It depends on what you come to this Chinese grocery store to buy. Cantonese-Chinese songs are usually playing in the background. Don't expect excellent customer service here. They do the minimal to keep the place operating. Inflation prices have impacted most grocery stores. This location has gone from a 4-5 to a 3-4 rating these days. It's not as exciting to visit anymore. They used to be fully stocked with grocery items, especially in the meats/freezers areas until their refrigerators broke down few years ago during pandemic, causing lesser customers to revisit. Only entrance doors on left side is open. They still have good deals if you compare them to 99 Ranch stores or Marina grocery store though. It's less expensive and more affordable at Lion's Supermarket. Fresh clams $11.10 for roughly 1.7 lbs., $6.99 per bag frozen shrimp headless with shells on, and $6.99 per bag cuttlefish/carved squid. You can do a lot with grocery items here. Inexpensive. Some of the shelves looked empty, but it's still a convenient place to stop for fruits and vegetables. Lots of noodles and sauce ingredients too. One piece fresh ginger $0.35, 2-3 pieces red/green bell peppers $1.40-$1.69, full bag of green scallions $0.99 each, etc. Saw fresh shrimps with heads & shells on $3.99 per lbs. Sometimes, it goes for $2.99 per lbs. If only they invested into a much better building. This place is old. Food packaging are pretty clean and bundled up pretty good. I would still pick up items here knowing that it is more expensive elsewhere around here. Employees chat with each other very much. Manager needs to smile more. They have the basics. Inventory is limited these days. Empty shelves are common. Glad to have a Lion's Supermarket in Milpitas, CA. They are still important if you want to buy groceries and cook delicious meals at home.

As shocking as it may be, this particular Asian supermarket may be the worst of the worst when it comes to me stepping foot in.... No refrigeration was working or being used the way that it should have. Items we're being stored randomly in the fridges and was simply very awkward. There was a lingering stench that I can only assuming came from this mess. While there were a couple of snacks I was intrigued by, everything else was just okay. There were plenty of empty slots in the shelves throughout the market. I'm not sure if this store is going out of business or possibly gearing up for an upgrade but how things are currently being managed is a complete N-O!! Make your way to the next nearest supermarket, this one is a complete dud!

Tagged on shelve or basket for $0.89 each on these bone spoons but their systems would scam for higher prices.

This Lion Market in Milpitas is owned by greedy scammers who post price tag on shelve low prices to attract people to buy then at the check out, you will need to pay 50% more than what you see from their shelve price! I purchased these bone China spoons and their tag prices were on the blue basket for 89 cents each on 6/10 at 2pm. There were 5 of these prices tags for 89 cents on the attached photo. At the check out lane #1, a supervisor/casher (dual roles) scanned at the spoon for $1.29. I then told her it should be 89 cents each as seen on the shelves. She went to the household section to check for the price tag and she told me that is old price and now it is $1.29. I told her your store should honor the price of what customer sees and they said you don't need to buy. She then asked her store assistant/warehouse clerk to make sure to remove that $0.89 price tag. In this scenario both the supervisor and store clerk knew old price was less than a dollar but they still charge at what their "systems" show at and make customer overpaid 50% extra from the original price tag! ( I brought 5 spoons and they made me overpaid $2.) This store has so many tricky, unfaithful, dishonest supervisor and their staffs grouping together to trick customers to overpay their groceries and home goods! The manager does not honor their price and put blame on customers by overcharging. Also this Vietnamese owned grocery store inside smell like rotten dead mice, my clothes was smell like dead meat after short staying of shopping. I highly doubt of their quality of safety and hygiene on meat and fruit. I would suggest people to shop at H-Mart, Osaka Market, or any other Korean market chains for their fresh produce, honest, and polite customer services.

Good service and products here, Rice is insanely cheaper than Safeway too. Safeway and similar grocery stores only sell rice in small quantities, but you can get big bags of rice of different types from around the world for cheap.

Came to this Asian supermarket during COVID-19. Not many shoppers in the store today on a Sunday afternoon. I guess it is because of COVID-19 situation. The price for products and food sold at this store location is fair, compared to Korean H-mart and 99 Ranch supermarket. Produces are fresh, even with seafood and meats. Overall I will give 4 stars, minutes one star for my cashier's at check out. The male cashier pretended he only understand English, not Chinese. However, he was asking his colleague in Chinese for price check on some of items at check out. Need more improvement for customer service.

Though, they have no area to sit down. They have good prices on some of their produce and other things. I also like that the prices are bold. LOL. NOTE: They do no allow photos!!! After years of construction, I was excited to finally check out Lee's Supermarket in San Jose, but…read morethe experience was pretty lackluster. Honestly, it didn't feel like a newly remodeled store. It felt more like they just put up a new sign outside. They might as well have had a banner that said "under new management." Lee's is known for their great sandwiches, so I expected more of a café-style setup where you could browse a variety of sandwiches and maybe sit down to eat. Instead, there's no seating area and the menu is just a large LCD screen listing sandwich names and prices with no photos. The store itself feels cramped, with most of the space dedicated to shelves rather than any place to relax or enjoy food. I was hoping for something closer to a Whole Foods style experience where you could grab a sandwich, a drink, and maybe meet friends. Instead, it feels like a typical Asian market without much innovation. The one cool touch was that every checkout lane had fresh baked baguettes ready to go. That and my sandwich was delicious but instead of eating it right than and there I had to drive home in traffic and eat it cold. I just love eating em' freshly made and the bread right out of the oven. For sandwiches, I'll probably stick to the regular Lee's Sandwich locations nearby.

