I was very happy with my experience with Roadrunner for a roundtrip between Simi Valley and LAX…read more My domestic flight was leaving at 7:30 am and the reservation system for the shared ride suggested a 5:45am estimated arrival time. I wanted to arrive at least 2 hours prior to get through TSA and to have a decent breakfast before the flight, so I overrode it and requested 5:15am arrival. My confirmation call informed me that my pickup time would be 3:45 am which seemed extremely early, but I accepted it because I could not afford to miss this flight. The driver was a friendly gentleman who arrived on time and got us (picked up a 3rd passenger) to LAX around 4:40 am (no traffic jams). On my return trip, I only waited about 5 minutes for the driver after I made the pickup request call. I was the only passenger and the driver was very friendly and nice. The vans used for both trips were clean and seemed fairly new. I picked Roadrunner over Uber/Lyft because I wasn't sure I can trust some random driver picking me up around 4 am. I picked Roadrunner over Prime Time Shuttle because Prime Time outsources their service to Uber/Lyft (see aforementioned concern).

I always hate how dusty and dirty my car is whenever I park at the LAX long term parking lots. I'd much rather prefer getting some work done on my phone while letting the Roadrunner staff drive me back and forth. Their drivers are really nice. I always tip them well. The website is easy to work with, and I prefer using that over calling, but my wife prefers calling customer Service because she says they are always really nice over the phone. Whatever works for you.

Camarillo Trolley - These are what the trolley stop signs around town look like!

My daughter loves it and it really helps us go across town without spending so much money on gas. The downside with public transportation like this is you don't really know what types of people may join you on the trolley. Sometimes it's young groups of teens heading to the outlets, other times it's just nice people heading somewhere but sometimes it's uncomfortable homeless or disabled folks who need more assistance. I'm okay with this though because really, it's a short ride and everyone has a right to partake in the trolley because the drivers are In charge and they have rules! Some drivers are super nice and wait for everyone at the stops, others drive way too fast and skip stops if you don't pull the lever to let them know you need to stop. But overall, it's so fun for my daughter and it helps you walk around Camarillo to discover all the fun shops and places this town offers! I'd recommend at least one try on the trolley, but sometimes it's too full to take on more passengers! They really should get 2 going at this point. But I'm thankful for the ease and fun it has brought to us.

I honestly wish I could give this review 10 stars. While our whole trip was lovely, these guys…read morereally made the trip with their kindness, helpfulness, and welcoming attitudes. We visited town for a few days from SD for Cowboys Training Camp, and lucked out by meeting the coolest cabbie ever when we got off the train. Manuel was very cool about letting us know that it was a $5 flat fee to our hotel, but if we wanted to stop by the liquor store as we'd requested, then he'd have to run the meter. We were of course fine with that, and appreciated his honesty. For the next several days, we called him whenever we needed a ride to the training camp, the salsa festival, various restaurants, bars, etc., and he was the epitome of customer service. He showed up exactly when he said he would, was courteous, gave us info about Oxnard (we'd never been there before), found some tourist pamphlet stuff for us, recommended restaurants and nicely warned us away from one we wanted to try but he knew had a really horrible rep with the health dept. At any rate, if you need a cab in Oxnard - you've got to give him a call. Manuel's direct number is 805-509-9274, and his dad Gabriel (speaks mostly Spanish) is at 805-844-5739. That's all - a nice, friendly, two-man family operation. Tell 'em Kristin & Steven sent ya!!! You won't regret it.

Cheap, fast, polite. I trusted them to get my daughter from the train to CSUCI…read more Discount if you book online first.
