    Sesame ball

I bought sesame ball Sunday . It's so hard to eat. But outside it doesn't look like over cooked. It suppose to be soft because it made of sweet rice flours. It's definitely from day before. A left over refried. How hard is it? I can cut it and see the edge. One time I have found a piece of hair in that sesame ball. I returned it right away. No picture.

IMHO Stopped in after having lunch in the area. This is one of the cleanest, brightest, and most organized Ranch 99s I've ever been in. Perhaps it was the time we visited, but it wasn't very crowded, which was a plus! Produce was very nicely merchandised and looked very fresh. The Chinese veggies which are a staple for us, are usually at a good price. It's been a long time since I've purchased any roast pork or BBQ pork from their deli, and it will still be a long time! So expensive. I'm lucky that my husband can make these at home on occasion! We had $2 deli coupons to redeem at the deli counter and I wasn't about to let them expire, so I chose 3 steamed pork buns. I was very happy to find these buns had more pork meat inside and were very tasty and moist! This was a good deal! If we're ever back on Barber Court, yes, we'll stop back in!

I love this supermarket. One of the cleanest 99 Ranch Markets I've ever seen. We always go to their deli and fill up a box full of delicious thing and the cost is under $15 bucks. You can also get endless variety of delicious Asian snacks and produce.

A quick update. We rarely go to this 99 Ranch, but if we're on route or nearby and need to grab something here, we do drop by. Last time I came here was again to specifically find something I can't find at Trader Joe's or Costco or if I need an ingredient and I'm on an errand and this is the only grocery on route, then that's when I drop by here. This market can get a bit busy during lunch times as the shopping area hosts a lot of popular restaurants and thus parking can be quite stressful as well as hard to get. When checking out and you only have a couple items, check to see if the back check out counter is open. Usually it's for cigarettes, liquor or scratch offs, but they usually take people if someone is there and you only have a few items instead of a cart full. They usually have a few cashiers at front but a lot of folks tend to have a lot of items so it may take some time to check out. Besides that, it's one of the older 99 Ranch Markets in the area so although it's fairly sized, it's not super large as the newer ones like the one on Mission Blvd at the interchange of 680 and 880. But then again that one on Mission used to be a Ross Dress For Less so they just utilized the larger space. Overall, it's ok. Not bad especially for your specialty asian super markets.

Lot of food but not hot!

This review for the hot deli. The staff are so rude. Probably they don't speak English well so they treat people don't speak Chinese differently. They gave a lot of food, but the food is not hot at all.

Love to stop by this Ranch 99 in the plaza after eating dinner. They have some new toy machine by the entrance, is prefect for kids to kill time while the adult getting their grocery done. Ambiance is nice, bright and clean inside. Their meat and veggie stations both looks organize and clean. Service was quick at cashier, if you love to try their bakery, cooked food or bbq items at the food court area, should use the coupon after shopping. Usually you get $1 coupon per every $10 you spend.

My co-workers and I would spend our lunch hour at the self service take-out a lot cheaper than dining out at the Chinese restaurants. The ladies working here are super nice always greet us when we come by and prices are reflected by the size of the box $22.95 large, $10.85 medium and $6.95 for small portions are very generous usually order fried rice, noodles and chow mein. They even had a special a full plate of fried noodles for $5.20 couldn't passed that up. I liked how they have a variety of Asian goods Japanese, Korean, Chinese and Vietnamese. Mochi, gyoza, kimichi, Korean ramyeon and ramen are my top choices. They also have a whole display of baked breads and pastries though their prices are a bit more than at Sheng Kee located in the same general location at the Milpitas Square. Cashiers are friendly and every time we check out they would give us a coupon no complaints quite a surprised to see only a few shoppers around on a Friday afternoon.

I used to come here more in the past, but not on my way home. This location has a fairly decent size store. Store is clean, light a re bright, isles are wide enough r for two carts to pass by. I usually come for their fresh produce and fish. Their Deli department has decent stuff for when I am on the go in a rush. I noticed they were serving huge size of salt and pepper prawns in the deli section on one of the buffet trays. I had them in the past but not in that size. I was supposed to see it. They have fresh crab on sale for $5.88/lb they are roughly about 2lbs each for the ones I got. But you have to make sure you ask for the ones with two claws. That's a lesson I learned. I asked for two but didn't specify with two claws. So when I came home, I noticed one of the crab had a missing claw! So check your products before you walk out!

The staff here are really nice and helpful too. They even give you complimentary containers of their salt rub. My partner and I specifically come here specifically for their Picanha steaks which are extremely high quality and affordable. They're great to cook using the reverse sear method or grill like they do at Brazilian steak houses. They taste fantastic with chimichurri or even just with flaky salt because of how buttery the steaks are on their own. The last time we were here, we got 10 steaks for around $150 and we seriously thought we'd be spending way more. Of course the cost will depend on what you, like the prime rib here is very expensive, but weigh out your options! I do think everything else here seems to be a great price for the quality compared to mass grocers. I'd highly recommend anyone to check out this shop!

The produce section was not as extensive as those at other Asian markets, but it was still adequate. However, the store carried many unique candies and snacks that I have not seen elsewhere. Notably, sakura flavored products were especially common during my visit. There were two large sections dedicated to premade meals, including rice bowls, hand rolls, onigiri, and sushi. The rolls seemed overly heavy on the rice, with relatively little fish filling. The prices also felt somewhat high for the portion sizes. However, the store offers a 20 percent discount on sushi and bento boxes daily after 6 PM. I ordered the nigiri combination, which included salmon, tuna, and scallop. The scallop was plump, and the tuna was sliced thickly. The salmon was slightly thin but still rich and fatty. Overall, the fish quality was good. The sushi rice was above average, with a distinct vinegar flavor despite being refrigerated. The total cost for the eight pieces was close to restaurant pricing, though the convenience factor partly justified it. I would rate this market a 3.5 out of 5 but rounded up for the good sushi rice.
