I envisioned something in heart shaped form, double layers, with white buttercream piping in a clean, vintage design with all of its beautiful girly ruffles & borders. I was unfortunately met by a younger male who was willing to take my order but couldn't answer any questions about whether or not the bakery department could accomplish my wants/needs. We shop at Ocean Supermarket at least once a week, as the prices on certain items here are pretty…read morereasonable. This supermarket is located inside the Park Victoria Plaza in Milpitas, California. It seems like this is a Vietamese run and owned supermarket, with a select few staff who also speak Chinese, as well. This is a very older supermarket in a smallish shopping center, but also has plenty of parking spaces. The inside is very old, and could really use a remodel to make it more modern, but for a supermarket, it does the job. The cleanliness isn't quite there compared to a 99 Ranch Market or other chain supermarket, but thus one seems like a single location, non chain. The prices here are pretty reasonable, especially for the fruits, not sure how they are able to compete with other stores and offer fruits are relatively low low prices. Oranges are $0.49 LB! These is the cheapest I've seen, even previously, they've offered them at $0.39 LB too. Again, not sure how they can sell them so cheap! We also really like the Fried Tofu they sell here for $4.99, the only supermarket that sells this kind. It's large sized, fried square tofu puffs. We get this every visit we come here. They sell alot too! The customer service here is really non-existent, meaning there is basically none, unless you speak their language, which is vietnamese. They automatically start talking to you in vietnamese, not much english with the cashiers, although they do understand basic english. Plenty of parking in the lot, so no worries there and they also have plenty of shopping carts for customers to use. However, I wish they would provide some shopping cart corrals for the parking lot, so customers have a place to return it after use. Overall, just a 3 star. Basic supermarket, nothing spectacular.

As we browsed around, we noticed that some items were actually more affordable than what we're used to seeing, which definitely caught our attention. We also came across a really good deal on shrimp, so it seems like there are some worthwhile bargains if you take the time to look around. The store wasn't busy at all, and we did notice that a few sections had empty shelves. It also felt like certain areas could use a little more attention when it comes to cleanliness, which would make the shopping experience more enjoyable. Overall, I think this is a place worth stopping by, especially if you're looking to save a little on groceries. We'll likely come back again to explore more of their selection and take advantage of some of the better-priced items.

1 star: Extremely unpleasant checkout experience…read more I had an extremely unpleasant experience at the Milpitas location on 9/9/2026, at approx. 11:46 AM involving a cashier named Ha Ngoc. When I entered the checkout lane, Ha Ngoc had left her register to chat with a coworker in the lottery section despite customers waiting. After returning and scanning my groceries, she left the scanned items next to herself rather than moving them down the counter so I could easily reach and bag them. I politely asked her to move them down. She gave me a side-eye and only moved them slightly. After she finished scanning, I politely asked again. Instead of responding, she turned her back to me and ignored me despite my saying "excuse me" multiple times. She then began yelling in Vietnamese, which I do not understand. I asked to speak with a manager and ultimately with upper management because the situation continued to escalate. I was particularly uncomfortable when Ha Ngoc continued discussing the incident with other customers who had NOT witnessed what happened. What was especially disappointing was that all I wanted at that point was a simple apology. Instead, Ha Ngoc repeatedly responded, "No sorry." I eventually spoke with another management staff member, who listened to me and apologized multiple times. I appreciated her professionalism, and I want to make clear that my complaint is specifically about the conduct of the cashier involved, not the staff member who ultimately helped me. I emailed management afterward with a detailed account of the incident and requested a follow-up, but I have received ZERO response. I am posting this review because I believe customers should be treated with basic courtesy and respect, and management should take complaints about customer-facing employee conduct seriously.

