One purple rice rolls costs $4.29 before tax and has a fried doughnut, pork floss, and pickled veggies. The pickled veggies here are savory and slightly sweet instead of sour. I appreciate the ratio of rice to all the other ingredients and how they don't skimp out on the pork floss. read more

This review is focused on the prepared food section of the market. Ran in there late in the evening right before they closed the prepared food area. The lady working behind the counter was very helpful. I asked for a large Togo box of the green beans and she filled up the entire box and then some. The box was so filled where she couldn't even close it. So she had to Saran Wrap the box before putting it in a bag. When we got home I heated it in the microwave and it was super tasty. The green beans even come with sliced smoked tofu. So good! My family couldn't stop eating it and we had so much left we were able to eat it again the following day and for lunches as well. We will definitely be back to at least pick up the green beans. read more

Friendly staff. Good finds once in a while. Goods are generally very reasonably priced. Many times I find prices are lower here compared to the larger chain supermarket. Small deli and bakery department inside the market. They also give out deli coupons with total over $20. I think for every $20 purchase, they give out a $1 deli coupons. read more

The food is okay, but the service from the owner/cashier, I think her name is Kim (tall dyed hair, middle aged woman who always have a stuck up face that no one could like) , is the worst of its kind. There was one time I was buying something under $1 with my credit card. She mumbled in vietnamese thinking I couldn't understand vietnamese that why would anyone buy anything under $1 and use a credit card, no thank you or anything. That's not all yet, a 2nd time I ran into her again had her line all open for customer to go in pay. Yet when we show up, she told us to go to the other long and busier line while she sits there and cut her nails, just right after serving another customer. I purchase chicken wings and ribeye steaks on Friday 6/16/25 and I tried to cook them today Monday 6/19/25. Chicken wings were slimy and smelled bad. The ribeyes were tough and one smelled off. The labels all indicated they were not expired and I had until 6/22. My credit card statement said Hashi 25 sf llc. I don't appreciate being sold rotten meats. They also increased prices and quality overall went down when Hashi took over. I miss the old Marina. Hashi should be ashamed of themselves! read more

This Asian grocery is amazing for an independent grocery. It's huge, the size of a 99 Ranch but has a huge diversity of ingredients that can't be found in other Asian groceries. I found a couple of things I've been looking for over 10 years at this store (not wanting to buy online). The prices are less expensive and the produce looks great. Important these days with grocery prices higher than ever. The shelves are not perfect as they could use a fresh coat of paint but that probably contribute a to the less expensive items that I'd have to pay more for anywhere else for the exact same thing. A great Chinese/pan-Asian supermarket, with a similar selection to 99 Ranch but with a little more Vietnamese and Filipino goods. Prices on packaged groceries are around 10% cheaper than 99 Ranch on average, but sales are not as common. Overall, this is a great alternative if you're ever in the area. read more

The store is a little dirty. It used to be worse before the pandemic. I remember the section by the cold drinks used to be full of mold. Now they have cleaned it up and sell hot pot ingredients there. They have a good selection of snacks and Asian food. I've stopped by to this Marina Grocery maybe twice. My visits aren't too bad but I'm not left with anything positive and memorable either. Produce section seems fairly tidy. I always see workers in the area either restocking or pushing around a cart full of vegetation. The tiny bakery located inside is pretty small and the pastries in the case [excluding the cakes] always look like they've been sitting out for DAYS. Thanks but no thanks when it comes to this department. I don't have any complains when it comes to rudeness but it can be very frustrating when you approach workers on the sales floor and they can't seem to understand what you're saying. There is pretty much little to no help when it comes to having questions answered if you are any other race beyond Chinese. 2.5 stars read more

The good: I went to Ocean market to get young coconut but they didn't have any. Marina came to the rescue. I got 10 of them for around $2.50 each. Some are younger than others but they were very tasty and sweet. I thought it was cool how they had a cold refrigerator flower section with orchids. They also have a small bakery area with cakes and pastries. They also have a hot ready-to-eat food area. The bag boy/man was very friendly. The bad: My family friend had called in advance and asked if they sold boxes of young coconut but they only sold them individually. The lines moved slow here because they only had 2 cashiers open when I came. The interesting: They sold interesting things like frozen crepe cake, frozen fried durian and lots of fish skin chips. read more

