Had a close call this Saturday morning. Had a scheduled ride and called Friday to reschedule the afternoon pickup to a later time if possible due to the time they set, not mine. Should have stuck to it or have scheduled for a later time in the first place for the 2nd leg pickup. The entire reservation disappeared, although Ride On, the appointed transportation service, was there waiting on time to pick me up at the first leg's pick up location. Will not have a return ride if I go. Lesson learned. Do not disturb the set schedule that Senior Go has texted and decided for you or you will lose the entire trip if you cancel any part of it. read more

The driver of this company was beeping at me while I was helping my disabled sister into a wheelchair, the beeping noise startled my sister and she almost fell. Is that the type of people driving these vans? Dangerous! read more

One of the worst drivers out there. Be careful in a span of 2 miles saw the driver of vehicle 400 break multiple laws. Riding the shoulder and forcing his/her way back into traffic. Weaving in and out lanes on Victoria Blv. You been warned read more

To be honest, if I could leave a zero star on here, I would. To give them a one is generous. My mother is 85 years old and on dialysis. She requires medical transport three times a week. They send communication that the drivers will pick her up at 12:39 each of the three days. But most of the time the drivers are either late or they do not show up. Ventura Transit is paid by CenCal to provide medical transportation and yet they are putting their patients at risk. They do not communicate effectively with their third-party transport provider or the patient. There have been multiple times when the driver indicates that the time they were told to pick my mother up is completely different than the time that was texted to us. They are supposed to be supporting the most fragile population yet they are putting them at risk. At one point, it was 107° outside and my mom was left waiting for transport that never arrived. If I had not been watching on the ring camera to see what was going on, it could've been catastrophic. I came home and ended up taking her to dialysis myself. If there are any other options for you, take them instead of Ventura Transit. read more

The system to schedule rides needs to be reworked and please hire people who aren't 20 something year olds or act like kids.

This company is the epitome of arrogance, incompetence, and childish behavior when questioned on anything they behave like little 4 year olds that were caught with their hand in the cookie jar. Acting extremely evasive unable to be an adult and give an intelligent response. Yet demand respect without doing respectable things. Also life situations have the potential of changing and leaving these people in a position where they'll need a ride somewhere and can get treated in the same ugly fashion they've been treating others read more

I would give 0 star if that was an option. They picked up my mom way too early (4am) she needed to be picked up at 5am, she is wheelchair bound and not mobile, when they reached the location, they left her outside. Thankfully my father followed them and took her inside. Her pick up time from the location was 8:45am but she was not pick up until 9:30am. If they provide medical transport then they should know that this is patient neglect. read more

This is the worst transportation company ever , they've left me high and dry on many occasions and taken me to wrong addresses , they have some of the most disrespectful drivers in the business. And if you have ever have to call to get help from their customer service ? , Your more then likely to get no answer from anyone cause the phone just goes to voicemail!. If you can avoid Ventura Transit? Do it! read more

Truly awful in every way. Unreliable, incompetent, rude, dismissive. For medical transport, you may want to look anywhere else. The problem is they are all owned by one corporation. Rather it's Smooth, Ride-on, VTS, or the others, it's all the same. They have let me down 80% of the time. The owner's name is Masood Babaeian. read more

Awsome all around. Would recommend this company to anybody thank you smart shuttle for getting me my appointment safe and on time

The drivers were courteous and got us to our destination without any problems. I will definitely use them again.

