I do love the ease of a train ride. The station has an amazing coffee shop inside and lots of seating for travelers indoor and outdoor.

Place is always super clean ! Security guards always on point , all workers are super friendly !! On point with train ticket , specials and knowing where to go ! I recently bought the 10 rides for $50 going to Santa Barbara !! What a perfect deal ! I love riding the train and it's awesome that if you do miss the train there's a bus !!! It's a lot of fun !!

I took the Amtrak from the Oxnard Station back to San Diego when I was visiting Malibu. You can read my review I posted earlier of the train station in San Diego but I am not a fan of taking the Amtrak. It takes way way longer than it would to drive yourself, like twice the time plus it's more expensive for a train ticket than it would be for gas. Also, don't get me started on how uncomfortable and dirty the train is. Never again. Aside from the Amtrak itself, the Oxnard Station is not bad the only reason I'm giving it more than 1 star. They do have a cute little cafe located inside that makes handcrafted coffee drinks and they also sell snack and little items. I ordered an Iced Lavender Latte and bought some Poptarts for the ride. Definitely a better train station than others.

I come here for the Greyhound station. The staff at the counter is always friendly and upbeat. I get over-sized packages shipped here much cheaper than using FedEx or UPS. Convenient location and the round-about out front allows parking for loading and unloading.

If you have the Amtrak App on your mobile device, you can check if the train is on time or delayed. It may or may not notify you of any delays longer than several minutes. There's someone behind the counter that can assist you with tickets. Or you can use the kiosk. Amtrak is a great alternative especially nowadays with gas prices. Next summer , I'll get the multi ride package as I find myself in SB a lot in the summer. It's a nice little change of scenery. I always ride during the day and have felt safe. Unsure how it is at night but this area can be rough. Staff is nice and trains are pretty clean. Plus , we have a great coffee spot at this Amtrak .. Dolce Vita. A must !!!!

I wanted to arrive at least 2 hours prior to get through TSA and to have a decent breakfast before the flight, so I overrode it and requested 5:15am arrival. My confirmation call informed me that my pickup time would be 3:45 am which seemed extremely early, but I accepted it because I could not afford to miss this flight. The driver was a friendly gentleman who arrived on time and got us (picked up a 3rd passenger) to LAX around 4:40 am (no traffic jams). On my return trip, I only waited about 5 minutes for the driver after I made the pickup request call. I was the only passenger and the driver was very friendly and nice. The vans used for both trips were clean and seemed fairly new. I picked Roadrunner over Uber/Lyft because I wasn't sure I can trust some random driver picking me up around 4 am. I picked Roadrunner over Prime Time Shuttle because Prime Time outsources their service to Uber/Lyft (see aforementioned concern).

I always hate how dusty and dirty my car is whenever I park at the LAX long term parking lots. I'd much rather prefer getting some work done on my phone while letting the Roadrunner staff drive me back and forth. Their drivers are really nice. I always tip them well. The website is easy to work with, and I prefer using that over calling, but my wife prefers calling customer Service because she says they are always really nice over the phone. We visited town for a few days from SD for Cowboys Training Camp, and lucked out by meeting the coolest cabbie ever when we got off the train. Manuel was very cool about letting us know that it was a $5 flat fee to our hotel, but if we wanted to stop by the liquor store as we'd requested, then he'd have to run the meter. We were of course fine with that, and appreciated his honesty. For the next several days, we called him whenever we needed a ride to the training camp, the salsa festival, various restaurants, bars, etc., and he was the epitome of customer service. He showed up exactly when he said he would, was courteous, gave us info about Oxnard (we'd never been there before), found some tourist pamphlet stuff for us, recommended restaurants and nicely warned us away from one we wanted to try but he knew had a really horrible rep with the health dept. At any rate, if you need a cab in Oxnard - you've got to give him a call. Manuel's direct number is 805-509-9274, and his dad Gabriel (speaks mostly Spanish) is at 805-844-5739. That's all - a nice, friendly, two-man family operation. Tell 'em Kristin & Steven sent ya!!! You won't regret it.

This was my first time taking the shuttle to and from LAX. I took an uber to the pickup location in Ventura, which is on the left side of the hotel. The shuttle arrived on time and it went onward to the Oxnard pickup location. The ride to LAX was smooth, under 1.5 hours. The driver was friendly and professional. On my return trip, it was easy to find the orange shared rides pick up locations. I arrived earlier than expected so wanted to take an earlier shuttle than I originally scheduled for. The driver easily accommodated this. The ride back to Ventura was also smooth. As I was exhausted from my trip I slept practically the whole ride back. This is a great economical option to get to and from LAX, especially for a long trip since the parking fees can be quite costly.

The vans are rough and loud, in fact they are so rough, some of the bumps are almost painful. I tried them again recently and for some reason the driver took PCH from LAX to Ventura. This was a hot July Saturday so we shared the road with the thousands of people that were going to the beach that day. WAZE and Google maps showed light traffic on the freeways. It is mind boggling that the driver would take the route she did. I am determined to make this my last ride on them. I checked Uber prices and if there are two people, Uber is slightly more expensive. If there are 3, Uber is less expensive. Plus the Santa Barbara Airbus now stops in Oxnard.