The service at the bakery today was awful. I've been to the bakery many times and until day was never treated so rudely. The lady working there basically refused to serve us. I've been going to this place for their fresh produce and seafood but this place has gone down a lot The meat and fish section is dirty. I went to buy fish and saw the guy who wast cutting the meat wiped his runny nose and resumed handing/slicing the meat without changing his gloves or washing his hands!! It was pretty nasty. This Marina Grocery location is very nice! It plays a lot of old music like "Hold Me" by Fleetwood Mac. The food is really nice. Most veggies are quite fresh. Leeks are nice! They are not as expensive, but the Chinese Leeks are $4.99 a pound. It's quite pricy. However, it's not as pricy as the one at Milpitas 99 Ranch. Over there it is $6.99 a pound. That's extreme! The cashiers were helping me as I bagged the groceries. The many cashiers were sweet. The place is not too crowded, but the sounds of fridges and music can be heard clearly. The market is not as clean and organized. And their selections are limited. The worse is the hot delights area. They only accepted cash and if you want to use your credit card, you pay up front but then, whatever the coupons that they gave become useless since they won't accept them. With covid, who carries cash anymore... And the ladies who work there need major customer service improvement. We will avoid this market. Ranch 99 is close by and it's so much cleaner, more selections, well organized and the services are so much better. My first visit here. The place is not organized and staff is not friendly. Prices are too high. Would not be going back here again.

Of all the Asian Markets I've been to Marina Grocery ranks last for its poor choice of selected meats, fish and poultry and I can tell by the expire date on the packages not on all of them but its best to check it out. Hankook, Mitsuwa and Marukai have a better selection of fresh meats and fish not to mention bento lunches. Some of the cashiers/clerks lack any sense of manners whatsoever which is why I seldom shop here and beside the place is kind of dirty and not very organized. That being said I'm only here for the take out at the food court which serves Chinese meals from egg rolls to combo lunches and they were freshly made and the ladies working here are always pleasant and friendly. The egg rolls were 89 cents far cheaper than King's Eggroll and the chicken fried rice was delicious for a quick meal I rather go here than at Subway or even at McDonald's read more

This store is probably one of the cheapest Asian grocery stores around east/south bay in terms of snacks and non-produce items. They have a huge variety of Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese, and Filipino food, and something is always on sale. There are particular items that are cheaper at this store than other branches of Marina, causing me to always come back for more. This Marina also has a nice bakery section with fresh breads that are very reasonably priced. My favorites are the pork sung pineapple bun, pork sung salad bun, and peanut butter pineapple bun. Each bread is about ~$2.25, and sometimes there are buy 3 get 1 free deals. read more

Yesterday was a LONG day for me. I left the house at 9am and did not get home till past 9pm but at least my groceries are done. After a frustrating grocery run at SF Supermarket (they did not have tomatoes, cabbage, and most importantly: boneless and skinless chicken breasts). That reminds me I will never return to that market. I originally turned into this plaza across the street from the Milpitas library for CVS. I needed a "gift" for my 3 year old cousin. It was his birthday party yesterday and I seriously almost (99.9%) cancelled but then I got 3 calls and a text that everyone is waiting for my appearance. Why - I do not know. This grocery store is pretty big, well lit, and seems to be pretty stocked and what I like is that the vegetables were listed in English and in Vietnamese. There are times I do not know which is which; like up till this day, I know how to make canh mong toi and I know how to read Vietnamese to look for it but a) I do not know the American name and b) I don't know how it looks like... Watch out with the ladies work at hot deli.. they are not honest. I purchased crabs from grocery and asked hot deli of they cook for me. They showed me the paper with prices mounting near the cashier, it said: One crab or one lobster: $10 Two crabs or two lobsters: $15 Three crabs or three lobsters: $20 After 3 crabs or 3 lobsters: $5 additional each So I purchased total 3 crabs + 2 bags of noodles, paid at grocery's cashier and gave to them. In order to appreciate the chef, I tipped him right after I handed him the crabs. After the chef finished cooking, I came to pay at hot deli's cashier. There was one lady asked me how many crabs, I said 3 and also told her I already paid for 2 bags of noodles. This lady said $20 but there was one more lady she was there and said "charged her $25 + tax". I was confused about the extra $5 she wanted to charge me, I asked her why $25 for 3 crabs, she said additional $5 already mentioned in the paper. What the..! I told her that was not what it said in the prices, she said yes, that is what it means, that I supposed to pay additional $5 for the chef because he cooked for me. I knew she was not made any sense, but I really appreciated the chef's hard work so I just paid $25 plus tax which was $27.75 I just did not want to argue with the ladies, I wanted to share with people to be careful with those ladies. Went here yesterday to buy a newspaper since they have newspapers. I had to line up which was fine with me due to coronavirus that has been going on for the past two weeks. Will not go back until the coronavirus ends as they only allow one person at a time. Another reason was the cashier as she was so very rude.