I think this was the first time I have stepped into this Walmart. It was easy to find parking…read morebecause the parking lot had so many spaces available, yet it was a crowded zoo inside which made the shopping experience less enjoyable. It was so hard to walk around without trying to dodge other shopping carts or other customers standing in the aisle and not moving aside to make space (zero awareness of surroundings). This visit comes after a road trip to the midwest where I visited many Walmarts and found those stores much more calm and enjoyable, than the visit to this store in Milpitas. I found a couple of items I needed. The tube of E6000 was easy to find in the crafting section, which saved me a trip to Michaels. I needed some frozen pineapples and walked toward the freezer aisles looking for frozen fruit signage. No signage for "frozen fruit", but saw a sign for "frozen vegetables" and guessed it might be down the same aisle. I walked halfway down the aisle before the kiddo called out to me to come back because I had walked right past the narrow section of frozen fruit. No signage near it, which made it difficult to notice. Signage at this store could be improved. On the upside, I found a HUGE bag of frozen pineapple chunks that will last me quite some time (I hope), so that I won't have to return here for quite some time. I wandered into the sporting goods section to see what kind of ice chests they had that also had wheels. They had every size except the size I was looking for. I was also looking for Cream of Coconut, but could not find it anywhere. Any guesses on what I was trying to make with pineapple and cream of coconut? :) I went to check out in a regular staffed register. Ok, I admit, I did not want to walk to the other end of the store to hunt down the self checkout, mostly because the store was so crowded. And then I was surprised to see a sign at the register that said "Visual & audio recording, Body-worn cameras in use". I did not see this at any of the other Walmarts I visited in the midwest. One big annoyance at this Milpitas store (which is also present at the other Walmart locations) is the lack of NFC tap-to-pay. You will not be using Apple Pay or Google Pay here. This is inconvenient, as I pretty much use tap to pay everywhere. Lack of this tap to pay feature makes transactions at Walmart feel less secure. And also appears to encourage credit card fraud. Or is the store's refusal to use NFC tap to pay -- which the majority of other retail stores already have -- a reflection of their perception that their clientele is less up to date with "newer" technology that has been around for quite some time. One good thing about the store is their restroom locations are consistent with all the other Walmart locations I've visited. There's a restroom at the front middle area, and another one in the back middle area. Even Target stores are not as consistent with their restroom locations. Oh and this store does receipt checks when you walk out the door, they must be identifying with Costco today. LOL The receipt checker was friendly.

Food: 4/5 Service: 4/5…read moreAtmosphere: 5/5 I feel like the best part of this grocery store is that there's a decent variety of veggies, fruits, meats, and all sorts of Asian snacks and it's all fairly inexpensive especially compared to places like Safeway! They accept EBT and I believe they have student discount on Sundays as well. The place is generally clean and organized and the aisles have enough space for people to go by each other without being squeezed too much. I overall like shopping here especially because there's lots of food and drinks in the same plaza and it's nice to have a lot of businesses gathered in the same place. I feel like the large majority of the older people working here whether as cashiers at the main checkout or at the food or bakery are pretty nice and friendly, maybe some of them are more brusque but I don't mind it. The only people I feel like are rude are the majority of the young people who work here?? I don't really get why but there's frequently a young person working at the main checkout who seems like they're in an awful mood and takes it out on the customers in petty ways. So weird! Otherwise, this is a great, inexpensive place to shop at, and I love the Chinese snacks, fruits, and everything else that I wouldn't otherwise get so easily at other stores. Parking in the afternoons can be somewhat difficult but I always find a spot.

I knew the store would be busy... and it was. The store was overwhelmed with customers, and it was like dodging cars on a freeway. The music was so loud and frenetic for having so many customers in the store that I left with sensory overload. Honestly, it would have been a huge benefit to the store and their employees to have calm music in the background to set a much more quiet atmosphere. It's known that music greatly helps to keep things calmer when things are this busy. The entire group I was with felt overwhelmed when we left the store and needed a quiet break from the chaos. This has never ever happened for me in an HMart so taking that into consideration. That said, I was looking for some Ahi for sushi making. They had fresh thawed ahi steaks for 5.99 lb which is a good price. Many people understand that freezing fish can kill parasites. They only had one pack so I asked at the meat counter if they had more. They said they would have them at 5 pm. The frozen ahi sashimi grade tuna was priced at something like $49.99 a pound. I've never seen a price like this which is was mind blowing. But I digress. A sign of the times? Not sure. I'm not a Karen. lol. I highly respect stores and how hard people are working especially on a busy holiday. I asked the butcher if it could possibly be given a bit earlier than 5 pm because I lived far away. He turns to another person and starts talking about me in Spanish thinking I did not hear or understand what he was saying. He was majorly bad mouthing me. I looked at him and said..."I understand Spanish." That's all I said. He looks embarrassed and said "sorry" and walked away really fast. I didn't follow him, talk to him, report him to management or say anything to even acknowledge his rudeness. I'm saying something here without his name on purpose. He was probably having a bad day. I honor that. But the entire experience at this location is one I've never had at HMart. Most likely I won't return to this location. No... I'm not mad at this butcher. I don't know what his day was like. I know what the energy was like in the store and the music alone with that many people could put anyone on edge. I didn't find many places in this store very helpful. We did get some great items which is why I rated it 2 stars. Otherwise it would have had one.
