on and not sure for the pick up... I used this service last year and Im sure they have other drivers and vans available to pick us up but he said they didnt and I dont believe it... My vacation was ruined because of this and I kept to my self and didnt tell my wife about it . I had to reach out to my sister to help us find someone to pick us up because we were still in a different country when I received Tonys email. Luckily we found another service ... Traveller beware. I LOVE Getting Out Limo's. Last Saturday my girlfriends and I took a trip for my best friends 30th. It was so fuun!!! Oh my gosh, Tony, our driver and the owtner, took us everywhere. We all met up in Sherman Oaks at 8:00 am on Saturday and drove up to Santa Barbara for a wine tour. We ate and drank at the most delicious wineries and that night he took us to our hotel in Santa Barbara. First thing Sunday he took us to the spa where we all got facials, massages, and mani/ped's. Tony can totally keep his own with the ladies, let me tell you. After our day at the spa he took us all back to our hotel for our bags and we drove to a delicious restaurant in Ojai. I booked a limo for my wife and her friends to goto brunch in West Hollywood for her birthday. I made appointment thru Tony. This was the 5th limo company I called to get a quote. Tony was the most personable and first one to offer me a flat rate. I told him pickup in Ventura @ 10am and probably return around 5pm. He said, "no problem". I chose to spend a little extra and go with the black Cadillac. He said that limo would be freshly painted by then and will look real sharp. He said I would get a confirmation about the details. I did and a few days before the date, I confirmed the pickup location. It was then they told me the limo couldn't get into the paint shop but is still real nice. My wife got picked up to go meet the group and head to Brunch. She called me around 2pm and said that the driver (Tony) said they need to leave because they need to get back in time to clean limo for the evening. She handed the phone to Tony and we discussed what we had talked about. He said "no problem". I looked at the confirmation email and noted there was no "arrival time" and no confirmation on the price...They got home around 4:45pm and that's when I saw the limo for the first time. It was in rough shape on the exterior. My wife told me the partition would not go up, so it was a little awkward that they didn't really have privacy. I learned to have, in writing, the entire itinerary. With that being said, I would book with them again (as long as it has a new paint job and the partition is functioning). read more

Decided to try this company based on the Yelp reviews and was glad I did. Their price was lower than the normal LAX rate but only because they do not automatically add the tip. I like having the choice but based on the great service they end up getting the right tip anyway. Tony was the driver for both bookings for my parents when they arrived and when they left. The thing that makes the difference is the communication. I received constant text updates from Tony when he was waiting for them to arrive. He let me know about Customs wait times and then confirmed when he had them in the car. For the return journey he let me know when he was 10 minutes from my house and then later confirmed when he had dropped them off at LAX. Most limo companies run around the same rate for airport runs (ones that are cheaper are generally cheaper for a reason!) so the customer service is the biggest way to make a difference.