This order was a mix of frozen staples, fresh produce, and pantry essentials, and overall it really reminded me why I keep coming back. Mommy's Gourmet Pork Rice Dumpling with Salted Egg Yolk (Frozen, 12 oz) This is one of those comfort foods I grew up eating, so I'm pretty picky about it. Among all the frozen zongzi I've tried from supermarkets, this one is hands down my favorite. The glutinous rice is fragrant and sticky without being gummy, and the filling is generous. Inside you get lean pork, Chinese sausage, and a salted egg yolk that adds that rich, savory bite. I like that the pork isn't overly fatty, but there's still enough richness to make it satisfying. The flavor is balanced and not overly salty, and if I want more punch, I just add a little soy sauce. It's not quite as good as homemade zongzi from family, but the convenience more than makes up for it. You get two dumplings per pack, which makes it perfect for a quick meal or snack when a craving hits. Yellowtail Hamachi Premium Loin, Sashimi Grade (1-1.4 lb) This was the standout of the order. The piece I received was large, very fresh, and exceeded my expectations. The texture was clean and firm, with a buttery richness that made it perfect for sashimi. We sliced it thin and ate it simply with soy sauce and wasabi, and it honestly tasted comparable to what you'd get at a good sushi restaurant, but at a much better price. Because the portion is so big, it's easy to divide it into multiple meals. I've used it for sashimi, poke bowls, and even lightly seared slices, and it held up beautifully. This is one of those items that feels like a luxury but is actually very practical if you like making Japanese-style dishes at home. Takaokaya Sushihane Roasted Seaweed (10 sheets) This is my go-to nori for sushi and rice rolls. The sheets are crisp, evenly roasted, and strong enough that they don't tear easily when wrapping sushi or onigiri. I also like cutting them into strips for noodles or rice bowls. The texture stays crunchy and the flavor is clean, not bitter. A very reliable product that lasts a long time and works for everything from sushi nights to quick snacks. S&B Wasabi Tube, Family Size (3.17 oz) I usually buy the small tubes, but this larger size just makes more sense. The flavor is sharp and spicy without tasting artificial, and it pairs perfectly with sashimi, sushi, and seafood. A little goes a long way, and it keeps well in the fridge. It's also cheaper than buying multiple small tubes, so this is an easy upgrade if you use wasabi often. Song Hay Double Happiness Navel Oranges (10 lb) This was a huge bag, and most of the oranges were sweet, juicy, and refreshing. They're great as a daily fruit or for sharing with family. Like with most large produce orders, there were a couple that weren't perfect, but overall the quality was solid, especially for the price. When they're good, they're very sweet and satisfying. Organic Purple Sweet Potatoes (3 lb) These are a staple in my kitchen. The potatoes were small to medium in size, which actually makes them easier to cook. They're naturally sweet, soft when baked or steamed, and very filling. I like roasting a batch and keeping them in the fridge for quick breakfasts or snacks. They're healthy, versatile, and consistently good. Sand Pears / Crystal Pears (about 5 lb) These pears are juicy, crisp, and lightly sweet. I like eating them fresh, but they're also great cooked with rock sugar if you're craving something soothing. The flesh is tender and refreshing, and when they're good, they're really enjoyable. A nice balance between sweetness and freshness. CJ Bibigo Chicken & Vegetable Dumplings (Frozen, 1.5 lb) These are a freezer staple for busy days. The wrappers are thin, the filling is well-seasoned, and they're easy to cook whether you steam, boil, or pan-fry them. I like them best pan-fried with a crispy bottom. They're flavorful without being greasy and make a quick, satisfying meal. Twin Marquis Pork & Chive Dumplings (Frozen, 1 lb) This is my favorite dumpling flavor, and this brand does it well. The chive flavor is fragrant, the pork is juicy, and the wrappers have a nice chew without falling apart. They work well boiled or pan-fried and are perfect to keep on hand for dumpling soup or quick dinners. Wei-Chuan Pork & Shrimp Wontons (Frozen) These are my go-to for wonton soup. The filling actually has noticeable shrimp, not just pork pretending to be shrimp. They come with soup packets, which makes it very easy to throw together a comforting bowl with noodles and vegetables. Super convenient and very satisfying. Weee continues to be one of my favorite online grocery options. The convenience of ordering Asian ingredients, the wide selection, and the quality of most products make it worth it.

This supermarket is located inside the Park Victoria Plaza in Milpitas, California. It seems like this is a Vietamese run and owned supermarket, with a select few staff who also speak Chinese, as well. This is a very older supermarket in a smallish shopping center, but also has plenty of parking spaces. The inside is very old, and could really use a remodel to make it more modern, but for a supermarket, it does the job. The cleanliness isn't quite there compared to a 99 Ranch Market or other chain supermarket, but thus one seems like a single location, non chain. The prices here are pretty reasonable, especially for the fruits, not sure how they are able to compete with other stores and offer fruits are relatively low low prices. Oranges are $0.49 LB! These is the cheapest I've seen, even previously, they've offered them at $0.39 LB too. Again, not sure how they can sell them so cheap! We also really like the Fried Tofu they sell here for $4.99, the only supermarket that sells this kind. It's large sized, fried square tofu puffs. We get this every visit we come here. They sell alot too! The customer service here is really non-existent, meaning there is basically none, unless you speak their language, which is vietnamese. They automatically start talking to you in vietnamese, not much english with the cashiers, although they do understand basic english. Plenty of parking in the lot, so no worries there and they also have plenty of shopping carts for customers to use. However, I wish they would provide some shopping cart corrals for the parking lot, so customers have a place to return it after use. Overall, just a 3 star. Basic supermarket, nothing spectacular.