I was to be picked up from a clinic in LA @ 2:45pm and was finally picked up at 5 pm supposedly due to a glich in the system and even though they called another driver to pick me up he failed to show up. I arrived at my house @ 7:15pm. I'm diabetic and only had something to eat at 9:30 am. My sugar dropped due to lack of food for almost 10 hours. I called and spoke to supervisor Janessa Navarro who promised to look into this issue for me and get back to me the next day and it has now been 4 days and have yet to hear back from her. I called today to speak with her and she kept sending me to her VM which was full and did not allow for me to leave a msg. So I called back and left a verbal mssg with a staff member @ 9 am today and I have yet to receive a call back. This is awful customer/patient service and it's obvious that they don't care about the patients who need to use their services or theit well being. I require this ride service as I can't drive myself to LA due to dizziness and vertigo otherwise I would never use them again! read more

So about two months ago, my son started using the Ventura transit to get to his appointments. He special needs and has a lot of appointments and so do I so I thought it would be good for him to do this on his own and I accompany him once or twice. The first time went pretty OK but the second time the person was getting lost and confused. Just getting to our house. Then the time I took it with him, the person didn't know how to drive and almost got into an accident. She too, of course struggled to find our house and I had to give her directions. I even had to give her directions on how to get to his appointment where it was at. Shouldn't they know all that like an Uber driver doesn't ask you for directions right? So it's been going on like this for a little while, especially with them picking him up late, so he almost misses his appointments then taking an hour or two in order from him to get back from an appointment it literally takes him half a day for one appointment. The final straw was this morning when a guy called me saying their computer system was down. They didn't know who they were supposed to pick up and when and that they were getting him at 8:30 when his appointments at 8:30 all the way in Camarillo so I told the guy to cancel it that I would be taking him mind you this is 730 this morning. Luckily I was around and wasn't busy. Otherwise I probably would've had to pay a fee from the doctors office for missing the appointment like most places do these days. We made it to the appointment and after the appointment stopped to get a few things we needed at the grocery store. That's when my son got a call in his phone from somebody at Ventura transit asking him where he was and why he wasn't at home when he explained everything The gal at the other end, got all pissed off at him and started cussing him out. Mind you there was people around us, listening into the conversation, cause he had it on speakerphone how embarrassing that must've been for him. I was so mad I filed a grievance with Gold coast as well as Ventura transit anybody who's had a bad experience with them should report it as well. They need to really vet their employees and get people number one who speak English and can follow directions and be more pleasant with their customers instead of cussing them out. read more

I don't understand how this company is still around. Obviously the management doesn't care about reviews from public. I witness all the time their drivers parking their vans WHEREVER they want, blocking paths in narrow streets. If there were no parking spot and you have to load/unload patients, I would understand. However, even when there are plenty of parking spaces including the ones for the disabled, the drivers still choose to park in the middle of the streets so that they don't have to walk few extra steps to help patients. And it's unsafe for the patients if you think about it. You're unloading people in the middle of streets where there can be cars coming from the other side. What gives them the right to override safety and traffic rules that other people follow? My conclusion is either 1. VTS doesn't train their drivers properly and doesn't care about passengers. 2. Drivers did not learn properly from their parents. Their parents did not teach them they're not king of the world and they need to follow rules. Shame on you. read more

JANESSA the supervisors scams the state for medi-cal fraud for the company cause they bill cencal for fake rides. The drivers literally drive to locations and straight falsified pickups and drop offs. all her employees especially JARED talks trash about her cause when they need help she's never around so she's like a Pretend Supervisor that doesn't supervise. If I could give a zero star I would! Jared the driver is the most bitter person and the worst driver. He literally complains and curses at other drivers and tells all the riders that he feels sorry for us and we shouldn't take there service the whole way to and from appointments. I'm Are employees suppose to tell customers how much they hate there own company? He's delusional cause he thinks he's the best driver yet he has the most complaints. I live in a friendly neighborhood and kids play outside and when he pulls up he calls children under the age of 8 little pieces of sh** Children that are innocent. The VA banned him from cursing out Vets and using racial slurs and derogatory predatory remarks to women of color. But like he says His own boss is a C*** and scams the state out of thousands so you can't expect much from any of the employees. It's sad they defraud the most vulnerable in our society and because we are low income nobody seems to care. All we can do it just keep reporting incidents to the state and if anybody is ever so unlucky to ride with this company I suggest you record your drive cause that's the only way to prove their fraud and misconduct. Submit complaints to the website below cause people don't even know they are using there insurance to bill fake hours. Stay safe everybody https://apps.dhcs.ca.gov/stopfraud/Default.aspx read more

