Mind you I received a confirmation email which means the reservation should be in their database. Both women I spoke to had quite a bit of attitude and lack of problem solving skills. One woman just put me on hold and then hung up :) Stephanie just tried to argue :) I called back when the scheduling department was open. I called the phone number on the website and asked for the scheduling department; 2 people just transferred me back and forth between each other when I asked for the scheduling department. When I called them out on this the woman on the phone just asked what I needed and was able to help me cancel my ride. And for some reason she was able to look up the reservation with the confirmation number ....

I kid you not, the driver was at the restaurant to pick me up within five minutes. Overall, it cost me about $20 with tip to go from Camarillo to Oxnard in about 10 minutes. So if you find yourself stranded or without transportation in the Conejo Valley, this taxi service is a good and viable option. They are open 24 hours, you can order online and they take cards.

At 7:15am, I started looking for Uber and thank the Lord I didn't wait for the last minute. As I began looking for an Uber, I come to find out they have none in my area. I have never seen this and the ones that were available were 60 dollars to 90 for 15 miles. I was so desperate, I clicked on those options and even those were not available. Now I was ready to have an anxiety attack and just die. Then my fiance made a suggestion and told me to call a cab. Never calling one before in my life. I had no clue where to even find one. So I went to Yelp and found this service. I went ahead and called out of desperation. Then a guy answers and says "we will be there in 20 minutes and it will be 30 dollars". I couldn't believe it, got a ride in a minute after trying to find one on Uber for 20 minutes. I ran downstairs and my driver Daniel was there in less then 20 minutes. Honestly I didn't any one was going to show, but thank God I was wrong. My driver Daniel came and picked me up. He was delightful and very understanding of my horrible morning. Daniel also took his time talking to me and got me at my meeting right on time. Now I understand the importance of the cab industry. Even though Uber and Lyft have taken over, you cannot compare the reliability of this cab service. While Uber and Lyft are asleep in the morning. I'm happy I found a reliable ride service who isn't. The driver arrived on time and communicated with me as they were approaching and we were immediately on our way. The ride was great I think because the driver understand how to drive with a passenger. Unlike the majority of my experience with Uber, who are not "professional" drivers. I was able to catch a nap as a result. I don't often, not drive myself to LAX, but they gave me pause for their professionalism, courtesy and price.

The downside with public transportation like this is you don't really know what types of people may join you on the trolley. Sometimes it's young groups of teens heading to the outlets, other times it's just nice people heading somewhere but sometimes it's uncomfortable homeless or disabled folks who need more assistance. I'm okay with this though because really, it's a short ride and everyone has a right to partake in the trolley because the drivers are In charge and they have rules! Some drivers are super nice and wait for everyone at the stops, others drive way too fast and skip stops if you don't pull the lever to let them know you need to stop. But overall, it's so fun for my daughter and it helps you walk around Camarillo to discover all the fun shops and places this town offers! I'd recommend at least one try on the trolley, but sometimes it's too full to take on more passengers! They really should get 2 going at this point.