I have filed numerous grievances against VTS/Smart Shuttle * Incompetent and extremely unreliable translation services * Vehicles are filthy and grungy * Personelle turn-over is continuous * Vehicles have broke downs 3 times while I was in them. * Have taken me to the wrong address several times. * No Show - 4 times * Constantly late, most times over 1 hour. They run their drivers ragged. Over book them without any breaks or lunches. Have had several tell me this. One even said... "If you call dispatch and ask anything, It's a guarantee they are lying to you". read more

Terrible, been with them for over half a year for dyalisis transportation 3x a week, and I'm now fed up. I already revamped my ride for march and THEY SAID THEY WOULD ACCOMADATE MY PICK UP TIME ADJUSTMENT. But according to everything I'm receiving and getting treated really upsets me. They are incompetent and don;t deserve a contract with the state or gold coast insurance. They still have me on hold!!!! it's unbelievable. They took me off their schedule on Friday, December 9 for my physical therapy appointment. i scheduled that appointment on November 18th. I could not believe it, i burst into tears. They did this crap to me when i went to Advantage Physical Therapy also, Advantage wouldn't let me go back there, i missed too many appointments. i was helpless, there was nothing i could do. it wasn't my fault. Worst company in history. If you are looking for a reliable non emergency medical transportation, they are not the one. You will miss surgeries, doctor visits and worse. Secondly, staff places you on hold without saying there name and they hang up. This happened multiple times. It is very disgusting what they are doing and they should be banned. They have been giving my mom a hard time and the run around too many times. They are very unprofessional. Riders shouldn't have to stress over getting a ride to the doctors office. Also no one owns up to there mistake. No one in this company has an idea what is going on, and they will say that literally, " I don't know what is going on, I wasn't the person that helped you." I called this company to schedule a cab pickup 30 minutes prior to when I needed them. I confirmed twice with the dispatcher that they could be there because I had an extremely time sensitive appointment, and could have easily called another company if they could not make it. 10 minutes after the agreed upon arrival time, no cab to be found. I called the dispatcher, who claimed that the driver "did not hear the dispatch" and would be there in Another 10 minutes. 10 minutes later, I finally get a call from the driver ASKING ME FOR A CROSSTREET. I was already 20 minutes late and he didn't even know how to find my house! The driver missed my pickup time by half an hour, never even would have shown up had I not called back. Needless to say I was extremely late to my appointment, which cost both time and money. Completely unprofessional and unacceptable. read more

This is the first time I have written a negative review. Called to get info on the cost of a private van to LAX. The person who answered the phone was very nice and helpful. She asked how many people and how many stops. I didn't really think about stopping to pick up other family members. She said it's only $10 for each additional stop. Because the stop we would need was in Santa Monica I made a point of saying so thinking additional fee would be more. She said no it's just $10. I needed to confirm with my family so I said I would call back. Called back to make reservations. I was transferred to Paula. As I was giving her our info she tells me that the additional pick up would be $20. Told her I was quoted $10. She said because it was out of area it's more. I said I mentioned SM and was still quoted $10. In a rude voice "I don't know who you talked too. Do you have a name? " I said no but it was the person who answered the phone I recognized her voice. She told we , with an additude, well they don't know, it's $20. In stead of saying I'm sorry you were given the wrong information and honoring the price. The next thing that came to my mind was are they now going to change the cost on the first pick up of $175 so I asked if I could talk to the manager. And with more attitude she said she was. I said I changed my mind and she said well that's fine. I then said I think I will review in Yelp. She said you do that. It wasn't the additional cost that was the problem but her attitude. It gave we little confidence in the over all service we would recieve. read more

Used VTS for my wedding, they where awsome!!! They worked with me and my wife to get all of our guests to and from LAX and from the hotel to the venue. Yes, for all you wine lovers out there they even have a very fun and elegant wine tour around several of the local vineyards and stopped at a cute little local resturant for a meal.
